You wanna bowl and spend time with family and friends, or a beer and pool, this is the place to be every night no question.

Pricing is better than Main Event which is the only other bowling in town. There is an odor or sweat and feet when u walk in and u do acclimate to it, eventually. the place is clean and the staff is friendly. few times ive ever had an issue while playing whether is a machine malfunction or something else the staff is quick to help and if your nice will usually fix and scoring issues or what not if the game messes up. This is a League place. so they have a very booked schedule for league bowling of all varieties so call and find out when the lanes are open to NON league bowlers. sometimes there are leagues and there ARE open lanes but will fill up fast. so just be prepared. every time i have wanted to going bowling on a whim they are booked the whole day so like i said always call 1st. ps i personally do not recommend main event.

These place is horrible. The service is horrible and the lanes are very crappy. We had to wait for over 15 mins for them to give us our shoes even though there was 3 people at the counter. They were just doing their own stuff and not paying attention to the customers. The lanes are very crappy and dirty, the score wouldn’t register at first for us and the balls got stuck 3 times while we were playing. The price is very expensive, and somehow they managed to overcharge us! For this price we can get a much better quality lane and environment. The people there are very rude and not welcoming, I hated this place and will never come back here again.

This is a family friendly place to have some fun and unwind. The evening was reasonably priced which was perfect for our tight budget. We all had a great time. It was a nice break from family movie night. We will definitely come back!

Very clean. Super friendly and accommodating front desk staff and waiters. We had a blast on an impromptu family night.

For 4 months straight I’d bowl here every Sunday with my brother but in the last month or so every time we drive up there a lane is never available. Even after I call before hand to make sure, so we aren’t wasting time they will say lanes are open and when we arrive they don’t have any available for hours. Also, they have 2 leagues going basically all day, along with parties all at the same time. We were regulars for the longest time but it feels now we can’t ever get a lane

Remodeling was the best decision AMF made for itself. The atmosphere gives off a retro vibe and it enhances the experience. Renting shoes is cheap as well. Overall a great bowling alley.

This place sucks. The lane broke in the last 20 mins and our game was not completed. They wouldn’t fix it. I asked for a credit, they said you don’t deserve anything. Seriously? I will talk to the Manager next time to see if they make it right.

I love this place. Its the only center open later at nights when compared to the alley’s in Plano or Richardson. I love the service. Great music too

Decided to bowl today after all it has been a year since Marvin and I connected(Marvin is my bowling balls name). On Sunday’s it’s $ 12⁄2 hours or $ 5.50 per game being the average is 3 games pp. u do the math. The first lane assigned was next to a bunch of little people back to the front desk I go and asked for a kid-free lane, was moved one over which worked for me… until older little people were placed next to me. Mind you I like little people; however, when it comes to bowling please have some etiquette no matter what age you are. I was in mid approach and the kid just walks up and throws the ball which I stopped dead in my tracks, turned and walked off the lane, the manager must have seen my face b/c he walked over and asked if we wanted another lane we said ‘YES, please!’. Mid game switched lanes but managed a 192 out of that game. Place was clean, staff were nice and helpful, popcorn was good. Only downer was the table situation, it is a shared and not sure which lane is to use which table, guess first come first serve. I will be returning soon!

I don’t ever see much difference between bowling alleys, but this place was ok. The staff was nice enough to let us use a coupon that had just expired and we didn’t realize it, so that was very awesome of them! The food was normal bowling alley food.

Loved coming here for cheap fun and cheap drinking. The only complaint that I would have is that one of the bartenders must not have wanted to be there that night because she needed some happy pills

It’s about the only time I can get a lane, now that I think of it. Around noon on the Lord’s day, while the executioners, ku kluxers, and Hayekians are off paying lip-service to the Crucified, I sit up slowly in bed, the picture of hang-dog, bag-eyed dissipation, wearily contemplating the lonely life of a Nietzchean in the New Jerusalem. At times like these, I brighten my spirits by heading down to the AMF Lewisville Lanes, ordering up a couple tall ones, bowling a few games, and humming«Sunday Morning Comin’ Down» to myself. The help is nice enough. The beers are prompt. The food is cheap. The shoes don’t stink. The Christians are otherwise engaged. It’s good.

The AMF Lewisville Lanes are a great place for anyone looking for some inexpensive fun. On Sundays, they only charge $ 1 per-string before noon, although the shoes do run you up a bit, I think they’re like $ 4 plus tax. Everytime I’ve gone, I’ve been able to find a lane, but I should probably mention that leagues tend to frequent the alley, making only a few lanes available. The earlier you get there the better! They do have some darn good food for a bowling alley, and they even have a bar and billiard room. The game room’s alright, a few older games with nothing that really stands out.

I’m not a bowler so this is not one of the places I frequent. I have a few friends who like to bowl here. Every time I have visited, I have hung out in the game room or near the bar. If memory serves me, the beer prices aren’t that bad but they have a limited selection.

Well… it’s a bowling alley. Now that I’ve got that out of the way — it’s pretty good as far as bowling alleys go. It’s clean, well-lit, and everything is in good condition. It’s very much OK to bring the kids here. In fact, they do birthday parties for kids, and they seem quite popular. Food from the snack bar is tastier than you’d expect at a bowling alley, though a burger or a sandwich is a couple dollars more expensive than it would be from a fast-food place. The two things that make it 4 stars instead of 5 stars for me??? 1) Shoe rental is $ 4 plus sales tax. With prices that high, those silly shoes of theirs must be a huge money maker.(A very quick search on the Internet shows that there’s many bowling shoes that you can buy NEW(never-been-worn-by-anyone-else) for just $ 20 to $ 30.) 2) Pinball. Where’s the darned pinball in the gameroom?(OK, they usually have one machine there, but it’s typically in poor condition.) [updated on 16-Dec-2007] Not that it makes much of a difference, but I see that they’ve spent some money doing some upgrading to the bowling equipment. I can’t tell if they’ve done any behind-the-scenes work, but the«ball return» equipment has been replaced.(I hope I’m using the right terminology: I’m talking about the equipment at the bowler’s end of the lane, where your ball is returned to you.) The old equipment was made by Brunswick, which — being a longtime AMF competitor — had looked very out-of-place in an AMF-branded bowling alley. The new equipment is a much more contemporary design and takes up less space to boot. The only reason that I mention it at all is that it may be an indication that they’re thinking of doing more investment in this location in the future. Final comment for today, though it’s something I should have posted during my original review: Bowling leagues are popular here, and they frequently take every lane in the building. If you’re thinking about just dropping-in for a few games, it may save you some frustration if you pick-up your phone first and call. They don’t take reservations, but they can let you know if your desired time is possible at all. Ask me how I know…
