Dickey’s Barbecue Pit

This location provides extremely slow service. We’ve gone back multiple times times thinking our previous experience was an isolated incident but unfortunately that wasn’t the case.

We took our 21 pound turkey there to be smoked for our large family Thanksgiving meal the Saturday after Thanksgiving. When we called to say we were on the way to pick it up at the appointed time they asked if they could call us back. We finally called them back 15 minutes later and they said they were sorry but they had cut up our turkey and sold it to someone else. Sad day for Dickey’s. We’ve been loyal customers for over 35 years. I will never give them my business again. I’d give them 0 stars but the app won’t let me. #DickeysFail

Food is about like any other Dickeys but this one gets a 3 because the service is so poor. The workers look tired and My guess is it is simply understaffed. We come in on Sunday’s when we just want a good BBQ meal with the kids (kids eat free). They often don’t have sweet tea. And it seems near impossible to talk to them as they are just too busy.

In general, The Franchise of Dickeys is low quality.
Please accept this review will not get into if Dickey’s is «True BBQ», accept the fact that the non-​orginal locations are fast-​food BBQ.
The okra is always cooked to fast and the middle is undercooked (when fresh). The meats seam to be dried out from too much time on steam table. The Westerner is never offered with Cheese (as it is at all other locations that i have been to).
I will start going to a location that is 4 miles farther away ignored to obtain the quality/​consistency that should be expected with the Dickey’s brand.

We went in there at 8:00 pm and the door said that they closed at 9:00. It looked like they were all ready to close. I understand that they were out of some food items and that is fine. When we got our food, there was no sauce out, they had already taken that up. The meat was a bit chewy probably from sitting too long. Disappointed because we have been to other Dickey’s locations and they were much better than this.

I like Dickey’s when I am looking for some on-​the-​go bbq. It is mini-​chain bbq fare, nothing special but always reliable and that in itself can be a good thing.
This trip I opted for a loaded baked potato with chopped brisket and the result was a nice quick meal.
I wouldn’t hesitate to stop back in here.

I live just up the road from this restaurant. In my many trips, something has always gone wrong. Most of the time I have visited at night, sometimes just before closing. During my day trips, I can say that my coupons have been inputted wrong, resulting in me having to argue with the cashier about the actual cost of my meal. My night visits were slightly more problematic, in the respect that at that time, nothing is fresh. This is especially true of the brisket. I’ve been to other locations many times and never had a problem, but so many times when I’ve been to this location, the food has not been fresh. It is so disappointing to know what it SHOULD taste like and want to enjoy it but not be able to because it’s not fresh when you get it. Two stars and that’s pushing it.

So rude, one of the workers there (young Hispanic girl) was just terrible. She had such a bad attitude towards us. Food was great, service was terrible.

People say Dickeys is not real BBQ, I would rather go here than some of the real bbq places I have been to
Always consistent BBQ to me
If this is fast food I would much rather go here than other chain restaurants I have been to with clowns and kings or cows as mascots
I always get the 3 meat plate brisket, ribs, and sausage with 2 sides ‚
I just wish they had a all –u –can –eat on the sides, there are to many to pick from
If I do get the sauce I prefer the spicy
I will go back, I even joined the club

Went in there on Thursday night August 22^nd. Ordered the XL family pack with ribs, sausage, and turkey. I was told the sausage would be 5 minutes and I said okay. I also ordered green beans, broccoli salad, and baked potato casserole as a side. When I got home, the grease from the sausage had leaked so badly the bottom burst out of my sack. Some sausage spilled on the garage floor, but the rest of the food was intact. Stuff happens, right? Well, there was no turkey and it had been replaced by brisket and the medium sized green beans had only been filled up about 2/​3rds of the way. This is twice in the last 3 times I’ve had similar experiences. Do not go here! This place deserves to close.
