we had a pretty good experience here recently. Server was friendly and attentive. The bread was delicious. My petite filet was cooked a little too much but it had a nice flavor and was still juicy. Only 3 slim asparagus spears, So that was disappointing. The smashed potatoes were too salty to eat. Heavy bacon flavor was almost overpowering instead of enhancing them. Overall, a pleasant dinner and they handled crowds and large tables well.

This place had the best salmon I’ve ever had. It was like a linguine and creamy sauce. And the prices were pretty decent. Mine was a spring item so it was like $ 16 but most of their other items were like 11 to 15 which isn’t bad for high quality food. Our server was extremely nice and we were there for my Stepmother’s birthday and they brought her out sweet dessert which kind of seems similar to flan. It had been the first time I’ve been there and I was very pleased with it I’ll definitely be going back

Oh my. We are traveling from Atlanta to Chicago and decided to stop in Lexington to have dinner at Bella Notte. The reviews looked great and we were okay with driving a few miles off the route to eat. Let me say – it was WELLWORTH the trip. The service, custom cocktails, humane beef, bread, attention to detail, atmosphere were all top notch. My husband said the meatloaf was astounding. A lot of the ingredients are local and many items are house made. This is Italian done creatively, but still true to the traditional.

I had heard that Bella Notte had made some changes and I must say for all the better. Have tried both lunch and dinner at this establishment and really enjoyed my meals. Like the fact they are using some regional food vendors.

Amazing food and fantastic service. The fresh hot bread right our of the oven with olive oil and herbs was especially nice. We stopped on our way through Lexington bound for Ohio. It’s really a shame we don’t live closer.

Bella Notte is now offering Sunday Brunch from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. and based on my experience today, they are hitting on all cylinders right out of the starting gate. I was immediately intrigued by their ‘Chicken and Egg’ entrée on the brunch menu: A hand-breaded chicken breast served with a sunny-side up egg over homemade spicy sausage gravy stacked over a Parmesan biscuit. The presentation is very nice and I as glanced around the restaurant, it seemed quite a few others had ordered the same entrée. So many, in fact, I overheard a waitress inform another customer that they were now out of the dish. It was 11:45 – forty-five minutes after they opened. I am pleased to report that I thoroughly enjoyed it. The chicken breast was plump and crispy and the sausage gravy was very flavorful. You can also add a side of bacon for $ 3 and I am glad I chose to sample the bacon. It was delicious, albeit only two strips, but if you like bacon, I highly recommend the bacon at Bella Notte. Any brunch entrée includes their buffet of homemade pastries and juices. Everything I sampled was excellent and to offer it with an entrée is a nice touch. All in all it was a very satisfying brunch experience, including the very friendly service. I will definitely go back soon for brunch to try other items. By 11:45 the restaurant had filled up quickly – which is proof, at least to me, with the current limited selection of places serving brunch in town, Lexington diners are always looking for another good place for brunch – and I certainly recommend that Bella Notte be on anyone’s «Best places to brunch in Lexington» short list.

I came to Bella Notte on a Saturday evening during prom season, but made reservations so we were able to be promptly seated(a party of 6) as soon as we arrived. I had heard many good things about Bella Notte for years but had never made it a priority to try it. The verdict? Everything I had was good, but nothing was so mind-blowing that had me dying to come back. Some things to note — they have self-serve appetizers in the lobby(hummus, pita bread, etc), which is a huge plus. The ambiance is quite nice, although it felt kind of casual for something that I had expected to be a lot nicer. They do serve a fresh, hot loaf of bread with olive oil dipping sauce(very yummy. i ate the whole loaf by myself). I ordered the margherita pizza which was fine. It wasn’t amazing but it also wasn’t bad. The server was just okay — she seemed to disappear for long periods of time before coming to check on us or fill our waters. Bella Notte is a good date night place, but felt a little chain-like and wasn’t terribly original. I’d say it’s your run-of-the-mill italian place. nicer than olive garden, but no nicer than macaroni grill.

Bella Note. Never disappoints me. Went there with coworker for lunch yesterday. Our waitress was very nice. I love their olive oil infused herbs with bread. Ordered drinks and lunch. I wanted something vegetarian and ordered pasta with spinach which was decent. I wish they had wheat option for pasta though. Overall good experience. Will be back:)))

Oh my stars.(Pun intended, as there are literally stars hanging from the Bella Notte ceiling.) Went there last night to fancy up our Sunday evening, and boy, was our timing good. The daily special was an order of Diver Scallops flown in THATDAY from the Atlantic, wood fire-grilled(to perfection) and served on top of a linguine with lemon Parmesan cream sauce. Between those, the complimentary piping-hot bread round with herbed olive oil, and a nice glass of Prosecco, my Sunday dinner was DIVINE. Lovely husband had the Bella’s take on chicken piccata. What I tasted was delicious, but honestly, I was too focused on my scallops.

We went to Bella Notte tonight for my brothers birthday, our server was extremely helpful(Matthew) he was patient to wait for all of our family members to get there, after we made it an almost 3 hour dinner by waiting for everyone. The appetizer was really great, it was a sampler of calamari, mozzarella, and fried zucchini. The bread was fresh and hot that he continually brought out while we were waiting for the rest of the party-and my dish was amazing! I had a pesto chicken penne dish-everyone got something different and all looked amazing!

This place has always been a favorite for my boys and I. We have had several birthday dinners their for my older son. It has always been an excellent experience. We at there again last Saturday for the first time in a while. The service and food were excellent! The dining is indoors, but the setup is much like you would expect patio dining in the streets of Italy. This restaurant is miles ahead of the chains.

Celebration dinner out with family & I have to say there were ups & downs. Beautiful place with nice menu and terrific aromas as you enter. Truly outstanding soups and very good salads. Entries were disappointing, especially the chicken piccata which lacked flavor and was tough. I’m accustomed to Boston’s North End, Philly, San Fran and NYC for Italian, and this was not comparable. Good prices & service will doubtlessly lead us back again to try different entries and hope they live up to the Unilocal reviews we’ve seen.

Great atmosphere. Family place with good wine list. Double check! New server — college student, not too quick — but food was good and service was fast!

Bella Notte is probably our favorite spot in Lexington. I have been to Bella Notte three or four times since moving to town and have had an amazing meal each visit. The food is always fresh, full of flavor and a decent to large portion of food. Oh, and then there’s the bread! Bella Notte bread is almost worth the trip in and of itself. My wife and I met my in-laws for lunch today and stared out meal today with one of the seasonal appetizers: a butternut squash covered in Gorgonzola cheese and bacon. Can you go wrong with anything covered in bacon & cheese? We then ordered and split the seasonal Autumn Pork Chop. It was twelve ounces of goodness, cooked to perfection. It was served on top of a bed of sautéed cabbage. Delicious! We finished off our dining experience with the pumpkin donuts for dessert(seasonal). Wow! Get the pumpkin donuts before they are gone. They come with three dipping sauces; a chocolate, a bourbon cream, and a caramel. Belle Notte is one of our favorites and it should be for you too!

I do not understand why locals consider this place good– perhaps it’s the lack of edible Italian food in Lexington in general? Bella Notte was a huge disappointment. Nothing imaginative, inventive, or the least bit fresh or original. I ordered a chicken Caesar salad and the lettuce was all frozen. When I calmly asked for a new one, explaining the«fresh» lettuce clearly hadn’t been thawed, the server refused and said I would have do speak to a manager. REALLY?!? Over this Olive Garden quality salad? Everything else was similar quality, and the filet mignon was passable, but not for $ 25. Coming from a town full of foodies and 4 star restaurants, I now realize how spoiled I’ve become. Seeing as this is one of the highest rated restaurants in the area, I’m now worried to eat anywhere with even lower ratings… This place was literally a glorified Olive Garden! There was nothing remotely Italian about it, from the music to the décor to the Americanized menu. Even the dessert menu had almost all French desserts, like soufflé and crème brûlée. Don’t bother calling yourself an Italian restaurant if you can’t live up to your name.

I hedged a bet… I tried a new place on my birthday. It was worth it! We got the sampler appetizer-which was good, but the calamari was of note. I’ve had a lot of calamari at chains, and it’s gummy with a lot of breading. This had a great texture, and I will be choosing this as my app when I go back. Everything else was good, and the sauces were tasty, but that calamari tho… I got a garden salad. It was a nice, varied salad that didn’t look like it was just thrown in a bowl. It was a nice combination of vegetables, so I hardly needed the creamy vinaigrette dressing, though the dressing was good. I usually have a hard time with vinaigrettes as they will eat through salads. I was torn when it came to the meal. Their fish was Ahi Tuna, but I feel like fish can be tricky and could possibly give a bad first impression. Instead I chose the Bella Original Rigatoni Crema, and it was delicious. I can’t give you more details, it was just very good – it was umami. The crème brûlée was good. Our service was great. The bet paid off.

I had the pleasure of trying Bella Notte last night at my husband’s company holiday. The restaurant is cute: dim lighting, white lights strung on the ceiling, classy yet casual table settings. I noticed a giant [fake?] tree in one dining area decorated with lights and ornaments. It was pretty awesome, actually. Can I have a giant tree in my dining room? Our meal was wonderful. The hot oven-baked bread presented at the table in the beginning was one of the best breads I’ve ever had. Our table of four had about four loaves of bread. That’s a lot of bread. But it was soooooo good, especially in the herb/garlic/oil dip they provide. Mmmmm, yes. The original house salad was a basic salad with some kind of extra flavor it and an amazing balsamic dressing. I scarfed the salad down minutes. I was also starving, so I probably would have scarfed anything down, but yeah, I wanted more when it was done. I don’t think I’ve ever wanted more of a house salad after I finished it. Of the four entrée choices presented to us for the evening, the lasagna was the only meat-free option. Slightly bummed because lasagna isn’t my favorite dish to order. This lasagna was good, though. Not the best I’ve ever had(I think my mom’s is the best…, but pretty darn good. Thick noodles, yummy cheese, not too saucy, and just the perfect portion size. The cheesecake was a bit of a disappointment, though… at least based on how it looked. It was a thin slice of plain cheesecake with no garnish or fruit or anything on it. After our filling meal, I saw the cheesecake and exclaimed, «THIS is it!?» HOWEVER. It was a tasty little slice of cheesecake. There was some kind of light, fruity flavor that made it a wonderful end to the meal. Not the best cheescake ever, but a good end to a good meal. It’s probably best that it was small since I was so stuffed anyway. Our service was great through the evening. My glass of water always stayed above half full and the servers were quick with bringing requested items to the table. No complaints with anything from anyone. Fantastic restaurant for a holiday work party. I do hope I’ll come back here. Keeping Belle Notte in mind for special occasions!
