Caramanda’s Bake Shoppe

I found this place on line as I was looking for a bakery to order a graduation cake for my daughter’s celebration. They had a vast selection of cake design and flavors to choose from. Even though you can choose the cake on-​line I called because I really didn’t know what I wanted and the lady on the phone was extremely helpful and patient with me. The cake was a 4-​layer white cake with strawberry filing and it was so moist and tasty! We were extremely happy with it!

Best cupcakes in town. Particularly like the salted caramel, chocolate swirl and chocolate chip. They often offer great coupons that make ordering a dozen reasonable.

The cake was nothing short of amazing! Chrissy was so helpful! I have not been able to stop eating the left over cake it’s so delicious! I recommend this bakery!

This is hands down the best cake I have ever had in my life. I’ve been to every bakery in Lexington and none of them even come close to Caramandas. BEWARE After you’ve tasted Caramanda cake all other cake will seem inferior and will leave you unfulfilled. We buy any and all birthday cakes here and it was the obvious choice when it came down to buying my wedding cake. They did a marvelous job and so many of my guests complimented how amazing the cake tasted. You can’t do any better than Caramandas. They have perfected the art of cake.

This is my favorite place in town to get cupcakes. They have a great selection and flavors alternate based on the published schedule. You can check the flavor schedule online and you can always put in a special order for your favorite (s). I really love all of the seasonal offerings. When we stopped in today, in addition to the regular flavors, they had a special Breeder’s Cup cupcake and some super cute creepy Halloween cupcakes.
I always try the new flavors each season but my personal favorites are the White Chocolate Raspberry and the Pink Champagne, which they offer all year.

The cupcakes were okay. Nothing special really. I have had much much better. The salted caramel was very good! The coconut was a dry and crumbled apart as soon as I took the wrapper off. Maybe it was an old cupcake… Or it could be just the cupcakes themselves.

Did not deliver cake to a friend’s wedding despite it being paid for. Said it was out for delivery and it never came. Stopped answering phone calls to even attempt to address the situation.

Cakes are delicious! Service not so great. Don’t order online. They give you false options and make you drive to other locations to pick up your order.

These cupcakes are amazing. I recommended the place to a friend and she used them as her wedding cake. The Strawberry Shortcake cupcake is gonna be the happy death of me.

I give this place five stars because of the monster brownies. Seriously amazing!

I ordered a cake for my daughter’s graduation and asked to pick it up at 3:00. The cake was not ready on time, the fondant was ivory not white as ordered and her name was misspelled. When I pulled the cake out of the box to serve it was collapsing and the fondant was bubbling all around the sides. It was very disappointing since I paid over $ 100 for a specialty cake for a special occasion. When I pointed out the errors the staff was quick to make excuses with minimal effort to correct their errors. I am sure there are other bakeries in Lexington and other bakeries that will welcome the business that Caramanda deserves to lose. It was a complete disappoint.

Love the people at Caramanda’s! Everyone is so nice and their cakes, cupcakes, and pastries are DELICIOUS! (Peanut butter and chocolate ganache cookies are my fav.) Cupcakes are moist and perfect ratio to icing– unlike other franchised cupcakeries in Lex. What I also love about Caramanda’s is that it is locally owned and family operated. Even the bakery’s name comes from their daughters Cara and Amanda! So cute.
Recently I stopped by for a last minute birthday dessert for my mom, and was surprised they had a layered chocolate cake (with chocolate chunks in the cake– yum!) and chocolate buttercream in the fridge for casual pick up– no order ahead necessary! The cake was a smash hit, and I would recommend it to any chocolate lover.
I also love their marketing design. Looking like a big shot on a local bakery budget is an incredible feat. Being a designer myself, I can appreciate the efforts they put into their branding. I just wish their Southland location was as charming as Boston Rd– maybe if they could have a patio set up with some umbrellas for the summer it would be more inviting. But that won’t stop me from coming back for more! 5 Stars!

Caramanda’s cupcakes are okay at best. Both the cake and icing are pretty bland, and what flavors they do put in their cakes or icing tastes artificial.
If you want amazing cupcakes in Lexington, then go to Babycakes on Liberty Rd.

So I went to Caramanda’s about 30 minutes before they closed and I was excited to see that there were still a good amount of options left. The crazy weather we had earlier that day might have has something to do with that as well. Anyhow,
I got the Coconut Dream and German Chocolate cupcakes. I’m a BIG fan of coconut and really enjoyed those cupcakes. They were moist and had a good balance of cake and icing. I’m not a fan of cupcakes that have more icing than cake… you might as well call it an icing cake.
If you’re looking for a good cupcake and lots of options, this is a great place to go. Compared to another cupakery, $ 2.75 for a cupcake is a great price. I don’t know how that’s considered pricey?! They also have a variety of cookies and ice cream. From doing more research they also make cakes, but I’ll stick to the it’s little cousin for my sugar fix.

delicious cupcakes, a little spendy. Got a whole slew of cupcakes for an anniversary party. They were well liked, esp the white choc raspberry, white wedding less impressive, choc peanut butter also a good pic. I wish they had vegan options for us will allergies.

The Absolute BEST cupcakes and cakes I have ever had! The white chocolate raspberry cupcake is so good it makes my tongue tingle!!! Beautiful birthday cake from my soon to be mother-​in-​law last year too! Words can not express my love for this place!
