This place is OK. Just like every other Cracker Barrel in the world. I tend to stick to the catfish or the meatloaf, both of which is usually great. The only problems here are that the service is pretty slow even when the place is not that crowded and sometimes I feel like I am at a church service as I am subjected to the music choice of the company. They have some great stuff in the store, though, like unique candies and sodas. I generally only come here if I have a gift card or someone else is paying. :)

After waiting 45 minutes for my take out order that was called in I finally get a manager to tell me they ran out and someone was supposed to have told me. Got my refund and will never call in an order again!

I don’t do many chain restaurant reviews but received poor service on my last visit so I wanted to pass it on. Ate here on Friday New Years night and the wait was 35 minutes. What’s funny is there were numerous open tables but they weren’t cleaned and ready. Our waitress struggled to get food, drinks, silverware, etc to us and the tables around us. When your waitress says«bare with me» multiple times to you and multiple other parties you know it’s going to be a long night. I’m guessing management didn’t have enough staff on hand, and the speed of those who WERE on hand could certainly be improved. One final note, the main reason we chose Cracker Barrel was the fact that they traditionally provide diners with a small complimentary portion of black eyed peas on New Year’s Day which supposedly brings good luck. Our waitress had no clue about this but eventually brought two servings to the table. Hopefully these service problems will be corrected by management in the not too distant future. The food by the way was fine.

Love the food and store. Today I got salmon patties which were amazing and tasty. Greens were meaty and delicious as usual. Cucumber tomatoes salad was the only bust. Random uncut cherry tomatoes and zero flavor. Such a disappointment. Biscuits are flaky and tasty and a pancake was my dessert. Fix your politics and I wouldn’t have to feel guilty coming and I’d go more. As it is, I may come once a year max. Service was great by the way!

Service was outstanding, and the food was great! We hardly waited 10 minutes and our food was out.

Let’s face it, we’ve all been to a Cracker Barrel. Where did they come up with that name? I have no idea. It started in the 70s, which was way before my time. Now there are hundreds, maybe thousands of CBs. Whenever I’m with either of my parents, anywhere in the country, this is their restaurant of choice. This particular location is a bit special to me though. This was my grandpa’s favorite location. He never drove, so many times when I would visit him, he’d convince me to take him here. He’d flirt with the waitresses, and order catfish. I miss that man. As I was an adult, he was my only living grandparent, my other grandparents died when I was a child. If you have a grandparent, take them to a CB for me. Grandpa passed a few years ago, but it still crossed my mind that I needed to buy him a gift card when I was checking out at the register Friday. Like every other location, this one is right off of the interstate, but it was near Grandpas house. I’m sorry, but I will never think of a single CB and not think or mention my grandpa. I hadn’t been to this one in a few years. This location always seems busier and service seems slower than others. It was my Aunt Pat’s birthday and this was her place of choice, so here I was last Friday night. We always start with requesting biscuits and cornbread, those are free at every location. In honor of Grandpa, my daughter and I ordered and split the Fish Friday meal. They let us substitute a side salad for the claw slaw. The four pieces of fish weren’t consistent though. One piece was soggy and the batter seemed like it needed to be cooked longer, another piece was crispy and I picked the browned parts off. I alway love the giant steak fries, I ate all of those and my daughter ate the side salad… plenty enough food for us two.

The good: the food, customer service, coffee, the store, checkers, rocking chairs. The bad: greasiness. The rundown: you know, for a massive chain restaurant you really can’t find much wrong with Cracker Barrel. Delicious food, old timey atmosphere, great coffee, the little peg game!!! Really though the little peg game, I can only ever get it to two. Cornbread is great, gravy is great, the country fried beef steak and chicken are to die for. This is one of the only places to get fried ocra, I mean really who makes that? I love the store with lots of little things I don’t need but want. Checkers while sitting in a rocking chair, awesome. The only downside I have to say is that after eating it you need a nap from all the fat and grease, but hey, would you be here if you didn’t want it. The impression: if you need to carb load, if you need to load up on protein, if you want food like your grandma would make it, if you like to emulate the feeling of a simpler time, this is your place!

Cracker Barrel is a quick, enjoyable place to go with friendly service, good food, and atmosphere… Like most Cracker Barrels. Had a great ribeye and 3 side of dumplings — now that’s top notch! Most ‘reviewers’ stick up their noses at chains. Why? It’s good! Cracker Barrel is a restaurant I plan to go to again!

Love me some home style chicken on Sunday’s at CB! Service is a bit sketchy and they are really busy most times but most all the food here is great!

A great place for Sunday breakfast before heading out to the events at the Horse Park and elsewhere. Very popular, very consistent, very reliable, very successful. Portions are generous to the point one must call a «Stop» before overfilling the tank. Cracker Barrel is a well-known and reliable brand — what you see and what you expect is exactly what you get. And it’s a very good value.

I’m a fan of Cracker Barrel and always turn to it for a consistent, awesome breakfast. I would normally give a CB5 stars, however the service was not up to par with other locations. Sunday mornings are definitely tough — I can only imagine how difficult it is to manage. Most of the staff was very friendly, however our waitress seemed quite annoyed when our table of 6 had a few requests throughout the meal(refills, condiments, etc). Again, I can only imagine the craziness of a Sunday-rush — however we felt as through our group was a burden for coming in.

I ordered the rainbow trout and it was delicious as usual. The server was very friendly and followed up on us often. I came in with 4 others and we all enjoyed our meals. He got us all plenty of biscuits and cornbread, my favorite. The apple butter is awesome when paired with biscuit and corn bread. As usual, a $ 10 meal here is enough for lunch and a snack, sometimes another meal. Always a great experience in my books. I’ve been to cracker barrels all over the country and every experience has always blown me away.

What do Old people, rocking chairs, checkers, fireplace, stick candy, old fashion décor, southern cookin, and great hospitality have in common? THISPLACE. Its like someone kidnapped Paula Dean and put her ass in the kitchen here. Their food is southern and made with love. Not many places can you get breakfast anytime of the day. Great service with a friendly smile every time at this location.

some guests must be blind and dont see the salads that are not fried, the soups that arent fried, the sandwiches that arent fried(some are cold and mixed, others grilled), must have missed the different grilled fish dinners, the baked and grilled chicken dinners, the roast beef(which I had tonight and was awesome) and almost every veggie is cooked instead of fried! Had great service, the only negative thing was the men’s room which looked like it had not been cleaned since this morning before they opened. Smelled terrible, urine on floor, paper towels overflowing on floor. Manager said she would take care of it.

Looked at the menu and realized that the healthiest thing on it was the cobbler. It wasn’t fried and at least it had fruit in it. So I had that for dinner; apple. Never again. I respect myself too much.

FIVESTARS for water to go, hah! after your fat meal the lady server asked us if we would like some water to go?! huh, u say… right! i would love some water to go because all this food will gonna make me leaving thirsty. PLUS you cant beat southern hospitality. LOVES it. i think sf can learn a thing or two from the south. otherwise the food is white people food. colorless and seasoned with salt. the splash of color will come from the garnish that you’re not suppose to eat.

Yeh haw!!! That’s right I traveled here down here from SC back down to IL. I be always amazed that them there food doesn’t make me sick for spell. This be my third visit to one and I swear I’ll get that peg game down. I always for some reason think that the food is cheap and is ateable I but I recon then a hour(or three flys cross a donkey’s butt) or so goes by and I’m never feelin that good.
