I explored and have mixed feelings about this place. The clothing selection? Massive, but looks cheap. Nothing appealed to me, the fabric looked cheap, and the prices were a bit higher than I expected. On the other hand, home décor? Pretty fantastic. That selection was also huge, but so much better! Tons of vases, canvas art, funky wall art, random pieces of furniture, dishes, and more. A lot of the décor was unique(haven’t seen them elsewhere) and fun! A giant red converse shoe pillow? YES. The bacon sign? My husband loved it and even has the photo I snapped of it as his phone wallpaper(I won’t eat pigs, sorry). Rustic and chalkboard signs? Oh yes, indeed. The prices were reasonable, too. We were pleasantly surprised and keeping Gordmans in mind when I’m in ‘need’ of decorative pieces for our home or fun house gifts for others. Just staying away from the clothes(oh, and probably avoiding this shopping area during peak hours).

I agree that you will find some cool stuff in their home goods section. I almost always find something in there that’s at least funny or that I need for my apartment. They also have an excellent selection of Haribo Gummy varieties by checkout, which as a gummy fiend, can be important. And they do have really good coupons. Their clothing department is worth a glance, but almost entirely forgettable. I’ve been in this store 5 – 6 times, and just today wandered enough to discover that they have a shoe department. Weird. Worth visiting, but I often would rather spend some time at Marshall’s.

This is one of two Lexington Gordmans locations. I went to this Gordmans first day that it opened. There really isn’t another store to compare it to. The location is behind Fayette Mall, in a strip mall with a few restaurants and Old Navy. I think the location is good, but I stay away the mall during Christmas season but I can imagine that parking would be an issue to find if you’re trying to get parked for any of the stores near the mall. My favorite department at Gordmans is the home goods section. The framed and canvas art is plentiful and reasonably priced. They often carry a few furniture items like stools and entry way tables. The also have flatware, pots, pans, monogrammed tumblers… everything I’ve mentioned are things that I myself have purchased. Even though the homegoods are my favorite, the largest department is clothing. They sell mens, women and children clothing. I’ve bought a few clothing items here but they didn’t stand up or last as much as I’d like. I was in the market to buy my daughter a black business blazer, they had one for $ 40 and it was thin and cheap looking, not nearly worth that price. I don’t frown on disposable clothing if it’s reasonably priced. Sign up for the text deals and they will randomly text percentage off offers at certain times.
