Just tried to order from here. Was told that I couldn’t order anything from the grill because they just cleaned it because they close at 10. It was 9:30. Shouldn’t you clean the grill at 10? Just lost my business forever.

Pays employees below minimum wage. Owner keeps all tips. Food and recipes may be fine. Security cameras monitor all employee and customer activity.

It’s a good place for a quick decent sub and the usual suspects of fries, rings and other sandwich shop stuff, but I like my pizza with a thin crust.

I want to like you more Nick’s. I’ve been trying to like you more for years. This traditional type pizza/sub shop is so convenient and close to home, but really misses the mark for me. I am honestly surprised at the amount of five star reviews from fellow Unilocalers. Am I missing something? Full disclosure — I have never tried their roast beef. Perhaps this is the key to finding happiness at Nick’s. I think their pizza is just okay, but it seems to have a lot of fans. In the pizza’s defense, it is Greek style and I am thin crust Italian all the way. All matters of food aside, it has never been a real friendly place and I always feel a little bit intimidated by some of the curt stares and lack of greetings when I walk in. Not saying everyone here is unfriendly, but they tend to hire a majority of young employees and, to put it nicely, their customer service skills are only just beginning to blossom. What I do like at Nick’s: Grilled chicken kabobs(only not so much the salad they sit on top of), cheeseburger and fries(thin and deliciously greasy beef patty accompanied by shoestring style fries), and their chicken fingers. Most of the subs I have tried I find just average at best including the chicken parm and the steak and cheese. My parents and I grabbed a quick dinner here yesterday after a long day of Christmas shopping. Cheat day was Saturday so I opted for the chicken kabob salad in attempt to be a bit more healthy. Although I’m not sure lettuce smothered by globs of feta cheese qualifies as healthy? Per usual the chicken was very good and a generous portion of it was piled on top of the salad. Underneath the chicken, however, is just a big clump of iceberg lettuce with one slice of cucumber and one cherry tomato. Oh and I cannot forget the two little black olives hiding out in there too. The feta cheese helps make the iceberg lettuce a little less boring, but yet it is still lettuce overload. My dad ordered an Italian cold cut sub, but was pretty disappointed. He said it was missing most of the meats typical to a true Italian sub and tasted more like an American. I tried some of it and agreed it was without some key italian sub components most importantly the salami. I will continue to try and like you more Nick’s and will remember to try that roast beef in the near future.

This place is where I basically spent my childhood eating. The food is freshly made to order at a reasonable price. The people working there are awesome. This is the first place I go to when I get in town for their roast beef sandwich

I just moved to CA and can’t find one sub place as good as Nicks! I really all of their items — but my favorites are the steak and cheese, roast beef — super beef is unreal!!!, chicken kabob dinners fish and gyro. I am not a pizza person but their pizza is good. Thick Greek type pizza and everyone I know likes it. It’s great you can get delivery but pick up is easy too as the parking lot has lots of spots. Service is good and consistent! Really one of the best places to get a sandwich in the area.

I waited for over two hours for delivery the other night and the best compensation they could come up with was to try to give two type 1 diabetics a two liter bottle of regular soda. This isn’t the only time this has happened, but it will be the last

2nd time at Nicks. Pizza is ok but the reason to go to Nicks is the roast beef. The Super Beef w everything was sublime!!!

I was in the area last weekend and was looking for lunch and decided to stop here. I got a few slices. The pizza was very good and was pretty cheap. The service was great as well. Nick was there and was very nice! He told me he was making a fresh pizza if I wanted to wait for my slices or I could have the last two slices sitting there. I have not had anything else to eat here, so this review is solely on the pizza slices and the service. I was pretty happy with my decision to have lunch there. If I am ever in the area again I will definitely stop in.

This is my son’s review. «That is a nasty place, but I like it». They totally screwed up our order, and they don’t care or know what to do about it. The staff seem miserable. The only reason we still go there is because they are in our neighborhood. But if we hear of someone better we are out of Nicks in a heartbeat.

I am a frequent visitor to the Spa next door(ABFAB) and on the recommendation of their front desk person I thought I would give Nick’s place a try. I ordered their Chicken Kabob Salad and a Pasta to go for my hungry son. Friendly and fast service? Check. Good value? Check. Huge selection? Check. Generous portion size? Check. Fresh and Delicious Food? Check. Check. Check! The Chicken Kabob had large pieces of succulent, juicy, and well seasoned chicken with crispy fresh salad, and my son devoured his Pasta and said it was better than home made! Which is great because cooking pasta in the hot summer weather is not my favorite thing to do, also the Pasta was on 50% off! Very happy to have finally tried this tasty and convenient(free and easy parking) local restaurant. They are open late and deliver too which is great. I’m sure my son will soon have them on speed dial!

I have seen people make food with their bare hands and then lick them. Also, the chicken wings I had from there made me sick to my stomach. They taste like they have been sitting out for days. SOGROSS!!! The only thing Id get is the breakfast sandwich

I go to Nicks for pizza take out very often. I wouldn’t choose to eat there, the seating area isn’t very clean and very outdated. Typically they are slow to answer the phone, if they even do but the pizza is decent and it’s cheap. One specific time I called and was put on hold multiple times, if the line was busy, finally got through to order my one pizza for pick up. then I got there the line was out the door. Waited for too long, got cut by two impatient customers and once I finally got my pizza, that nobody thanked me for my patience for, it was awful. Slow service, and busy nights affect their quality of service and product. So disappointed and won’t be returning anytime soon.

Looking for a great place to get lunch? I would definitely suggest to go to Nick’s Place in Lexington. They have great salads and sandwiches, and are some excellent pizza. Everyone can find something that they enjoy at Nick’s, and nobody will leave unhappy. I love Nicks!

Of all the pizza places in the Arlington/Lexington area, Nick’s is my favorite. Food is consistently good, though sometimes is a little bit on the greasy side. If I have one gripe it is that sometimes the delivery takes a long time.

While I’m not a big fan of Greek style pizza, this place has some decent subs and wraps. The chicken kabob wrap is absolutely the best around. They do catering as well.

Need wings or a greasy pizza to soothe the hangover? Well, Nick’s place is your best bet, especially if you live in the area. While the food comes in massive quantities and is pretty good by sub/pizza shop standards, I wouldn’t recommend eating inside the store. Like other reviewers, I noticed that the floor is perpetually sticky, food is not cleaned out from under the booths and in between condiment dispensers, and in the summer, the AC doesn’t work all that well so temperature is pushing 100 degrees. Oh, if you’re looking for customer service, you won’t find it here, either. The workers tend to be sullen and the cashiers rarely acknowledge your presence, even as they’re taking your order. A lot can be made better with a smile. Takeout or delivery is the way to go.

Sad to say, but this place was filthy, uninviting, SLOW service, and my food wasn’t good. The dirty floors and tables should have been a sign to turn tail. Marginally friendly staff took forever to get my food ready. I was the only person there. My hot roast beef sandwich was barely above cold. Meat was gamey. Fries were Ore-Ida, but at least they were piping hot. I will not return. You should not either. Plenty of other options down the street.

Let me start by saying that the food is pretty awesome, especially the roast beef sandwiches. With that said why does it always take so long to get your food? It’s not all the time. When the manager is there the food goes out, when he has the day off it doesn’t. One time we called in food and told us 20 minutes but when we showed up 20 minutes later they had yet to fire up the food. Great food but but a slow option for pizza places
