This is a great college pizza joint. Parking can be a pill! But the last time we were they we had the Special… but the Ethereal Wonderland was the stand out. Go for the pizza, stay for the beer!

I came here with some friends and our bartender was very friendly and quick with service. We ordered the pretzels and cheese bread to start. The cheese bread was very yummy but I don’t recommend the pretzels. They were obviously hand made, which is nice, but they weren’t big, fluffy salted pretzels that I’m used to. Instead they were more like pizza crust dough rolled into a pretzel shape. We got a medium Pazzo’s special and so did our friends that joined us. Their pizza sizes are larger than normal so keep that in mind when ordering. Their medium is the same size, if not bigger, than a large from any chain place. We loved that ! Overall it was a great experience and I plan on returning next time I get a pizza craving.

My wife and I met some family at Pazzo’s for a late lunch after a long day at the hospital visiting family. We were hungry and needed some comfort food. When we walked in, no one was there to meet us. We weren’t sure whether to seat ourselves or wait for a host/server. While I ran off to the restroom(strangely located down stairs), they figured it out and found us a booth. Pazzo’s has a pretty standard menu for a pizza joint. There claim to fame is the most beer on tap in town. After spending a few minutes scanning the menu I went with the Funky Chicken Calzone and my wife ordered the small meatball sub. The sub was pretty big for a small. The calzone was also a fair size. It was pretty tasty, although a significant portion of the ends didn’t have any filling — not even any cheese. Service was pretty standard. Not bad, but nothing to rave about either. Overall it was ok and if we’re ever in that part of town and craving pizza, we’ll probably pop back in.

Love this place. Good pizza, great beer, and excellent service. I really like the different levels of this place, and be forewarned — on weekends when it’s busy, you might not find a parking spot! They have lots of different choices on pizza and appetizers. Everything seems to be made to order, so it is always hot and fresh. It is a college hangout, so there are lots of younger twenty-somethings in here. We like it though, and will be back again.

This is a great local college pizza joint. The atmosphere is good and the food is too. They have a good selection of beers. Unless you get there early, parking is a real pain in the butt. I guess that is because most people are walking from campus and not driving. Plan to drive around a while or walk a distance if you want to eat there.

I’ve been to Pazzo’s many times, but the service lately seems to be slipping. On our last visit, I took a family member from out of town on a lovely evening. We sat down outside and waited ~5 minutes to receive menus. The waitress finally came by and slapped down some menus without saying anything and walked away. We left due to the rude and untimely service :(Not sure we will return.

Decent food, great beer list, but some of the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced… And I’ve lived in Boston. I assume that the employees are really poorly compensated and treated. We’ve moved our organizational happy hour from this beloved patio because of this service. I return from time to time… with sad, similar results.

The pizza is good. I do love their veggie options. The service ranges from good to great – usually pretty patient, I’m typically there with a large group. Sometimes, meal times have been extremely slow – especially for a lunch period. The beer list is amazing. It’s a good place to hang out around campus.

Been here many times… Good crowds, very casual, great pizza, and beer prices are very reasonable!

This is a fun pizza joint with an outstanding beer selection. For food, stick with the basics here: pizzas feature a chewy crust that’s a bit doughy, with nice choices of fresh toppings. Pretzels are also pretty good: crunchy/chewy pizza dough slathered in butter and parm, served with a marinara sauce. Beer list includes a wide range of US microbrews, some interesting imported stuff, and your usual mass-produced brews if that’s what you prefer. Service is friendly but maybe a little busy.

IF Pazzo’s were only a pizza joint, they’d get 2 stars. They get an extra one for one thing: Pint Night! The pizza just isn’t good. Stiff, hard to eat crust, toppings that aren’t the freshest. Plus, it takes up to an hour to get a pizza. I know this because I used to torture myself with their pizza when we’d go for Pint Night. That said, Pint Night kicks ass. I’d not trade another drinking event I’ve ever been to for Pint Night, where you get rad beer glasses just for ordering a pitcher of a different, wonderful craft beer every single week. In fact, when I first moved out of my parents’ house, I had enough Pint Night glasses to fill my cabinet. A few broke, but they’re still responsible for furnishing a good chunk of my glassware. So keep doing Pint Night, Pazzo’s. Your pizza underwhelms but your beer is fan-freaking-tastic.

Seating and service was fast. Sari ordered a Pesto pizza, I ordered the Funky Chicken calzone. The drinks came quickly, food took about 25 minutes from placing the order. Sari’s pizza was hot, fresh from the oven. My calzone, though was cold. Not good. Sari enjoyed her pizza, my calzone was just OK. The crust had a nice yeasty taste and was crispy on the outside, but the inside was doughy and seemed to be under baked. That could have been caused though by the calzone sitting around while Sari’s pizza was baking. Prices are good, service(Morgan was our server) was great, food was mixed: 1 yay, 1 nay.

This is just a very fun and fulfilling college pub. Is it fine dining? No but the pretzels are huge, soft, coated in butter and parmesan, and come apart like play-doh. Somehow(I know how: it’s the butter and parmesan and luscious dough) it makes for a good meal of it’s own. And that’s if you order the small sample. The calzone is like the upgrade. Made with the same dough and coating, it’s an appetite testing treat. They pack it with globs of cheese and meat. I had the funky chicken and it’s big enough for two. But I had no regrets about finishing it on my own. What really makes this place stand out, though, is the beer selection. It refuses to settle for the college bastions of Miller and Coors. There’s nearly 50 different craft and international beers on tap, I think. I went local, with two Kentucky choices, but there’s a choice from coast to coast and hearty sampling of Belgians too. If that’s not what sells all those basketball players in recruiting, I don’t what does.

Where to start? We wanted to enjoy a UK basketball game, but it was busy so we went to their outdoor patio. Let’s hit on the lowlights: they only had appetizers available at the bar, because apparently the outdoor patio isn’t a part of the restaurant? Stupid. They had one bartender trying to fix drinks for 80+ people outside. I blame that on the owner, or whoever made the schedule. The food was good, but it took forever for is to actually be able to order. And when the food arrived(meatballs and cheese bread), we were told that there was no silverware. I had to actually go inside to get some, which took an extra 15 minutes. The service is poor. The drinks are poor. The food is okay. I wish I would have never made a trip here.

First off, this place is huge. Was not expecting that at all. I guess I didn’t realize that it stretched behind several buildings there on S. Limestone. Décor is all shiny dark-stained wood. Very professional looking bar in appearance with several rooms to walk through and too many beers on tap to count. My friend recommended that we try a Meatball Sub and a Funky Chicken Calzone. I also had seen good reviews of the Pretzel appetizer on Unilocal as well, so I decided to give it a shot. For $ 3, why the heck not. First off, the pretzels are HUGE. Loaded with butter and parmesan, and a nice real-bread taste(as in, possibly from a starter?). Not really hard and crusty like you would expect, more like a misshapen bread stick. The pretzels are definitely worth your time. The Meatball Sub was pretty good. I enjoyed that the part of the loaf cut out to make room for the meatballs was on the side and turned into a kind of bread stick. The meatballs themselves were average size, but they were tasty. They didn’t have that store-bought flavor, so you can tell someone actually made them by hand. The cheese was layered on THICK. So thick that when I ate the other half the next day for lunch, I temporarily mistook it for a piece of meat. A little pricey for $ 9, but definitely tasty. My wife got the Funky Chicken Calzone, and boy was I jealous. It was about the same cost as my meal, but it was ENORMOUS. And the bread tasted a lot like the same bread they used for the pretzels. The innards consisted of shredded chicken and the most delicious garlic-alfredo sauce I have tasted in my life. She ended up eating leftovers of this at work for the next two days. Not that eating those giant pretzels hurt on that respect either. Most of the folks around us were getting pizza by the slice, which looked pretty good. We just wanted to try the fancy stuff. Wait staff here can be a little slow getting things started, but once they arrived they were very attentive and efficient. One even changed the channel per a customer request. I was quite pleased, as it resulted in watching a hockey game instead of ESPN highlights. Overall, very delightful. This place will definitely have to go into my rotation.

Okay so this is def a college bar/pizza joint which is cool but have low expectations for atmosphere. The wings were disgusting!!! Do not even bother… they are baked which is fantastic but they are straight out of a frozen bag and when you get them, the skin is just mushy fat!!! My husband loves wings and he couldn’t eat them. On the other hand the pizza is fantastic! Hubby had the meatball and I had the pazzo’s calzone(tomatoes, spinach and mushrooms). Yum Yum Yum!!! Marinara that came with the calzone was awesome too! Skip the app’s and dig into the pizza! Salads looked yummy, I peeked at a table next to us, looked fresh and delish!

My coworkers told me this was the best pizza place in town. I was excited to try a new restaurant and my friends and I all ordered the lunch special– a jumbo slice of pizza and soup. My chili was ok. Nothing to write home about but not terrible either. We waited for longer than usual for our pizza slices and when they finally arrived I was so disappointed. The crust was almost see through thin, incredibly greasy and not good at all! It was so thin I could not pick it up to eat. The only reason I ate it was because I was so hungry not because it was particularly edible. On top of it all, they added generous amounts of Parmesan cheese all over my pizza which I do not like. I tried scraping off the Parmesan cheese and soaking up the grease the entire time. Terrible pizza + slow service means I won’t come back here again.

Always very packed. The pizza is good for KY– and they have a lot of different choices. Awesome place to watch the game. Just a rowdy place overall, which isn’t surprising because it’s on campus. If you watch any of the Sweet 16 games there, get there EARLY otherwise you can’t get in.

The pizza is just ok, but if you’re going to Pazzo’s you’re going for one of two reasons… or maybe both:) 1. Watch the Cats 2. Awesome beer selection Pint Night is always fun, but get there early or plan on standing!

This is a great pizza joint-especially if you are a poor college student. Obviously Pazzo’s caters to that crowd too, due to their location. The décor reflects this as well. On Saturday my friends and I were seated on the front patio. Our server didn’t know that we were seated out there, because after 10 minutes I had to go track down the hostess to let her know that we hadn’t seen our server yet. We were having a good time chatting, so it wasn’t a big deal! She provided great service for the rest of the evening. However, the huge fan blowing on us during a somewhat chilly early evening was a nuisance! The pizza was hot, cheesy, yummy, and cheap! The four of us split a large one topping pizza and the total came out to $ 4.21 each.
