I was not sure about staying at this hotel because of past reviews but let me assure you, this is a wonderful hotel. Our rooms were clean and the beds were freshly laundered and clean. No sign of bedbugs ANYWHERE in our room and my friend is a professional exterminator so I know what to look for. We asked recommendations at the front desk for food in the area and the staff was so nice and very helpful! They also have excellent taste in food! We needed a lot of towels, as we were a room full of girls, I walked down and asked for 8 towels, no problem at all! In the morning? Best. Breakfast. Ever. Biscuits, gravy, sausages, eggs, oatmeal, cereal, pastries, doughnuts, juice, and coffee. Delicious, and it’s all included in your stay! I couldn’t believe it! The breakfast area where you sit down & eat almost has a restaurant feel to it and has a wonderful atmosphere. My friends and I were very impressed. This hotel has a wonderful indoor pool too! I wholeheartedly recommend staying here. Conveniently located by many restaurants, attractions, like the Kentucky Horse Park, and gas stations! The hotel has many horse/derby themes and pictures, it really adds to the Kentucky experience. We loved it. We WILL be staying here again.

Older hotel, you can tell there are some masked smells. Overall clean rooms and comfortable beds. Terrible wifi though!

I stayed here overnight while visiting the Kentucky Sheep & Fiber Festival nearby; I wish I’d stayed a night or two more to be able to enjoy it! The staff at check-in were friendly(and very funny!) and efficient, and were nice enough to explain beforehand that some of the doors can be difficult to open(mine was one of them). The room was spacious, and the bed was wonderful! Five whole pillows, fresh, clean white sheets, and very soft and comfortable. Breakfast is included in your stay, and includes hot food rather than the cold, lifeless pastries commonly passed off as breakfast at many places. The eggs weren’t to my taste(the texture was a little off), but I’m always happy to see eggs offered; they also had sausage, biscuits, and gravy, as well as yogurt, things to toast, and cereal. I’ll definitely stay here for the festival again next year.

If I could give a 0 star I would. We checked in at 830pm and actually checker out a 1030pm. The whole floor smelt horrible, the room was dirty, the sheets were dirty, bugs everywhere(although the manager had explained the next day that they had just sprayed the grass with bug killer so all the bugs had came inside and that just the first floor had this issue) it was just horrible. Even going to the front desk asking for a refund, because I was checking out– Mike just gave me this smirk and said it’s to late to check out we stood in the room to long, and if he knew about the bug problem he should of offered another room but he was just content on not helping us out. I asked for a receipt and he said no & wouldn’t give me a copy of the paper I signed. Josh the over night guy was very nice & the manager Robert was very helpful(the next day) If you’re looking for a cheap stay and you don’t mind the smell or the bugs –then this is the perfect spot. FYI — Expedia had the same room 15 dollars cheaper then I was quoted by Mike, just to help save a few extra bucks if you’re road tripping.
