Wild Eggs has a great waffle, but I wasn’t completely crazy about the Egg omelette that I ordered with my meal. I admit, I’m not a morning person, and not completely crazy about breakfast foods, I still enjoy it from time to time. My wife & I took our newborn daughter here back in December, the place was packed. The décor was a little strange, as I understand they were trying to go for a 60’s vibe, eggs in glass looks cool I guess. The food was well cooked, well prepared & decorative, but the taste was a little dull for what I was expecting, especially for the price. The reason for the 4 stars is because the waffles were really good, like perfect!

The cinnamon bun, the breakfast potatoes, the everything muffin, the orange juice, the grits of the day, the Mr. Potato Head casserole, the chicken crepes, the border benedict… awesome food.

This is my second time eating here and this is one of my favorite brunch places when I’m in town. The first time I had the blueberry pancakes, today I had the chicken crepes and boy was it delicious. Along with that I had a mimosa which was to die for and our server(forgot her name), but today was her first day on the job and you couldn’t tell a difference. Very professional! Thanks for making my experience better and better! Till we meet again.

Went to another location years ago and I’m not sure how or why I haven’t eaten there since. My boyfriend had the hot chicken and waffles(of course I had to steal a bite… delish) and I had the trippin’ chicken crêpe which I totally recommend ordering bacon on top of. It’s heaven in your mouth. Service is great. Will definitely be going back.

The eggs and crepes we ordered were delicious! It is an american-mexican influenced comfort food. The service was prompt and friendly. Nice family atmosphere perfect for a breakfast/brunch with close friends and family. I would come back! The coffee needs improvement but that seems to be the case in all the places in Lexington.

Amazing breakfast. There is definitely a reason why this place comes up as one of the top 10 breakfast places in Lexington. Their fried chicken and waffles are awesome and make sure you ask for an extra side of the buttermilk syrup. SOGOOD!!!

5 star breakfast. Everything was delicious and tasted fresh. The blueberry muffin was to die for and you must try the fresh sqeezed orange juice. Our server, nikki was exceptional as well. Definitely a go to for a good, hearty, healthy brunch when you’re in lexington.

Wild eggs is one of my favorite breakfast/brunch spots! I’ve really liked everything I’ve ordered. Even though you’d expect them to have great egg dishes(which they do), their pancakes, waffles, and other options are pretty freakin good too. It’s typical to wait about 20 minutes for a seat on the weekend, but I think it’s worth the wait! p. s. I got a side of fruit and it was a mix of melons, pineapples, strawberries, oranges and grapes. They even got a little crazy and threw in some kiwi! I love when a side of fruit isn’t just melons! Good lookin out, Wild Eggs.

Another divine experience. Visited again and had even more wonderful things. There was a Benedict special that had fried pork tenderloin and Dijon Hollandaise, served on a biscuit. It was excellent. We also had the Kalamity Benedict, with chorizo on corn cakes. It was delicious. Service was wonderful; I love that carafe of coffee on the table. But the best part was the cinnamon roll. We chuckled and said«for $ 6.99, it better be the best cinnamon roll in the world.» It absolutely was. Served in a cast iron skillet and smothered with a vanilla bean cream cheese frosting, each bite was amazing. This is absolutely enough for four people to share some bites; it was huge. We love this place. Thanks for another great experience.(:

As a former big-breakfast freak who has gradually lost interest in the subject, and as one who generally thinks brunch is a scam, I’m probably not the best person to evaluate Wild Eggs. But based on one experience, I’d say it’s got to be about the best chain option in the region for either. To judge by its website, the Louisville-based Wild Eggs is exploding across the Ohio River Valley region.(Alas, not to our town of Cincinnati, the City That Interesting Breakfast Places Apparently Forgot.) And with good reason: It’s got more interesting breakfast ideas than just about any breakfast/brunch place you’ll see(a dozen(!) different egg dishes alone, including several Mexican/Latino dishes that I’m a sucker for at breakfast), and it executes them well indeed. Four of us visited this location in an antiseptic looking shopping center on the outskirts of Lexington to tank up for a Saturday on the Bourbon Trail, and all came away very satisfied. I’m a fan of the various versions of huevos rancheros, and Wild Eggs’ was a great one: Instead of a pallid red salsa you get in too many places, this one was topped with a rich, thick, delicious pork chile verde that had obviously been fussed over, and came with a fresh pico de gallo. Eggs were a perfect over easy.(The sides of black beans and home fries could have used a little more pop, but they weren’t bad.) Wild Eggs’ coffee was easily better than the average. Décor is sunny and spartan, and the restaurant seemed to be as clean as a whistle. Service was efficient and pleasant on this morning. Message to Mr. JD Rothberg, Wild Eggs’ founder and president: PLEASE think about opening a Cincinnati location.

Positives: Ok I’m not a breakfasty person(*gasp*) but this place has made me a believer! We go to WE every Friday after our personal training session(who only wants to burn calories? I enjoy replacing them much more). I’m working my way down the menu but my husband loves their nachos. I’ve had pretty much every Tex-Mex thing on the menu and OMG so delicious. One item gets a shot on the side of some habenero lime stuff, it is to die for. We ask for it on the side with everything now. Negatives: I always have to ask for my potatoes to be done crispy bc otherwise they come out pretty soggy. Vibe: Breakfast meets heaven. Just don’t try to go on the weekend if your starving, the wait will be insane BUT well worth it!

My first brunch in Lexington! Woot! After much research, my friends and I decided to pay Wild Eggs a visit for Saturday brunch. At 10 am there was already a long line. I was expecting a long wait but surprisingly my party of 6 was seated within 20 minutes. The complimentary coffee on the front was a thoughtful treat. The restaurant is very clean, brightly lit with large windows and spacious. The theme of wild eggs is displayed throughout the restaurant with interesting drawings of eggs and a wall of eggs upon entrance. The color scheme of the restaurant had a warm tone that was especially welcoming. Eggs Benedict is my go-to brunch food. I was feeling a little bold and went with the Crabby Patty Benedict. It had lump crab meat instead of Canadian bacon. I should’ve asked my eggs cooked easy, as they weren’t as poached as I liked. I normally love crabs but the crabby patty had a weird seafood taste to it that wasn’t particularly to my liking. I ended up picking out the patty and eating everything else. This could just due to my personal preference though, since my friends who ordered the same dish both loved it. So try it for yourself if you’re curious! The eggs Benedict came with skillet fries and an everything muffin. The fries were delicious. Everything muffin is exactly what you would expect an everything bagel to be but in muffin form. Serving size was more than generous. I was too full to finish everything on my plate. My pleasant experience here was partly attributed to the spectacular service. Our waitress was very attentive. She was patient with taking our orders, checked on us frequently during our meals, and happily split our checks without us even asking! Overall Wild Eggs is a solid casual brunch joint, great for families or with a group of friends. I’ll probably opt for banana foster waffle or French toast on my next visit.

Our first breakfast in KY was spent with the staff and patrons at the Wild Egg– surprisingly, hubby’s choice. I was pumped to be going somewhere local and not another chain restaurant, so I was all in. This place is small, but really cute– the decorations are simple and appropriate, and the seating it laid out really well, with plenty of space, and the option of tables, booths, or benches. Floor to ceiling windows make it nice and bright, giving it a really morning — friendly feel. Our service and food were both good, but the part that was most memorable was our ridiculous cinnamon roll. when our server asked us if we wanted to start with one, I knew it must be something to get excited about, and it certainly was. When it came, it was in a cast iron skillet, and it was smothered in a warm cream cheese topping. It was so amazing, I’d go back again just for that! My meal was good, too, but truthfully, nothing compared to that life changing cinnamon roll I started with!

How can you run out of orange juice on a Sunday? Is that not a staple for this niche? Losing money by not having what people want. Already out of prime items and staff of college girls could care less. It’s not that they are out of oranges. They don’t want to squeeze any! Geez thanks. What a joke. I’m here for brunch and spending good money for an experience. It’s not too much to ask to expect a plentiful supply of a main breakfast item is it?

The bananas foster French toast is to die for. This was my first time dining experience at a Wild Eggs restaurant and it was fantastic. I was here with my moms grou of for a moms morning out brunch and everything thing that was ordered looked amazing. Our server Taylor was very accommodating to our large group and had a great sense of humor. He kept the mimosas and bloody Mary’s flowing. I cannot wait to bring my husband & son here.

The Good: the food, pepper sauce, customer service, environment, cleanliness. The Bad: they don’t bottle the pepper sauce. The Rundown: you walk into a very busy restaurant where the staff is friendly and the diner looks clean and organized. The pictures on the wall all have something to do with eggs, but are elegant and kinda funny. Their food selection is amazing, they have all different styles of breakfast and I have yet to find something I don’t like. I must talk about the pepper sauce. It comes with their southwest style beans and taco thingy. This lemon, lime, habanero juice is amazing, I straight drink it from the shot glass. I want to line up 3 or 4 and have them there to drink with my meal, for real, it is that good. Service is fast and friendly. The Impression: there really isn’t much that I can say other than this place has wonderful food and a quick service place that just seems healthier than a waffle house. Please, bottle that juice though.

My wife and I joined a friend for breakfast here a couple Saturday’s back. Boy, are we glad we did. Food was fresh & enjoyable and service was great. I think I was most surprised by the ability to order potato latkes… and wow! I would have never imagined that you could find latkes, much less delicious latkes in Lexington! They aren’t as good as my granny’s, but they were amazing! The place was packed, but we got a seat in a relatively quick manner. Service was prompt and friendly. When the cook slightly messed up my order, our server made it right and smiled. Coffee was fresh, tasty and always filled up. We will be back!

I was a big fan of this place on my first visit. I ordered eggs Benedict(a fancy kind, I can’t remember the menu name for it) with a mexican twist. It was soooo good. My friend who I met there for lunch had the mushroom burger. She let me have a bite of it and I decided this is what I would order next time. It was so creamy and just melted in your mouth. I would compare this place to First Watch, but a step up. A big step up. They are only open for breakfast and lunch, and serve mostly breakfast foods with a few lunch type options. It is a little bit pricy for breakfast food, around the $ 10 – 13 range but it is worth a try. Everything was presented very nicely. And we had an excellent waitress. I didn’t get her name, but the receipt said April. If that was correct, April was very nice and helpful. She offered menu suggestions and helped us order and was just very friendly.

I ordered the egg salad sandwich with was on toasted bread. It was actually really good. It came with fries and my husband who ordered a breakfast entrée was jealous b/c the breakfast potatoes that were not as cooked as he would have liked. In the not so distant padt, I have also ordered the Maria ’ s City chilliquetas(I don’t think that’s how it’s spelled) which is a tasty Tex-mex style casserole served with a(non alcoholic) shot of lime & pepper juice which really could use some tequlia. My biggest concerns is the service issue I’ve had and the amount of dishes that have churizo in it. And try not to bring large groups. It seems to confuse the hostesses.
