This little joint is so cute! It’s small, so get there early on weekends, but I think it’ll be worth it. I personally got the waffle which honestly wasnt very good. They tasted like a weird mix of friend dough and Angel food cake. I tried some of my family’s food, though and it was delicious! I think they might just be better at the savory foods. The other stuff was tasty enough that I can ignore the iffy waffle. The service was quick and nice! They have so many exciting coffee options to try, too. I’d definitely like to come back and try some other food and drink options.

Adorable little restaurant with a solid breakfast/brunch menu. Took my parents when they were in town and they loved the fancy coffees and delicious French toast. They recently opened for dinner as well and serve up some gigantic and yummy salads which is hard to find in Lexington. Be prepared to wait on Saturdays unless you come early, it’s a popular spot with minimal seating. Now that the weather is warmer I’m excited to try out the patio. Will be regulars for sure.

My wife have been going here every since we moved to the Lexington area 2 years ago and we try to go every weekend that is available(in actually we only can make it on average once a month). The building itself is a picturesque old stone cottage and there is an outside eating area as well as a deck for when you are waiting on a table where they make sure to always have coffee available(the inside is not the largest, so if you do not come early you might have a wait). The staff is great and always cheerful. The coffee is really good and they do a great job of trying to make sure that your cup is never empty. I get the same thing every time that i go, not for a lack of other tempting offerings, but because the Breakfast Burrito. The first time I went it stood out to me, because of it actually having refried beans in it, which seemed different enough to be good. It has scrambled eggs, vegetarian refried beans, melted cheddar cheese, salsa and fresh cilantro rolled in a flour tortilla and all together it makes for my favorite breakfast. You also have a choice of a side to go with it, but do yourself a favor and get the cheese grits which are wonderfully cheese and my favorite grits in the area. My wife typically rotates between the spinach and cheese omelet and blueberry pancakes, and likes to start our meal with a bourbon bun which is fresh, soft, and has the perfect hint of bourbon. We highly recommend stopping here for some great food.(We went for lunch one time, and both of our sandwiches were phenomenal. My wife had the ruffian which consisted of very fresh ingredients, and my Seattle slew reuben was wonderful and a great surprise.)

Hard to believe that I haven’t reviewed Coffee Pub yet! I really like this place. Always fresh, tasty food with amazing service. Our church staff eat here often. The coffee is very nice, the lunch menu has enough choices to keep things interesting without going overboard and their breakfast items are super tasty. The ambience is very relaxing and feels«home-y» to me. Probably because the staff is always welcoming and very friendly. Their always smiling and making sure your coffee mug is full. If you’re looking for a new [local] breakfast/brunch place in Lexington. We love supporting good, local business and this is one to add to your list.

Charming little restaurant– offering genuine southern hospitality and one of the best breakfast experiences in town. Their cheese grits are sublime — as are their coffee drinks(the«Almond Joy» is my favorite!) I usually order the spinach & mushroom omelet but everything we’ve tried has been delicious. And the folks who work here are as warm & friendly as you’ll find,

Went here to brunch with my wife. We got there right at 11 so they had just switched to the lunch menu. I was going there hoping for breakfast but was pleasantly surprised by the BLTT. Definitely recommend the BLTT! That’s actually what my wife ordered while I had the two eggs, bacon, sourdough toast, and cheese grits. My order was good but nothing special. The coffee was a unique blend from Lexington tea and coffee, which I had about 3 cups of. Atmosphere was quaint and laden with equestrian decorations. Dinning area was small and they were very busy, but service was efficient and friendly. Great recommend overall, though I want to actually go back for breakfast menu.

My husband took me here for brunch recently. I got the Belgian Waffles, and he got an omelet plate with cheese grits. I’m always disappointed in Belgian Waffles here in the States. The ones I’ve had in Korea have almost a caramelized outside that’s crunchy and a fluffy inside. But these were alright! Let’s talk about their grits. The best grits I’ve ever tried! So creamy and smooth! So flavorful! Whenever you visit, get them, please. Even if you don’t like grits! I like this place. It’s one of the closer brunch places to where we live, and that’s fine with me! It’s quaint, has good food, and friendly service!

Quaint. I hate that word, I think it’s criminally overused in reviews of breakfast places but it perfectly describes Coffee Pub. Coffee Pub is a tiny little restaurant that serves up a pretty damn delicious breakfast menu. We stopped by at the end of Thanksgiving weekend with the whole family as sort of a last hurrah before everyone hit the road. Despite calling ahead we ended up waiting outside in the cold for at least 40 minutes. I ordered the Giacomo(corned beef with potatoes and 3 sunny side eggs) and a cup of coffee. The coffee was about as mediocre as it gets(lifeless and lacking any real depth) and lukewarm on top of that. Some of our group ordered the more fancy coffee drinks to much better results. The food however was top notch. Simple, fresh and filling but not I-want-to-die heavy. My eggs were cooked perfectly and the corned beef was beautifully smoky with just a hint of spice to it. Unfortunately it took forever for the food to come out and the service was kind of stand offish(I don’t know maybe we were just too big of a group.) Ideally Coffee Pub would get 3.5 stars(please get half stars Unilocal), the food was good but the service was not. I would try this place again on maybe a less busy weekend and see how it goes, so overall a positive experience.

We tried the coffee pub for lunch the other day and were disappointed how long it took to get our meals. The restaurant only had 4 tables to serve. I ordered The prime rib sandwich and it was dry and had no flavor or season. My mom had the asparagus frittata which was pretty good. The best part of our experience was our server Jill. She was very friendly and constantly checked on us despite the food delay in the kitchen.

OMG… Awesome! Rated this place for exactly what it is… A perfect coffee and lunch place! The chicken salad sandwich was perfect derby style chicken salad! I asked about the cheese grits and my server gave me a sample! Definitely on my must get list! Excellent service!

Just OK breakfast food. Need more seasoning added to the potatoes and food in general. Wasn’t horrible but wasn’t great either. Good if you don’t feel like cooking in the morning.

1st timer. I would give 4.5 stars if I could. It was too quaint to be 4 stars but the food was not exactly 5 stars. I ordered breakfast burrito and it was good(not great) the omelet looked really good and so did the special. The scrambled eggs did not look like real eggs, pancakes were perfect(but plain), fruit was fresh. I would definitely go back. Pros: location seems secluded(intimate), décor was very quaint, food was good, clean bathrooms, breakfast for lunch, fresh fruit, really nice service Cons: not much to the menu, limited seating, I think eggs were from a carton(not confirmed)

This place is so cute and adorable. They serve breakfast and lunch. The good: seriously, this place is charming. The coffee was really good. The ok: the food was standard American fare. Nothing exciting. When I say nothing exciting I mean nothing. I ordered the chicken breakfast tacos with pub fries. The bad: when I asked what pub fries were, they told me fried potatoes with no seasoning. No seasoning, no salt. No nothing. It seems that most of the food lacked seasoning.

This is a quaint little coffee shop with so much more. The food is amazing wether for breakfast or lunch. They have special on there Lattes. Love them! Staff is southern friendly. Which is all good! I just landed and this is the first place we came back to. I have to add that they added dinner to there day. The menu looks interesting. The prices are really reasonable. Shrimp and grits for the app looks tempting. I’m still a breakfast fan but open to trying the dinner menu soon. I love the small quaint size of this place. It’s very inviting and a warm atmosphere. It’s around the corner from my daughters so it tends to be our go to breakfast place before I head back to RI. I’m here every few months and I’ve never been disappointed. If your in the area I recommend giving it a try.

Came here on a Sunday morning, a little after 10am. We were seated in about 5minutes and placed our order just a few minutes after that. Got our drinks within 2min of ordering. Our food arrived 14 minutes later. The food is excellent. here’s what you need to know. Inside, this place only seats 44 people(assuming all tables are full, i counted seats). If you come here on a weekend morning, it’s busy and you’ll have to wait. in my experience, the earlier you arrive, the better. Sundays get busy a little later because i think people are at church. So that’s a good time to come, if you’re heathens like us. Otherwise, you’ll probably have to wait but they do offer coffee on the porch while you wait. My favorite is the Breakfast Burrito. The OJ is fresh-squeezed and I love they offer flavored creamers for your coffee.

I consider this place a hidden gem in Lexington. It’s a quaint little restaurant that’s tucked away off Harrodsburg Rd. that has consistently great food and great service. I have only been eating here for years but always on the weekends and Saturdays and Sundays they serve only breakfast(open til 2pm). I love the Chicken Soft Tacos with a side of cheese grits. Their grits are super creamy and delicious!
