Yama To Go Japanese Grill

I work in this area and our lunch destination is ALWAYS Yama To Go! Period. They have a simple and straight forward menu, which is nice. It’s rice, a protein and some grilled veggies and it’s amazing.
I highly recommend at least two creamy garlic sauces with any dish you choose. The owner is very outgoing and does an excellent job of making you feel at home.

Imagine cheap mall Japanese food, but good.
I’ve eaten here twice and enjoyed it both times. The first time I had the chicken with Japanese noodles and teriyaki sauce, and the second time I had the same but with their orange ocean sauce; I preferred the teriyaki. The meat is impressive here because usually with fast food Asian, the meat is slimy and too soft. Here, the chicken was firm and tasted like it might if I had bought chicken breast at the grocery and cooked it myself. They cook the food in front of you behind a big glass wall next to the register. The noodles have a kind of fattening comfort-​food tastiness to them, and the meal comes with some steamed vegetables, including carrots, broccoli, and cabbage.
I’ve not stayed in the restaurant to eat before, but I would enjoy doing so. The atmosphere has a kind of modern, campus-​hangout flair to it, with Japanese style. Prices are reasonable; I think I paid $ 7 – 8. They give you a good amount of food; I end up with a bit left over after I’m full.
