Valvoline Instant Oil Change

Rude. The employees were just rude. I was told by the DMV that I needed an ID/​OD to get my tags renewed. I then asked for one. The jerk being asked to give one asked for the year of my car, then replied in a snotty tone «yea it’s not an ID/​OD.» I told him the DMV asked me to get one. He said «maybe they forgot.» Later, the most unfriendly female employee in the world was getting info from me and I told her that I was worried that I won’t be getting what I need for the DMV. She rudely explained that she isn’t certified to answer any questions about it. The jerk from before came in and rudely restated that it isn’t an ID/​OD. No further explanation. I told him I was concerned and asked if I would have what I need. He said shortly said «yes» and walked out. I was continued to be dealt with coldly and rudely and regarded like I was a bitch and a moron with their looks and curt responses to me. I said thank you and was met with a turned back. I will be going to Jiffy Lube from now on. I’d rather sit in line for an hour than be treated that way by anyone.

I actually bought a Groupon for this business and brought in my NEW truck for an oil change. Once I got there the gentlemen came to talk with me about my options. He at once started to try and up-​sell me, saying my truck was due for service on its 4 wheel drive. DUDE my truck had less then 4,000 miles on it. I just looked at him, thinking to myself just what truck are you looking at. Then he said tires needed rotated. I knew they didn’t, but I’m also not against rotating them at oil change time. Now I get your job sell, sell, sell. BUT don’t try and sell me things, I know my truck does not need. Save that for someone else.
The only reason I’m giving any stars was from something I saw while I was there. A guy came in for a vehicle inspection and told a different gentlemen, then I was dealing with about the vehicle and the issues it had. The worker told the guy it won’t pass and what he should do, to endure it would. So the guy basically try’s and get the worker to take his money and just pass the car anyway, but the worker wouldn’t do it.

Time to get the Mustang oil change done. I think I would be a lot quicker back in if it was really instant. Probably be about 30 minutes on a Saturday lunch time. The other thing I don’t like is the sales tactic of billing out early and trying to upsell. I know most of these shops are the same. I feel they could do better.
