Warm friendly staff. Great and timely service even with a large order. Plenty of variety on the menu to satisfy our large and varied group. I had the ½# burger and loved the way it was cooked– very filling. Hubby had the feta burger and thought it was good and juicy he just wished there were more condiments placed on it. Both of us thought the only down side was the soggy fries. The kids loved the black cow and give thumbs up to the hot dogs

I’ve been to this restaurant several times. They have great fresh-cut french fries. Yesterday, I went in and ordered a hero’s plate and a large vanilla milkshake. I thought it was pretty to be charged for extra tizzy key sauce for a plate that has supposedly almost double the meat of a regular euro sandwich but gives the same amount of sauce. I was more peeved when I ordered a large milkshake and the guy handed me a regular size. I mentioned this to him, he took out a large cup, poured the medium shake into the large cup and added be approximately 2 tablespoons left in the blender to the cup. The shake was a couple inches shy of being full. Aside from the fact that the milkshake was not very good and did not contain enough milk to properly blend it, I seriously felt ripped off.

In the beginning I loved this place and could not get enough of it. The steak fries are worth the up charge. The gyro is very good and never was too greasy until now. I am strange and like my Itailain Beef dry and use to get upset when I place a order to go and it be wet. I thought maybe it was just cause I was ordering it to go. I dined in and it was just as wet so I guess dry is not possible here. They do give you a punch card so you get a free gyro after so many.

We hadn’t been to Fodrak’s in over a year, but it used to be great and we loved eating there. Not so much this time. My burger was dry and my chocolate malt was the consistency of chocolate milk. And I even had to wait on the malt because they forgot to make it. The potatoes were different this time too, they definitely had a dill taste to them that was overpowering. I’m in no hurry to go back. The service wasn’t good, no one smiles, and it seems like its very robotic.

Not bad, plenty of meat in my gyros, sauce is on the side even without asking which is very nice. Lots of onions and, meat was just a bit drier than I am used to, but very flavorful. Need to try that Grecian chicken next. Service was fine.

I used to come here all the time when I was in high school. Now 10 years later this place just went down hill. Rude customer service and the food was poorly made. Gyro used to taste great here. Now it’s old dried out meat and good luck getting the works on it. I’ve had better at other restaurants with more then few tomatoes and onions on my Gyro. I only come here once every few months and they are never consistent with the Gyro as most of the time its poorly made and once a year I may get a good one but still can’t remember the last time it was good. Also work on customer service seems like your whole staff either can’t speak our language or just don’t care about service is what it seems like. I will not be coming back ever again just a note for the owner.

They have a wonderful menu of different choices as well as voted best gyros for the past few years! My son and I get the two hotdog meal upgrade fries to large and a shake to share all for just ten bucks! Very affordable and like I said great food!

The Gyro is going to blast your taste buds. Had a great meal the first time after reading the reviews. But yesterday when I called for a grilled chicken breast on pita, it was horrible(had to dump ¾th in the trash) guess they forgot to either marinate it or add any salt and spice. It was bland to the core. But will definitely not hesitate from having another lamb gyro there!

Gyros are great, I liked their fries and onion rings were delicious. Didn’t care for the skirt steak sandwich, but definitely be back for another gyro meal

I’ve been driving past this place for the past five years now and always wondered what it was like. After reading Unilocal, there seemed to be mixed reviews, but I needed to settle once and for all that nagging question I had every time I passed. So on a Saturday afternoon, with timing being just right I stopped in here for lunch. The place is clean, plenty of seating space and a good set of menu options. I went with the Gyro as I’m always looking for places that serve up a good Gyro. When the Gyro came out, my first impression was mixed, as it had plenty of meat on it, but the sauce was on the side which is not too big of a deal, and it didn’t have much of the customary onion and tomato toppings. I personally found the meat a bit dry and the flat bread was tough. Although I’ve had a lot worse, I have had better and they certainly don’t come close to beating out Anastasia’s Gyro which is what I use as my benchmark. Sorry, Fodark’s, I was hoping you would turn out to be a good location as you’re close to my work, but chances are I’ll not be here again considering all the good places to select from that are near by. And now I know. So I can put that question and nagging urge to rest.

I guess I don’t get it. I had the Gyros Plate. It was a big pile of meat, a pita and a pile of fries. The meat was 50⁄50. By that I mean half of it was really good and half was dried out and leathery. and it seemed random. Also there were pieces of bone in it. I like bone. I cook it to make gelatin and to make stock and to make marrow soup. However I prefer not to bite into shards of it randomly. Please. Other than that it was ok. I could easily have split this with a kid or a smallish eater. It was $ 9 more or less. I will go again but I do not get the great reviews.

Stopped in here one night when I had a craving for a good gyro. I had tried one a long time ago and wasn’t too impressed but I constantly heard good things, and that their gyros are number one in Lake County. So I gave it another go. I got the gyro combo, with extra sauce it was just under $ 10. I took it to go because I live just down the street. It was ready in a timely manner. I would say the décor is functional diner/hot dog joint. The service is efficient, not bad but what’s the best way to put it, indifferent? No warm and fuzzies, no thank you’s. Oh well. Fries were ok, I liked that they put ketchup in the bag without me asking, as my ketchup to fries ratio is a bit ridiculous even I admit. I got diet pop, not sure what it was, had no distinct taste, being a stickler on my fountain drinks I couldn’t even drink it. The gyro was good, sliced a bit thicker than I would like, excellent flavor. Good amount of sauce, only minimal tomato tho I would have liked another slice or two. Overall it was ok, it does the job when you are too tired to go further or cook on a week night or the like. Can’t recommend the fountain drinks and I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here. Oh and the gyros? The city is better, or Nikko’s or Dengeos is a better bet for here in the burbs.

Dee-licious gyros! All I’ve had is the gyro because it is that good. why stray away from goodness? The tzatziki sauce is the best I’ve had and the meat is perfect. Highly recommend going here for the gyros and fries… I think I might have to make a trip for lunch today. Service is always fast and friendly… In an out in 5 minutes with deliciousness.

Italian beef rubbery and chewy. Asked for with cheese dipped, got a bag of cheddar melted under the salamander, not dipped. Fries were good, onion rings ok but very salty. Not sure I’ll return

Time for the best gyros in lake county! Add an order of fresh cut fries and you are all set! Just found my new favorite dish at Fodraks… Chopped salad. Doesn’t seem to be on the sale menu but there is a picture of one near the cash register. Best salad ever!

I’ve discounted Fodrak’s for the longest time. I had gotten some chicken sandwich here years ago and it was very disgusting, as the chicken was beyond dry, had a strange flavor to it, and was very small for the price I paid. Since that sandwich I’ve been very anti-Fodrak’s, but yesterday I decided to give them another shot. I ordered a half-chicken to take to go and I’m shocked to be saying this, but it was good! The chicken was nice and toasty, the meat was very flavorful, and the skin was crisp. I’m a bit embarrassed to say that I haven’t had their famous gyros, and that is perhaps why I haven’t been a big fan of Fodrak’s…but I definitely plan on trying that sometime soon, especially since my recent meal here was tasty!
