My family and I came here to see my brother in law graduate from the Navy. The hotel clerks accommodated all our needs and were incredibly nice and courteous. We only planned on staying one night but there was an unexpected change in the plans and my mother in law and her other son had to stay longer. They made sure to add the days in and even added a small fridge to our room so that we didn’t have to waste our food! We aren’t even in a suite! They are simply the nicest hotel we have stayed at. I would recommend them any day.

Clean, large room with computer desk alcove and comfortable beds. Rollout bed for little one was in the room and ready to go. Breakfast is great and served early for those going to Naval basic training graduation. Transportation to and from is provided in a timely and courteous manner. The hotel staff is courteous and friendly. The ice cold water in the lobby is always a big plus. The late afternoon/early evening cookies are always fresh-baked, warm, and appreciated. Yum!

This is the 2nd location in the area I’ve stayed at. Was visiting for the 4th of July. All the desk people were really nice. But I’ve never been to a Holiday Inn where they haven’t been. Booked a jacuzzi room for the weekend. Got into the room & noticed a mildew smell. Who puts a jacuzzi tub on carpet with no tile around it?! I always pack candles when I stay in a hotel so the smell wasn’t that bad after an hour or so. The surface of the room was clean, but there was cob webs in every corner & even a spider in one of hose corners. The drawers were disgusting. Half of they were warped from what I hope was just water. Sound wise I never heard anyone in the halls or other rooms. Breakfast was normal hotel breakfast. Would never stay at this location again. Especially since there’s much cleaner & prettier smelling Holiday Inns(for cheaper) in the area.

our room had everything we needed to be happy and comfortable with one exception — one of the beds in our room was very saggy. the breakfast was delicious and the staff was polite if not overly friendly. this is in a smaller town and as a family with same sex parents we felt welcomed and safe.

I created a Unilocal account strictly for this review. I stayed at this hotel for my good friends wedding. We arrived, checked in and went to our room and our key didn’t work. We tried it a couple times before going downstairs. Finally went back down for a new key and came back up and that didn’t work. The receptionist finally gave me a master key and it worked. Went to the wedding and came back and the key didnt work again. We told the worker and we ended up sitting outside our room for 30 min, finally went downstairs and the guy had forgotten about us. We apologized and escorted us to the room to let us in. I normally don’t write reviews but this one just upset me

I booked a room for a soccer tournament. At the last minute the tournament was cancelled due to flooding in the area, a situation obviously beyond our control. I called to cancel my reservation and the hotel will not refund my deposit based on the extenuating circumstances of the flooding. Teammates who were staying at a different Holiday Inn property a few miles away were able to get their money refunded because the management of that hotel was sympathetic and reasonable and kind and took into account the circumstances. The manager of this hotel and the endless loop of customer care people I talked too were sarcastic, condescending at times, and not really compassionate to our situation. In the end our $ 130 has not been refunded and subsequently Holiday Inn is losing us as a family and business use customer. My point in this review, if you are needing a place to stay in this area and you want to stay at Holiday Inn, I would not stay at this location but choose the one nearby. They seem to understand their customers better.

Didn’t have my reservation at check in(made through Expedia) but after a call from Expedia they honored the lower price. Clean rooms and good breakfast(free). Front desk staff often on phone but friendly when available. Shares a parking lot with small strip mall with two good restaurants and a Walgreens. Would stay here again!

This maybe the worst hotel I’ve been in in the last 20 years. It is under construction so you have to actually call them to even get in. Thank god my phone had enough battery life to make a call. There is no parking, the place is a construction site that reeks of cigarette smoke. There is no parking within 100 yards of the elevator. No facilities that anyone would want to eat in. Wifi doesn’t work. I wouldn’t stay here if the rooms were free

The BEST hotel bed I have ever, ever slept in. Clean, unbelievably comfortable. The pillows were also superb! Sure made getting out of bed the next morning tough. The front desk staff was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Breakfast was excellent and met our group’s needs.

We enjoyed our 2-night stay here. It seems like they have just updated the décor – all the carpeting, wallpaper and curtains were brand-new. We had a King Suite, which was very spacious and comfortable. Staff was friendly, no complaints whatsoever.

There are so many nice hotels in this area… i would suggest you stay at one of those and not this one. I went up to Libertyville last week for work and this was one of of only two hotels available… sadly i wish i would have chose the other one. I remember staying here once before just after it opened years back and it wasn’t that bad. Sadly though… they hadn’t done anything to it since then… except upgrade the TVs to a flat screen. Oh yea and the remote they provide doesn’t work right with the TV. So you can’t set the Sleep Timer which is a real pain if you like to sleep with the TV on. Plus there is no fridge or microwave in the room, which is one of my pet peeves. This hotel is in need of a thorough cleaning and new carpet to say the least. The rooms didn’t smell that bad but the hallways did. Also the bathroom in my room was very scary. It looks like the poll to the shower was removed and replace a few times, but they never plugged any of the previous holes. The shower curtain looked like it was falling down. It took me a while to realize that was the style. The only explanation i could think of is they bought them on clearance from Ross or something and they were manufacturer rejects. Yes it was that bad. The toilet didn’t seem anchored in well and rocked a little when you sat down on it. The towels probably should be replaced as well. since they are not soft any more. Oh yea and the pillows were lumpy which caused me to have some back and neck pain… which is still haunting me now that i am back home. I didn’t try the breakfast. but it didn’t look that bad. It seemed to rotate every day most days it included eggs except for the last day i was there, and they had french toast sticks as well.

I stayed here almost 6 nights in the last month. I was under the mistaken impression that there wasn’t much else close enough to where I was working, to stay there. Then I found another place, which I won’t mention here. Basically, this hotel is in dire need of updating. The breakfast selection is very basic, though cookies are nice. I don’t recall anything terribly disgusting about the room, but in general, the hotel is getting old. Carpeting, rooms, entrance area, everything is dated. There are other, much newer, much nicer hotels in the area. Pick something else.

actually not too bad for a holiday inn. rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, and they had a complimentary breakast in the morning which had bacon, eggs, pastries, cereal, juices… by far the best free continental breakfast i’ve seen at a hotel. they have coffee throughout the day, and free oatmeal cookies at the front desk. the business center printer didn’t work, and the staff didn’t seem to really know the area that well, but that’s what a gps is for, right?

This particular Holiday Inn Express was certainly not«fresh and clean.» Well, okay, they took a clearly older hotel and put a new veneer on it by upgrading the TVs and some of the furniture. A few things I noticed during my 2 night stay: — Old ragged towels and linens. — Wallpaper peeling off throughout the room. — Room smelled like smoke even though it was labeled a «Non-Smoking» room. — Blood spatter on the bathroom mirror(from someone’s traumatic flossing?). — Traditional thin walls of older establishments. I could hear everyone in the hallway, in the rooms next to me and above me. On the positive side: — Very friendly staff. — Free wireless Internet — Good free breakfast options starting at 6AM. — Fairly inexpensive. — Next to a Walgreens and a gas station. Bottom line: I would not stay here again. There are too many other options nearby.
