Went there for the first time this past weekend. It was very good from start to finish. The food and service were both excellent. We had the beef wellington but there were a few other things like the duck and rack of lamb that I’d like to try so we will be going back even though it is out of our way. I would recommend this place for sure.

Le Bistro is our favorite restaurant in South Florida — Chef Andy stresses quality over quantity — as it should be – so when we want perfect duck we come here — Beef Wellington for two is another of our favorites. Elin always has a bottle of our favorite Viognier waiting, and tolerates our disorderly conduct with a smile.

The food was fabulous! The bison and filet tartar was delicious. Also had the lamb that was cooked perfectly. The vegetable hash was super. We will definitely be back.

Though its name is Le Bistro and does have a rather dated, drab interior décor about it that would fit with a bistro, Le Bistro is in fact a full-fledged French restaurant with offerings that hit the mark of being pure culinary artistry. Indeed, it is one of the areas very best. Though its menu is on the small side in choices, it’s more than complete enough no matter what you select, you can be assured it will be top notch good, expertly prepared and presented. Though I had intended to start with a foie gras, they had run out, so I switched over to their appetizer of «Bison & Filet Mignon Tartare» as combined with enhancements of with caper, Dijon sauce, organic egg yolk and housemade pickles, and in the process I learned something. Having had and made my own filet mignon tartare it always had a certain undesirable sogginess and fatty taste about it. But here, the chef, by combining the leaner bison with meat of the filet, completely eliminated that sogginess and fatty taste. So, I can say without any equivocation, it’s the best tartare around. At this point, while pondering the menu for my main, I remembered to do my Unilocal check-in, and what a pleasant surprise that was as up popped a Unilocal/Le Bistro treat for a complimentary split bottle of champagne. So, fellow Unilocalers, be sure to keep that in mind to enjoy dinning at Le Bistro along with knowing you are dinning in a Unilocal friendly establishment. For my main I went for the Dover sole with fingerling potatoes and asparagus. When it arrived, it wasn’t at all what I had expected. Instead of being the usual filets of sole, this was the whole skinned out body of the entire fish. Then, after presenting it to me, my well accomplished waitress proceeded to expertly debone it placing the deboned filets on my dinning plate along with, and what a delightful«lucky me» surprise, two very large hunks of dover roe. Couple with my complimentary champagne, it proved to be one my most memorable as well as delightful dining experiences. When finished eating all I could eat, the chef came out to inquire as to how I enjoyed my meal, and to our mutual shock, we already knew each other. As best we could remember, we had met years ago at the Culinary Institute on 17th Causeway where he had been an instructor and I had been there for an all Florida food only culinary scholarship fundraiser competition. So, just knowing that he had been an accomplished culinary institute instructor, clearly means he is chef that knows what being a good chef is all about. Not being able to consume my huge portion of Dover sole, my waitress kindly boxed and bagged the same for take home. When I opened the bag the next day, to my delight she had included a generous apple cake/bread as a make-up gesture for having forgotten to serve me any dipping oil with my bread the previous night. It was one of those really kind thoughtful gestures rarely experienced these days and a delicious one to boot.

Very late in this review but wanted to rate this restaurant. This place is a hidden gem in Lighthouse Point. My husband and I decided to celebrate our anniversary here and were not disappointed. The food was excellent and the staff very friendly.

Came here for Passover Seder dinner. They offered a four course dinner for $ 49.99 per person which at first I thought was a little much to pay. But it was worth every penny. First was the traditional Seder plate with matzah etc. we both had the endive salad and mixed green salad with blue cheese walnuts and a balsamic reduction. This was followed by a chicken matzah ball soup that had large chunks of chicken, tender matzah balls and surprisingly cilantro which gave it an unexpected twist! Delicious –the best soup I ever had. We each had salmon which was cooked medium rare– it was cooked to perfection… Crispy exterior on top and moist silky fish underneath. It sat atop a potato latke and baby peas, string beans, carrots and cauliflower. A nice generous portion was given. I had a chocolate parfait with fresh fruit, strawberries, raspberries with caramel sauce. My boyfriend had caramelized Granny Smith apples with raisins, candied walnuts atop French vanilla ice cream. We will be back for a special occasion and highly recommend!

Was there New Year’s Eve. They had a fix price. The portions were big(surprisingly for French food) and very good. The owner and son worked the tables. Their help was sick. They both did a great job. The chef(husband) also helped out, bottom line, food was very good. Would definitely recommend going there.

Came here spontaneously for my boyfriends birthday dinner when Papas Raw Bar was full. This place was meant to be. He loved the prime rib. Perfect medium. And so tender. I had the oxtail and it was so juicy and flavored perfectly. We had the mushroom to start, and finished with crème brûlée. Great wine selections Wonderful dining experience. Plus the owner Elin served us! She was such a pleasure. Definitely added an extra dimension to our entire dining experience. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a special place.

My wife and I went to Le Bistro along with two other couples for a nice Valentine’s dinner. I had never been to Le Bistro before but the restaurant came highly recommended. So I drove an hour from Miami Beach for a special night out with my wife and friends. The atmosphere was delightful, perfect for a romantic dinner. We chose the 5 course Valentine’s dinner and each course was spectacular. Besides the prime rib, my favorite was the asparagus with Bearnaise sauce. My prime rib was perfectly cooked at the requester medium rare, had a light Au Jus, the asparagus was perfectly cooked and the Bearnaise complimented the asparagus. Dessert consisted of crème brûlée for myself, chocolate mousse for my wife and mixed desserts for the table. Again, I was impressed. If I could have gotten away with it when no one was looking, I swear I would have licked the fancy bowl the crème brûlée came in. The chef/owner came out to greet us after the dinner and it was the icing on the cake for the evening. It was a very busy night for Le Bistro and we managed to have a nice relaxing evening with friends, great conversation lots of laughs and all without feeling rushed. It was an extremely delightful evening for myself and my taste buds and I would certainly recommend Le Bistro to friends in need of great food and a great evening

I’m very late on this review as I came here for Thanksgiving dinner. Since it was just me and my boyfriend this year, and I don’t eat meat anymore, I figured going out to dinner would be our best bet for him to get turkey and me not to have to deal with a dead bird. I researched a bunch of restaurants when Savanna M mentioned that she had received an email from Le Bistro with their Thanksgiving offerings. I looked it up and was pleased to find that they were offering traditional Thanksgiving meals as well as a vegetarian option. I was also pleased that I was able to make my reservation through open table. The reservation was for 7pm Thanksgiving Day. We arrived and entered the restaurant. It is pretty small inside and I definitely wouldn’t recommend coming without reservations. The entrance area is very small and I was uncomfortable waiting for them just to come up and greet us and get us to our table, I can’t imagine if you had to wait there for any period of time. This restaurant has a very quaint feel, and on the inside you feel like you’re in a small house up north, definitely not a South Florida vibe, but it was cozy for the occasion. We placed an order for a bottle of wine, and decided on our meals. The menu was three courses for ~$ 35 a person. We both started with the autumn salad. This was a delicious salad with cranberries, almonds, green apples, blue cheese, and a dijon dressing. I’ve been trying to recreate a similar salad at home since then, and I just can’t seem to get it quite as good. For the entrée my boyfriend went with the traditional Thanksgiving dinner while I went for the vegetable plate. I loved the green beans and creamy mushrooms on the veggie plate, but the main item, an acorn squash stuffed with sweet potatoes left a little to be desired. I think I wanted the squash a little more cooked for some creaminess. I also wish they had traditional white potatoes as my boyfriends meal also came with a sweet potato. The cranberry sauce was good with a nice tartness and not too much sugar added. My boyfriend was very happy with his turkey, and he also had the green beans and mushrooms I did on his plate. Dessert was up next. I ordered the pecan pie as it is one of my favorites, but waayyyyy too much sugar for everyday life. It was quite delicious with a really nice crust. My boyfriend ordered the apple tart and pastry in that was great also. The service here kind of went along with the atmosphere. It wasn’t a five star restaurant service feel, but more like a homey feel where you could see the staff bringing the food from the kitchen and the owner stopped by to chat and see how things were. With the bottle of wine and tip our Thanksgiving dinner was less than $ 100, I didn’t have to deal with a raw turkey, and I didn’t have to clean up. I also didn’t have pesky leftovers tempting me in the fridge for a week after while I’m trying to diet. I was pleased with the meal, and I would love to come back and try their regular menu. They keep vegetarian and gluten free diets in mind, but also prepare some serious meats as well, so there is something for everyone.

Excellent food. Dishes have a high degree of difficulty and creativity. Try the oxtail and the mushroom soup as both are outstanding.

Def give this place a try and you will be back for more. From the amazing individualized service to the high end, fresh food, you can taste the quality in what they produce. I had a party there for 20, and not only was Elin so great and accommodating to work with, but the set up was great, the food was delicious and everyone left very satisfied. Also the prices were outstanding for what we received. I will be back for personal meals, best french food I have had in South Florida-thanks Le Bistro!

The chef here shows his food some love! Creative, delicious, and good looking grub all the time. Who would expect it by looking at the location. Why some classy hotel hasn’t tucked this place onto their verandah bewilders me.

I loved this place. By accident I saw the youtube videos when Gordon Ramsey went to do a show there. It was all rubbish, the service was great and the food was very good. I met the owner and shared a laugh. My waiter Kyle was great. He knew his stuff. A little far from Miami but well worth the trip. Risotto was light and tasty. Deserts are stuff that dreams are made of quality. The fix price menus are generous and a really nice deal. You should come out of here smiling.

This place is amazing! The food is incredible on its’ own, but to make it even better, it is mostly gluten and dairy free! Those of us on restricted diets need never feel deprived here! From the garlic pesto escargot with gluten free bread, to the roasted cauliflower with rosemary, golden raisins, garlic and shallots, to the bee pollen encrusted goat cheese, this place is FANTASTIC! That was even before DINNER! The wine list is great, with so many to choose from! Dinner was rack of lamb and petite filet — both expertly prepared and served!

Over the top Fantastic! From the fabulous Goat Cheese App, to our steaks, to the great service, to the wine and desert, it was all fantastic! Thank you Elin and Andy! Started with the Bee Pollen Goat cheese, it was terrific! My husband had the Hangar Steak and I had the Petit Filet, we cut both with our forks and I have never had such a tender And flavorful steak! I had the red zin sauce and I loved it on top of everything! My husband said his steak was cooked perfectly, the truffle butter and mashed potatoes were delicious and loved it all! I was amazed that this restaurant was not full to capacity! It was a Sat night and there was plenty of room! It shouldn’t be! If you live within 20 miles of here you should check it out, we will be back, with friends, for sure, a lot.

ANAMAZINGDINNER! My wife and I were looking for a place in South Florida to have our traditional holiday dinner, when we stumbled upon Le bistro on the internet. I called and made reservation with Elin(she could not have been more inviting on the phone). When our party of 4 arrived, Elin greeted us at the door with a warm and friendly greeting. She introduced herself to all of us before showing us to our table. Our table was set an ready to go. The atmosphere was charming. Ray was our server and was a true professional(Smart, Fast, & Friendly). Ray was assisted by Alex, it was only her second night, but you would have never known it. The service was PERFECT!!! Now for the food… We had an all inclusive, traditional, holiday dinner with all of the trimmings. We are still talking about how wonderful all the food was prepared… so much flavor, the recipes and the presentations were truly amazing. After dinner, Elin asked me if I wanted to go back to the kitchen to meet Owner/Chef(her husband) Andy, I did and was very surprised. He was on the food line and still found the time to meet a new customer, now that was impressive. Elin walked us to the door when we left. I cannot remember the last time I was walked to the door by a restaurant owner when leaving their establishment(nice touch). We can’t wait to go back to this truly extraordinary bistro.
