We came here after we flew into Lihue; it’s a great stop very close to the airport! Great tasting coffee and nice large open seating with beautiful wooden tables. Friendly staff and nice place to chill.

The first thing I do when traveling in new places is to Unilocal find all the coffee spots in the area. If there isn’t good coffee, we can’t stay. Luckily, Ha Coffee was close and it ended up being one of my favorite spots in Kauai. Relaxing vibe, great cold brew, and delicious buttermilk donuts. Get there early for the donuts!

Such a great coffee shop, the first we visited in Lihue on our recent stay. Spacious, friendly staff, exceptional coffee.

By far my favorite coffee spot on the island if not the world. I could always make my own coffee. It probably wouldn’t taste as good. But the real reason I come here every day if not twice a day is because the service. The guys/girls over there really take the extra steps to make sure you get the best service and really feel at home. Aloha guys

The atmosphere was super calming, and not too busy. There’s so much space. They do open mic nights and other events as well. Super clean, nice sized tables. Good amount of options for coffee, ask for recommendations if you’re stuck with all the choices.

I have tried so many times to like this establishment. The atmosphere is nice, but the staff is not. My experience today is the last. After receiving my drinks I questioned something about one of my drinks. I got an answer and I thought my exchange with them was reasonable, however, as I was walking out the door, I heard the person behind the bar say, «you enjoy your drinks» in a sarcastic way! I’m done with this place. Plus the drinks are too small and not that good tasting.

Spacious light-filled coffee sho with ample seating. Service was fast and friendly, coffee was tasty and strong. I ordered Liquid Sunshine(cold brew + coconut syrup + coconut milk) and it was delicious! Hubby opted for Kauai Sunshine which is the same but with espresso and equally good. Bonus for parents with kiddos — there are puzzles, books and blocks available to play with. My 4 year old happily worked on puzzles while I got my java fix — win win!

Tried the bee sting latte and it was good! Really big space inside. Haven’t tried the coffee yet but so far I’d give it four stars!

Ha is by far my favorite coffee shop on Kauai, or anywhere else for that matter. The coffee is so good. My fav drink is the Kauai Sunshine. They have free wi-fi, tons of space to work and even some yummy vegan food options! I love coming here to work and do conference calls during the day or to have in-person meetings. Great people, great space and awesome coffee.

What’s the highest compliment you can pay a coffeehouse? I make the effort to go there, because the way I feel when I’m there feels like home. A kind of intimacy. A Cheers, where everybody knows my name. On an island known for its aloha, Ha Coffee Bar stands head and shoulders above any business of its kind I’ve settled in with some tea and set up my laptop in for friendliness, service, and willingness to flex and make things a great experience. I never feel like they’re trying, you know? It always feels like they’re not trying, in the best of ways. It’s flow. This friendliness and service and welcome and aloha is just something natural there, not practiced. A redone drink? Sample something? How’s your day, Pete? Could you put this together for me? I have this thing going on, and I’d like to sit here for the day, use your power, take up a table, and get it done. No problem. Never a problem. If you’ve never checked it out, you should head in again for an Orange Blossom iced tea. If you’re a regular… I’ll see you soon.

Great iced coffee. They also provided us some WiFi, which was very generous. Lots of space, although the most comfortable spot was definitely on the comfy chairs. Love the local brews!

Latte, decaf coffee and pastry was all we had, it was fine. We like the convenience, service and ambience. It’s fine for the morning coffee, pastry and wifi service.

Sadly, the recent reviews about service here are correct. Stopped here based on the 4 stars before we left for our flight. Ordered a latte and a pour-over. Latte came out quickly, but was a little under-extracted and weak. My pour-over was held up by the barista’s fascination with whatever was on her phone. After nearly 15 minutes, two other groups getting their espresso drinks, my walking past the bar and being told«it’s almost ready sir»(spoiler alert: it had been ready, but had been forgotten on the bar the whole time) and finally, the other barista asking the texter how long my coffee had been sitting there(interrupting Miss Textalot, who noticed I was staring and jumped, then quickly poured my coffee into a cup) she finally brought my coffee out. The saddest part of all this? I would have put up with that if the coffee was excellent. I expect a certain level of apathy in baristas at nicer coffee shops, but I also expect excellent coffee. Instead, I got a cup that was obviously over-extracted and bitter, a shame when using a bean like Ka’u, which can be spectacular when brewed with care. Moral of the story: put your phone down and do your job!

We found this place on Instagram because they liked on of our pictures. I’m glad we came across this place. The best vanilla late I have ever tasted. The place is huge and decorated nicely! Very friendly staff. Good experience!

Ha Coffee has an incredible cold brew that is absolutely perfect for a warm Kauai day! Poured out of a tap and full of chocolate-y coffee bean flavor, I was definitely very impressed! I was probably even more proud of myself for having found such a gem. The staff were incredibly friendly and the space welcomes you to stay awhile at their long community table and cozy looking chairs. I will most certainly be back!

Love this place! Was so glad it was open on New Years Day! The staff was really friendly, and had great suggestions for our coffee and tea(orange blossom was awesome)! Their baked goods were fresh and yummy. They have open mike as well for a cool ambiance. Definitely will come here every time I’m in Lihue!

ha coffee on rice street is a cool place to hang out and grab a cup of your favorite beverage. the interior is has great ambiance and make it a cool place to hang out, whether you’re by yourself or with a group of friends. they have seating at the bar, which is cool because you’re able to watch them make the drinks and chat with the baristas.

Ha Coffee Bar might be too cool for me, but I keep going back for my morning joe. Their wide open floor plan, wood panel interior, and coffee bar are relaxing and inviting. If you can snag a table, Ha is a nice place to read, have a business meet up, or study – I would love for them to host a whiskey tasting or have live music at night… There drink menu features the basics. A few espresso drinks, pour over and cold brewed coffee, and ice blended. Beware they can have a heavy hand on the sweeteners, so if you don’t like your drinks too sweet, ask them to put less mocha, vanilla syrup, etc. and you can always add more if needed. Ha also brings in baked goods from outside vendors. They have stuffed Focaccias – which are more like rolled buns than focaccia – in Mediterranean, Hawaiian, and Breakfast flavors, and sweet pastries like Apple Cake and Brownies. I don’t care for the baked goods. I’ve tried a few, but haven’t found one I would order again. So I just grab my coffee – usually a Latte if I want a hot drink or a Cold Brewed if I want something iced – and get on with my day. They also have an electronic reward card for frequent customers, so sign-up to collect your stars!
