Yes, it’s Italian food on Kauai but you get 5 stars for making some of the best Italian pasta even compared to mainland options. I wasn’t expecting much, but each dish wowed and we left pleasantly content afterwards. The house salad used local greens and was great! Husband got the chicken parm with pesto spaghetti and couldn’t stop raving about the taste with each bite(he usually is not a fan of pasta). I got the simple pasta marinara and it was hot, fresh, and so tasty! The garlic bread was great too! If this was near to our home, it would be a regular place for us to visit. There was little to no wait, portions were good, and really great Italian food to break up the Hawaiian food options. Atmosphere was casual but nice enough where you feel like you’re going to dinner. Also a few family with kids too so family friendly. Stop by and be surprised!

One of the very best Italian restaurants anywhere. Period. The flavors are so expertly constructed and presented and the staff is great! Only drawback might be the size, layout and atmosphere of the property itself, and the challenges that that brings. But well worth any minor inconvenience to this great Lihue restaurant. Yum!!!

Kauai Pasta is a great place for dinner The service was good and fast. Our waitress did a wonderful job of checking on us frequently without being too pushy. She made sure we were satisfied with everything and even made a few modifications to the dishes we ordered. I would recommend this place if toys staying I Kauai.

Amazing Italian food on Kauai! Hands down best meal we had on our trip and probably top 5 Italian meals we’ve had in recent memory. The pesto chicken Alfredo was delicious, portobello mushroom salad was great and the spinach and artichoke dip is a must have. We highly recommend anyone who enjoys Italian to stop by.

We were looking for a place to eat at 8:15 on a Sunday night in Lihue. KP Lihue was open. We had never heard of it but thought we’d give it a try. We had the bruschetta 2 ways for an appetizer. I had the pesto pasta and my husband had the Fettuccini alfredo. We loved our food! The appetizer was ridiculously good. I could have ordered another one and called it dinner. We had a couple glasses of chianti with it. I would have given this place 5 out of 5 stars but our waitress was rude to my husband. I am not sure if she meant to be but she should probably brush up on her people skills. Would definitely recommend this place if you are in the mood for italian or just a good meal.

WOW!!! Very cute restaurant!!! The front area has about 10 tables but apparently they have recently expanded so there was more seating in the back of the restaurant. I wasn’t expecting much but I was quite surprised! Food was wonderful, service was excellent. The warm Rosemary bread, salad, and eggplant parmesan was outstanding!!! I will for sure be back!!!

We have found a jewel! Even though the place was busy their staff was pleasant and attentive. Everything we ordered was delicious. Had a gin ginger cocktail, fabulous. $ 10. Bombay Sapphire with tonic and lime. $ 9. Steamed clams in a tomato sausage sauce with grilled bread to sop up every drop of unbelievable drop dead sauce! $ 13.95. Wild Boar Osso Bucco w/tomato risotto and kale. It was fork tender, fall off the bone. Risotto cooked perfectly with Parmesano Reggiano. $ 29. Veal Marsala, fork tender in a delicious sauce served w/mashed potatoes and string beans. $ 24.95. Glass of Cabernet Sauvignon $ 10. Banana Lumpia(2 pieces) served with vanilla bean ice cream. Could have eaten 5 of those little guys, they were so good. $ 10. Glass of white port(2 ounces) $ 6. Double espresso $ 5.50. Will return every year when in Kauai.

This place is the real deal — generous portions, delicious pasta & a lovely atmosphere. I had the fresh clam linguini & my boyfriend had the Greek pasta, both of which we devoured. Service was excellent, and we are seriously impressed with this little place we drove by from the airport. 5 stars for sure!

Delicious food every time! The salads are amazing, have well balanced flavors and are very filling. The spinach salad with pears, blue cheese, candied pecans and balsamic glaze is by far my favorite. Their paninis are also delicious and have the right amount of ingredients between the light focaccia bread. The ambiance is casual, but elegant and the staff are all very friendly. I love coming to KP every time I’m on Kauai. I wish Oahu would have a location too!

Wow… That pretty much sums up how I feel about this fine restaurant. The Lady saw that they have two locations on Kauai and joked that they were«Kauai’s Olive Garden.» I thought about this and realized that she was not far off. They are a chain(albeit, local) and, much like Olive Garden they serve standard Italian fare at a reasonable price. That is where the comparisons end though. Where Olive Garden serves lukewarm fast food equivalents of Italian food at prices that are much too high for the quality you get, Kauai Pasta serves fresh made food at prices that are insanely cheap for Kauai and comparative to Olive Garden prices. The reason that they can serve such amazing food at the best prices is because they use an astounding array of local ingredients in their dishes. All of the beef is from Kauai grown cattle and the produce used in their sauces and salads are largely locally farmed. Since little needs to be imported from the mainland they can control their price AND quality and deliver amazingly fresh food. I had the house-made sauce with sausage and Kauai beef with a side green salad with balsamic dressing on the first trip. The portion was ample and it came with a side of this amazing garlic baguette that I could not get enough of. The second and third trips I had the chicken parmesan with a side cesar salad and was not disappointed either time. If anyone stops by Kauai they need to take a half hour or so and have a meal here. I will be back at this place EVERY time I happen to be in Kauai and you should too!

The artichoke dip was some of the best we’ve ever had! Our waitress(Liz) was so kind and friendly, she gave us some great tips on beaches to hit with the kids. My youngest even ordered her own dinner for the first time ever. Liz was so great! All of us really liked our food too, I just took off one star because it took a really long time to get our main courses. Portions were huge! The green beans(side) were to die for yummy!

Everytime I go to Kauai, I HAVE to eat at this place. They have 2 locations and I’ve eaten at both. I just learned on my last trip that this used to be a husband and wife venture, however, they have divorced since then so the wife got the Kapaa location and the husband got the Lihue location. Since the husband is the actual chef, it’s pretty safe to say the Lihue location might have an advantage over the Kapaa one. Regardless; this place is the bomb! Everything I’ve eaten there was delicious and the service has always been impeccable. The ambience is quite romantic, although the last two times I went there were with my girlfriends! Definitely put this on your foodie list if you like authentic Italian cuisine.

By far the best pasta my husband or I’ve had. Our last night on Kauai we decided to eat here, sat at the bar and my husband had 2 Mojito’s, we shared Crab Cakes and Fried Mozzarella, then had Shrimp Alfredo and Chicken Parmesan with Alfredo and shared Dark Chocolate Crème Burlee. Serious Kanak Attack! My husband did try to make reservations and they don’t take them. Visa and MasterCard only.

We tried to come here four years ago, but I believe we came just before closing and they had stopped seating. I totally understood(being a former waiter) cause the last thing I’d want is a new table and then have them stay later. So no worries. But we were in town for a movie and vowed to stop and have a late lunch… and we’re so glad we did. Friendly greeting, and there were three other tables on one side of the dining room. Great wine list! I ordered a bottle of red from Sicily. We haven’t had a wine from that region and this one was good! She: You are over 21? Dang, this new haircut trimmed some years off me…“Hi new best friend!” We started with the Grilled Bruschetta Two Ways… at first I thought it was going to be with tomatoes, garlic, and olive oil, but two had a white bean spread and the others had an olive tapenade… very good! We both ordered the pesto which was made with basil, parsley, mac nuts and olive oil. This was delicious although I wished there was more pesto because it is really good! I also ordered mine with Grilled Makaweli Beef Meatballs… which were excellent! I did order dessert… dark chocolate crème brûlée… heaven in a cup! Went well with the rest of the wine. I did order an espresso as well since it was going to be a long drive back to Princeville. Overall, it was a very tasty lunch! Our server, Morgan, was great! Everything came out in a timely fashion, she checked up on us, and even ran out before we drove off because I left my wallet on the table. We might have to come back one more time before we leave the island.

Great place! After a week of mediocre and expensive meals on Kauai we were so happy to find this place that we went back again the very next night. A tad expensive(but everything here is), and the high quality food and great staff more than deserve it.
