The place is not exactly in a people friendly location. It’s in a totally industrial location off Puhi Road, and only accessible by car. The building is a drive up shack with a rocky drive way, and the place looks a bit weather beaten. To be honest, I couldn’t quite tell about the quality of the food because I had to look at it through the fly screens to see, and the food looked a bit like your typical greasy Filipino fast food fare. I know, I know… it doesn’t exactly sound like a ringing endorsement. BUT… YOUMUSTTRYTHEIRHALOHALO!!! The lady who makes the halo halo is a veritable genius. She blends the perfect amount of beans, jellies, fruit preserves, syrups, and tops it with rice crispies and a nice dollop of ice cream. Not overly sweet… and the flavors complement each other quite well. After an arduous day of diving/hiking/surfing, or just soaking up that Kauian heat, the halo halo really hits the spot. Whenever we go to Kauai, we always make it a point to come here!
