Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Lima

I was extremely impressed with this Holiday Inn Express. I stayed for one night, on a Thursday. They have a very clean and updated property. I ran into a small parking issue because of an event going on in the building, but th at was my only issue. There is also a cute little restaurant just off the lobby that has good burgers and serves breakfast. They were having a comedy night the night I stayed, which was entertaining. I’ll be staying back at this property if I find myself back in Lima!

I was very impressed with this Holiday Inn and Suites. The staff was very friendly, they kept the bar and restaurant open for us as there were several of us getting in late and didn’t want to have to venture out to find food, the rooms were clean, they have an indoor swimming pool, which all the little kids love and a decent workout room. Most importantly is that I found the best pillow I have ever slept on and my wife had ordered us both one before we ever left the hotel. By far the best pillows!

We have a monthly association meeting here every month. They take such great care of us in the convention meeting rooms. Ask for Michelle or Brad. The menus are creative and change with the seasons. The biggest plus, is it’s so easy for our new guests and Speakers who come from out of town to find this location.

As I sit here, I think about how awful the internet is. It may be the worst wifi I have ever used.
The rooms are decent, clean enough, and decorated just fine. There is no shortage of outlets in the rooms.
I ate at the restaurant and while they have a decent beer selection, their food was mediocre at best. I ordered a black and bleu burger. They did not ask me how I wanted the burger done (which, to me, indicates a lack of quality). The burger wasn’t quite burnt, but it was close. There were crusty burnt bits that I didn’t enjoy. I ordered fries with my burger. I like to dip my fries in mayonnaise, but the mayonnaise they gave me was actually so tasteless that I used Heinz 57 ketchup (which I despise because it is full of high fructose corn syrup).
I should have ordered the salad.
The wifi is so bad. I had to click the «Post» button 7 times to post this.

Very nice hotel… along the theme of the HIX but minus some of the flare.
The restaurant has limited hours… will try them tonight.
Wait…no pool or spa… an observation for management: business travelers really appreciate a nice and comfy room, and while the fitness center is… okay…a cool pool or hot tub to soak in would have beem very welcomed.
This hotel is very nice, but there needs to be a little more in comfort to warrant the rate and to earn more stars.
