A very basic hotel. No roll outs available if you have an extra person. Floors are laminate flooring, which I am sure is easy to clean, but not too warm to step onto in the winter. We checked in after 9 on a Friday night, and I assumed I would use the night check in window. I waited for a minute at the check in window, and the only clerk instructed me to come inside the lobby. I was the only person there, and I am sure they could have checked me in via the night window. We had to ask for more towels for our second day there, and they only had half the number we requested. It was like begging for clean linens. We had to ask for more toilet paper from the lobby when we ran out(no extra roll in the room). The water in the shower was very noisy once you started using it and the water heated up. We also got to listen to somebody working on their car outside our room after 11 on a Friday evening. They were revving the engine so loud, it sounded as if the engine would blow up. Luckily, that didn’t go on too long. I will chose a different location and pay a little more for a Lima hotel the next time we are in town.

I stated this Motel 6 a couple weeks ago I am handicapped therefore I had to handicap room the room was not set up at all for handicapped person I was very disappointed in it and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone spend a little more money and go elsewhere if it’s important to you to have the accommodations that you need and that are necessary for you

Look, I was very aware that staying at the Motel 6 in Lima wasn’t going to be the Ritz. It was a cheap($ 50) room for the night. The staff at the lobby was just plain rude. When I called looking for a room, and wanted to place a reservation, the clerk could barely speak a word of English, and kept asking me for information that, to my knowledge, wasn’t relevant to renting a room for the night(drivers license number for one). When we arrived, the room was clean enough, about what you would imagine from a cheap room in a Motel 6, in Lima, Ohio. My main issue, was the constant banging, drilling, and loud noises that woke me up at 8 in the morning on a Sunday, it sounded like they were either repairing the room next door, or demolishing all together! Not a very professional thing to do when the surrounding rooms are occupied that early in the morning if you ask me. Regardless, it’s a cheap room, with a rude staff, and apparently complimentary carpentry class in the early hours!

It’s a motel 6. We wanted to stay at the Howard Johnson next to it but they were all booked. After driving from Pittsburgh to Cincinnati in one afternoon on our way up to Detroit, I hit the wall in Lima at 2AM after 6 hours of driving with a 3 hour Reds game in the middle. Ideally we don’t end up in these kinds of hotels but it worked. You couldn’t beat the price of $ 49 after taxes and they did have a room for us. You are not going to get wifi, breakfast, or even shampoo with you room but it served it purpose and we were right back on the road at 9AM. I will say this, it was clean, although one of the pillows when we pulled the blankets of the beds did not have a case or cover on it. Needless to say, we didn’t use that one.

The good: The room was huge and immaculately clean. The clerk didn’t ask me if I wanted smoking or non and I forgot to ask for a non-smoking room but got one anyway and it smelled really nice with not a tinge of smoke smell in it. There was a tub too, not just a shower. The water got nice and hot and the water pressure was better than the usual Motel 6. The clerk at the desk when I checked out was very nice and receptive when I talked to her about a sharp edge sticking out on the ledge outside. The room was exceptionally quiet, the bed was comfortable and I slept very well. Total price for my room with discount: $ 34.42. The bad: The clerk who checked me in wasn’t very pleasant, like someone who doesn’t like their job and isn’t going to do more than the minimum to get the paycheck. There was no TP in the room, I had to go to the front desk to get some. The roll holder was lying on the counter like maybe the maid got distracted before she finished refilling it. When the water got hot, the faucet/pipes would sound off like a fog horn. The toilet didn’t flush that great. Outside, the wood ledge had a long sharp protrusion sticking out that could have hurt someone who got too close to it, especially a child. I took a pic but it’s hard to see. This is the third trip I’ve spent an overnight here(’97, ’07, ’11). I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. 12÷21÷11 Back for one night en route to Indiana. Huge room, toilet secured to the floor, mild smoke smell I might have noticed more this time after staying in smoke-free motels in Michigan, mild second hand smoke drifting in from other rooms, everything clean and safe, under $ 35 w/discount, nice and quiet, mattress not very soft, heater dial not working well, sharp edge out front that I reported last trip appears to be fixed. See ya next time!
