Good breakfast, fantastic crepes and eggs! While she was nice our waitress was not ambitious, brought our check with the meal and I had to take my empty coffee to her after sitting empty for nearly 10 minutes. Ugh! And it was not even busy. The restaurant and restroom was clean so that is a plus.

Let me tell you, young whippersnappers, about the coffee crisis of 2015. To allude to the 1970s Incredible Hulk TV series: don’t be near me sans coffee, you wouldn’t like me sans coffee. It all started when we came here. It’s normally the best Bobs in Lima, but our visit Saturday fell way short of the mark, if the mark was the moon and the spaceship was a bathtub shot by a giant rubberband, and NASA had a critical coffee machine situation. The most annoying mishap was the below average service and the snippiness of our server. I joined my parents, who are regulars, here for breakfast. We met my great aunt and uncle – recently turned a spry 90-years-old. Being regulars, my parents notice many changes in staff – this may be an effect of turnover transition, newbies needing to get their feat wet and/or more training. We waited a good 10-minutes after sitting before we were acknowledged by one waitress and she took our drink order, which was coffee, the black oil of life needed for full functioning. I hadn’t had my FDA recommended morning allowance yet. Then that servor dissapeared into the mysterious corridors of the Eastgate Bob Evans never to be heard from again. Ten more minutes passed and I was jonesing for that blessed alkoloid, fading away like Marty Mcfly. Out came a new girl and took our order. «Ummm what?» The proper process is the coffee pour, then order, then serving of the food with more coffee. Being that the process was in disarray, and we hadn’t had our first pour, and she didn’t have coffee, and my head felt like a batting tee pummbled by countless metal bats I sat awkward and couldn’t comprehend, like Rainman being denied Whoppner, that I needed to order. I got it together and ordered followed by the rest of the party. Then we waited, and waited, and waited and still no f’n coffee! We were about to walk when my mother caught the server and inquired about it. Our server sniped back. «I’m getting it!» Unacceptable! Now, to be fair she did become more polite the rest of the trip. She seemed a bit bedazzled and busy; We are all human. She was obviously a new employee in a staff that was handling a surprise crowd.(living in a larger city it seemed an average size to me, but my mother said it was pretty crowded for the usual.) I am not screaming for her job, she just need more guidence on how to handle multiple parties while maintaining the expected process fluidly. And perhaps a little education on the importants a certain stimulant has to America hopped up and wired society. Finally she served the coffee! And that’s how I survived the coffee crisis of 2015 and live to tell you about it today. Beyond that: the food quality was below average. My homefries were undercook and I could taste the bitter starch of raw potatoes under the cooked shell. The Western Omelette I selected was a bit runny, lacked a suitable amount of ham, and had weak veggies. The fries must be a cooking mistake; the omelette I attribute to the corps; the choas reported from Bob’s home office flooding out to the stores. Normally I don’t review chains as they are already well known. But I did this in hopes to ring some gelks. This location usually does a great job. I’ll ge back, and if they rebound back to there usual professional quality, I’ll update my rating to reflex that.

Took 10 min to be seated. Not a problem. Took forty minutes to get our food, eventhough i watched it sit under the warmer for 10 min. Service was ridiculously slow and it wasn’t super busy.

Great breakfast options, decent lunch choices… the décor is slightly dated but its not a bad place for something to eat if you don’t mind the older crowd ;)

We were on our way home and needed a late quick dinner. Bob’s totally hit the spot. I love the roast beef over a bed of home fries with cheese on top… biscuits are great too! Super cheap!

Standard breakfast fare, though they do serve throughout the day, best known for breakfast nonetheless. In particular, their sausage links and patties are good, along with eggs and omelets. Had what was referred to as one pancake with my breakfast, just didn’t know that it meant one the size of a plate — good but couldn’t finish.
