There’s significantly better BBQ down the road at the Texas BBQ truck. Dickie’s is to BBQ what Red Lobster is to seafood and that might be giving them too much credit. Also employees from this place are always near the restaurant smoking which I find gross.

For a chain bbq, this place is really good. I’ve ate their many times now, and the food is consistently good every time. The rub they use is great, and the bbq sauce is top notch. The meat always tastes fresh like they smoked it that day. I have been to other bbq places in the area, and it’s like they smoke once a week and serve leftovers till they smoke again, so for this general area this is the place to go for great bbq. I went their on a friday, the place was packed, but they still had my order ready in 5 mins. Yes it’s a little pricey, but your definitely getting your money’s worth!

Best BBQ place I’ve tried! My husband and I are fairly new to the area and were looking to try something different. We ordered the pulled pork, brisket, fries, and mac and cheese for delivery. Everything was delicious! The meats were fantastic and the BBQ sauce was some of the best we’ve had! The sides were also impressive! Loved the seasoning on the fries; added nice flavor without being overpowering. The delivery guy was friendly and very prompt. Good arrived warm. We highly recommend Dickey’s! Can’t wait to order from them again!

Food is okay, but your health isn’t worth it. They don’t care about their restaurant conditions, and are happy to create dangerous conditions for customers by allowing hot water to pool on the floor, causing customers to slip and fall, injuring their shoulder, and having to undergo six months of physical therapy. And the owners could not care less. They did not offer anything — not to reimburse me for my co-pay, which cost me a lot. Not even any free food. And they continue to refuse to offer any money at all. I hate to have to file a lawsuit, because that’s a pain in the butt, but apparently they don’t care unless you do. STAYFARAWAY from this place. Your physical safety and health is not worth sacrificing for some BBQ. There are plenty of decent places around to get BBQ where you’re not physically endangered.

I have always LOVED Dickey’s and tell people all the time that they should go until Yesterday. I got the Westerner Sand which with Pulled pork and the brisket. It smelled so good the whole ride back to work. I got to work and opened my sand which and a fly flew out. GROSS. Working full time, I didn’t have time then to drive all the way back and complain. I was so upset. Definitely a waste of my $ 11 bucks.

Had the three meat platter brisket, pulled pork and cheddar jalapeño sausage. Jalapeño baked beans and bacon green beans. Absolutely terrible. Sausage wasn’t cooked and cold in the middle. Both meats were barely warm and had no flavor unless you put their sauce on them. I like to taste smoked BBQ meats. Not sweet sauce. Spicy beans were bland and not spicy at all. Green beans were just ok. I just moved to the area and wish this place was even decent. But I threw most of it out. They hand me the tray of my food and the tray is greasy and sticky. Disgusting place. Avoid it.

Not bad! Good bbq is hard to find in this area. Dickey’s is similar to many of the Texas bbq shacks that Ive frequented over the years while visiting the great bbq state of TX. Stopped in for a Sunday dinner with the kids. If you purchase an adult meal on Sunday, you get a kids meal free. I went with the pork, and brisket. Pretty solid, and the three options for bbq sauce were heated just like in many if the TX establishments. I liked the sweet one the best. The dinner roll was a bit meh but that’s a throw in. Beans were good, as was the Mac n cheese. I wasnt a fan if the soft serve but the kids scarfed it down. Dunno… was just a tad bland for my tastebuds. Ill surely be coming back in with the little ones.

The food was pretty good but the service was horrendous. They encourage online ordering to «skip the line» and save time. When I arrived to the restaurant there was a separate line for online orders. The staff proceeded to wait on everyone in the entire line while I stood and waited at the register. They didn’t acknowledge me until I asked what was going on. After they confirmed my order was received, I realized the food wasn’t even ready. The entire online order process was useless. People who walked in after I did and placed orders received their food before I did. When I got home the orders were both wrong and they didn’t even provide utensils. Again the food wasn’t bad, the employees just seem clueless at this location

Overall, I’m a fan — but this place is overpriced. The ribs are a joke(size, quantity vs cost).

This place is amazing. I currently live in North Carolina and this is the best barbecue I’ve had in years!!!

I’m not big on visiting or Unilocaling franchises but I’m real excited to find a Dickey’s in the northeast. I tried several of their foods 3 years ago in South Carolina at a catered meeting. Every item from ribs to sides were very good. I had know idea if it was a local business or a local chain. But their free souvenir drink cups were smart and I brought some home. I now stumbled across this one in PA and my franchise answer was obvious when I saw the souvenir cup. Brilliant marketing. I ordered a «Crumbled» Brisket Sandwich and it was fantastic! Please come to NJ and I’m going to inquire about franchise fees as I may want to be the first there!!!

Stopped in on a whim and had an awesome lunch. Food was outstanding! My brother had the Saturday sandwich special and he raved about it. He lives in the area and said that he couldn’t believe he’d never heard of Dickey’s. Needless to say I will be visiting my brother more often because of the great food at Dickey’s. Also, free ice cream cones for the road! Hell Yeah!

Not that impressed. It’s a chain. The employees are nice but in my opinion, there’s better BBQ around the area if you know where to look. I will say it was very clean and the people there are cool. It beats the fast-food places but would not me my «go-to» place.

I stopped in and got a sliced brisket sandwich with mac and cheese and coleslaw. For me BBQ is all about the brisket. Dickey’s was really good, I cant comment on the other selections Price wise the meal wasn’t much more then a fast food combo. about $ 10 with drink, I felt it was a good value. Update: Ive been back a few more times to try other meats. There ribs are the best thing they make. I am disappointed by the brisket, I feel it is inconsistent, Sometimes it’s great here and other times. not so much As for sides: Love the fries, mac goes great with the brisket. Coleslaw was inconsistent. Ive gotten it and it was chopped and great, then another time it was stringy and a little stale.

I took advantage of a «buy one meat plate, get the second for free» coupon; obviously a great way to sample some more of their offerings. Here’s the rundown: RIbs — the star of their meat selection. Ham — bland. Avoid. Chopped brisket — Staff encouraged me to choose this over the sliced brisket. Also kind of bland. A fellow Unilocaler deemed Dickey’s the McD’s of BBQ and this is an example why. I’ll try the sliced version next time. Better yet, I’ll ask for a sample first. Polish sausage — meh. Potato salad — good. Eggy yet tangy. Green beans — damn. The best I’ve ever had prolly. They’re thick, sort of like snap peas without the peas. Drowning in juice so I suggest draining before eating. Onion tanglers — very good Waffle fries — better than Chick-fil-A. Well-seasoned. I continue to be impressed with the portion sizes. While Dickey’s doesn’t have the personality or deep flavor of other BBQ vendors, I’m still a fan.

The McDonald’s of BBQ. They do have a self serve vanilla soft serve machine which is a plus, but not enough for me to go here again.

What??? A new BBQ place in my local-ish area and I did not know about it? Once you find this BBQ place in the corner of the strip mall and walk it, the décor will remind you of TX in the same way Cracker Barrel depicts a faux country atmosphere. They had a sign up for their BBQ ham, so we decided to try it — big mistake. The texture of the meat was spongy — not what I expect from my meats. The brisket on the other hand was quite good and even though I had it «chopped» it was moist and delicious. In fact I even had some the next day for breakfast with a fried egg. When you check out there is an odd confluence of technology meets rural America with an iPad to scan your loyalty card. Sides of Coleslaw and Potato salad were good. Still need to try other items on the menu including their sausage and fried okra.

I love this place… Tried it for my first time today. As another reviewer stated, it doesn’t quite measure up to the elite BBQ joints found in Texas, but it certainly is a more-than-suitable PA replacement. I had the Olde Recipe Polish Sausage and sliced brisket meal with a side of jalapeño beans and fried okra. I really like their sides options. It’s quite rare to see fried okra anywhere north of the Mason Dixon line. It’s pretty darn good too! Online ordering makes it easy to place your order for pickup. Creating an account allows for fast processing. I will not hesitate to return to Dickey’s when my BBQ craving comes a-callin’!

Both my wife and I lived for many years in Texas and had easy access to good BBQ. It’s been tough to find really good BBQ in this area so we were excited when we saw that Dickey’s, a Texas chain, was opening up here. Today was opening day so we decided to stop in for dinner. If Unilocal would let me give it 3.5 stars, I would. My wife and I both had the chopped beef brisket platter, which comes with two sides and a roll. Here’s what we thought of our items: Brisket — nice smokey flavor, but meat had more fat than we would have liked. BBQ Beans — just OK. We would have liked a more BBQ flavor. Mac & Cheese — also just OK. Has a thicker sauce to it. Baked Potato Casserole — enjoyed this. A mix of mashed potatoes, cheese, and chives. Fried Onion Tanglers — really enjoyed this. Think fried onion straws. Waffle Fries — also enjoyed these. Crisp with a nice seasoning on them. As for the sauces, they have three to pick from and we went with the original which was good. They also have hot and spicy sauce and a sweet sauce. As for drinks, you get a big yellow cup which you could actually keep as a souvenir keep if you wanted to. They have both sweet and unsweetened tea along with coke products and lemonade. My kids had the chicken nuggets kid meals. They do use processed chicken, but my kids ate it. They really enjoyed the free soft serve vanilla ice cream that you can put in a little cone. Most of the BBQ meat plates range from $ 8-$ 13, which include 2 sides, pickles, onions, and a roll. The sandwiches range from $ 5-$ 8 and are dressed with pickles and onions. For $ 3 more, you can add two sides. When you walk in, you’ll find that it’s basically a long and skinny restaurant. You go to the counter and order your meat and then as you move down the counter, you select your sides, drinks, and finally pay. When we arrived, there wasn’t much of a line but as we were eating, the line got up to 12 deep and it was moving VERY slowly. I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt and chalk it up to opening day hiccups. There are probably 10 – 12 tables to sit at plus a small counter bar area with another half dozen chairs or so. If you are looking for takeout, you would be best to order online and save some time. While this still doesn’t fully remind us of some of the good BBQ we had in Texas, Dickey’s is currently our favorite in the area and we are looking forward to going back soon!
