Small location in Limerick in a shopping center. Looks to be mainly takeout as the dining room is pretty small(though not tiny). We ordered takeout and I picked up. I had the Reuben and my wife had the Western Pit Beef. Additionally we had the large side of mac and cheese and some corn muffins. The sandwiches were terrific. The Reuben was a delicious take on one of my favorite sandwiches. The Western Pit Beef(based on my wife’s report) was awesome too. The sauce was great. Coleslaw flavorful and overall just great sandwiches at reasonable prices for what you get. The mac and cheese was good, not great. At $ 6 for a large side I expected to get about twice as much as we did. This was what kept it from being a 5 star rating. I thought the corn muffins would be disappointing since they were cold. I was wrong. The butter they provide(sweetened by brown sugar or cinnamon or both, I’m not sure) was so good and the muffins themselves were great. Overall a delicious dinner. In the future I will pass on the mac and cheese but I will definitely be visiting again for those great sandwiches.

I heard good things from a couple people so we decided to give it a shot. The prices seemed high, but good bbq isn’t cheap right? We ordered a half rack of baby back ribs, sliced brisket sandwich and mac and cheese. By the way, the ribs are $ 13 for a half rack and $ 26 for a full… I’ve never seen a bbq place not give a discount to get a full rack. The woman working the counter said they only had one half rack left and they they went through 100 racks that day. The ribs barely had any meat on them! The brisket sandwich wasn’t full of meat either and came on a kaiser roll… umm this isn’t a ham and cheese sandwich. Mac cheese was meh. The staff seemed very friendly, but I suggest the owner(s) take a trip down south for some market research. We left feeling ripped off.

Absolutely blown away by the wings here last night! Hands down the best we ever tasted! The waitress told us that they get all of their meat locally, and I appreciate that as well.

Best area authentic Bar-B-Que! Everything on the menus is perfectly smoked, prepared and done right! The first thing you see when driving up is the smokers outside! Friendly and relaxed, informal atmosphere. Excellent ribs, wings, burgers, brisket and more with homemade sauces including an excellent Jack Daniels sauce. Awesome complimentary side dishes and authentic sweet tea(with the sweet on the side so you can add as much as you like)! Phil is the real deal!

Went today for the first time and the food was excellent! The menu board is easy to read and while you’re order gets prepared, you can help yourself to your drinks. The staff is very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. We had a chance to meet Phil and we told him we would definitely would be back. Thank you Phil for a delicious dinner.

Fried chicken is amazing, I don’t ever eat skin on chicken and this was just the most wonderful chicken, fried perfect and skin had the best flavor. We always eat here most favorite BBQ place. They have a location in Collegeville too. Never a disappointment, also try the grilled Ruben with chicken my favorite. Both locations are great …

They aren’t open the hours they say. Closed on a Wednesday at 8:30 when they’re supposedly open till 9:00.

So happy there is a location in Limerick! So many evenings, we’ve said, «I’d love some Phamous Phils, but that drive to Collegeville and back is awful!» As others have mentioned, this is no cheap night out, but I am happy to support local real people instead of faceless chains. It’s great to have the owners on-site, happy to have you try new things and genuinely happy to see you. The smoked chicken salad is unusual and delicious. The smoked meatloaf is a favourite, as is the sliced brisket. The beans are sweet and meaty, and I have a new crush on the Vegetable Beef Barley soup. My absolute favourite would be the Pulled Pork Reuben, except for one huge problem: no caraway seeds in the rye bread. Tender, moist meat deserves bread with a backbone. Good luck in your new spot, Phil and Robin!

This was my first visit. The staff was friendly and helpful. We ate there, the space was clean and had a cute atmosphere. First the lows – don’t order a salad. I questioned staff on contents, but it was basically wilted iceberg and white tomatoes. «Italian» dressing is the white vinegar/vegetable oil kind. Next — be forewarned that the sweet potato fries come covered in some sort of a honey sauce or glaze; we found it to be uncomplimentary. Now the highs– the smoked chicken salad had a really good and different flavor. My husband enjoyed his BBQ steak sandwich, too. Also the side sauces were really excellent. I’d definitely go back– but the star of the show is their meat, other sides and such were lack luster.

We tried this last night for the first time and it was delicious. The homemade smoked meatloaf sandwich was awesome. We will be returning again very soon to try other items on the menu.

Ate their 3 – 4 times and tried different meats. I love smoked food. But this is a place to skip. Ordered a pulled pork cheesesteak and small fries and get like 9 fries. So next time I ordered large fries and that was enough but 6 bucks. Then next time I had the brisket, it was OK but I spent 17 dollars for lunch without the drink. For the prices they charge it should be world class bbq, which is not even close. Plan on spending 15 – 20 for a meal with drink. Their prices are just outrageous. So I won’t go back
