Boss’ Pizza & Chicken

I would have given this place a 2, but to be fair I gave a 3 because I haven’t tried the pizza. My family ordered an 8 piece chicken dinner with potato wedges and mac’n cheese. The potato wedges were good, no complaints and there were a lot of them. The chicken itself was good, but the breading was soggy with very little flavor. The SIZE of the chicken was the biggest disappointment. We paid over $ 25 for the meal and the chicken legs weren’t much bigger than buffalo dummies (see pic). It wasn’t enough for or family of 4. The mac’n cheese was nothing more than boxed Kraft (see pic). We won’t make this mistake again. I’m not a fan of KFC but it’s better than Boss’s.

I’m not sure why I gave this place another shot. The last two times I ordered pizzas from here there was a hair in it. Flash forward a year and I ordered nachos. All I wanted to do was get my fat kid on. I get sent a foil pan of fake nacho cheese sauce that must’ve come out of a 10 lb can… literally the chips were so soggy that emulsified into the cheese sauce itself. A pile of cheese, some banana peppers and lettuce. Except it was all yellow-​orange. No meat either. I’m thinking it was their April fool’s joke for the day… and no it cost me $ 10. I was hungry, now I’m hangry!

I can tell most of their menu is pre packaged and freeze dried. Their chicken tasted dry, and the breading reminded me of old microwaved kfc. The wing sauce was bland. The hottest was weaker than a mild sauce at BWW’s. Haven’t tried the pizza.

I’d be lying if I told you that most of the pizzas were anything to write home about, but with so many specialty options they can’t all be winners. The pulled pork pizza however, is great and their fried chicken is definitely up to par.

This was our first visit to Boss’ Chicken. We ordered calzones which were very good. Generous portions. Those with smaller appetites will have something to take home. The service, on the other hand, gets 1 star. I’d give it less if i could. We ordered water to drink but it never showed up at our table. When our calzones were delivered to our table, we asked which was pepperoni and which was Canadian bacon. The response was, «I don’t know, I didn’t make them.» Very disappointed with the poor service. The service needs to be more on par with the price of the food.

I ordered a pizza tonight for Carry Out & it was the wrong pizza.
When I called the manager, they made it the highest priority to get a fresh, hot, new pizza to me in amazing time.
They apologized for the mix-​up & delivered the replacement free of course.
I’m pretty impressed, it was hot, tasted good…
I’d say you can always judge a business the most by how they handle mistakes and how they treat their customers.
I can’t give these guys 5 stars but as far as Im concerned they earned this 4 star rating.
Good management here.
I will order here again & I would recommend them to anyone.

I had always had a plesent experience with bosses chicken when ordering delivery. Today was another story though. I went to thier store for the first time with a friend who hadn’t even heard of the place so I was excited to show him. Once we get there we were met with 2 cashiers that were less then thrilled to see customers walk in. after ordering and meeting back at a table we both discussed how our cashiers were. We were given plenty of time to talk about it due to the +30min wait for two 3-​piece chicken dinners. The beans were disgusting but the chicken was at least delecious.
Was it worth the Hassel and the wait. Well for the price we had to pay for it I’d say not.

Ordered large meat pizza delivered. It cost $ 25. The pizza is good and I love the chicken but that is a ton of money for a pizza in Lincoln Nebraska. To be fair there was a $ 5 delivery fee but still added up. We used to order the large pizza and 8 piece chicken deal quite a bit. Not sure we will now that prices have increased so much. They deliver to all of Lincoln which is nice but also means 1.5 hours is your standard wait time.

It is what it is! I was in town over night and ordered chicken and beans to be delivered to my hotel. It arrived in about 30 – 45 minutes. The chicken was very good. The breading was perfect-​not too much or too little, and it was not over or under cooked. It was juicy and, I think, deep-​pressure fried. I would order from here again.

First time there. Had the 3 piece chicken. It took about 25 minutes to get my food but it was fresh and hot. The chicken was excellent, juicy and flavorful. Good seasoned wedge potatoes. The beans were just van camps poured out of the can. Friendly staff. Looking forward to going back and trying the pizza.

Boss’ has been advertised in my Facebook feed for a few months so I decided to try it. I ordered delivery and it took at least 45 min to get here, which they said it would. So not surprising but still longer than your average pizza delivery.
I ordered a Canadian bacon, pineapple, cream cheese pizza. It was very good. 4 ½ stars for the pizza itself.
Also ordered the cheese breadsticks and wished I had saved my money. The crust was very thin very dense crust with cheese melted on top and it didn’t come with any dipping sauces. If their other appetizers are good, I would remove this one from the menu. Also ordered a dessert pizza with chocolate sauce. Good, not great. It’s a nice menu feature and I may order again if I feel so inclined but not nearly as likable as the pizza itself.

One of my favorite places here in Lincoln. Delicious pizzas made fresh and chicken that is the best in town. Nothing flashy just great food. They even deliver to 3am so that’s just handy. The menu is extensive as well. From fried pickles to marked anything. You will definitely enjoy your food and there is something for everyone.

Tonight was my first visit to Boss’ Chicken & Pizza. As it was my first visit, I wanted to sample several items so I ordered the Meatsa Pizza, cheese curds, Buffalo Hot wings, and a two piece chicken dinner with potato wedges and slaw.
One of the things I wish Unilocal would allow is to give separate ratings for service and food. The Pizza, Wings, cheese curds, and chicken breasts really were top notch. The entire family commented how good everything was. The menu had many more items on it that I would like to try in the future. For a pizza place, I would have to give them 5 stars.
The place where they fell down a notch was service. I realize the store has been open only a month so I am trying to be generous. When you walk in, the staff at the register seemed a bit…“preoccupied.” They were not warm or friendly at all. The first thing that came out was our pizza. Probably 5 minutes later our cheese curds came out, then 3 minutes later our wings. At that point I asked about my chicken. The waitress said there was 3 minutes left on my chicken. 10 minutes later the chicken came out, my family was done eating and I was served delicious piping hot chicken and got to enjoy my family staring at me while I ate because they were all done. So, definitely, they need to work on getting everything done at the same time.
The ambiance leaves something to be desired. There isn’t much in the way of decoration.
Overall, our family was pleased and we will definitely eat there again, though we may order delivery so that our food all arrives at one time.
