Fun place, excellent food, extensive beer selection! Our server was Brandi, and she did a wonderful job. Dempsey’s is known for burgers, but let me tell you, my Caprese Chicken sandwich was great. Don’t even get me started on the truffle fries – they are rivaled only by the Fire Fries. Huge plus, they have any beer you have ever imagined(and a few you can’t even dream of). Overall, a fun place to go with a group!

Best place to get a quality burger AND fries in town. One of my favorite hang outs after work, and the staff is usually pretty on point.

Great college pub with a good vibe and awesome burgers. I like pretty much all of their burgers, and the sweet potato fries are excellent. This is one of my top favorite places to go eat and get a beer, but the service is super slow so I don’t come here too often.

Went for a business lunch here when I was in Lincoln recently, and it was great! I love the very chill ambiance and décor. We were a fairly large group(10 or so), but in early afternoon on a Saturday afternoon, they were able to seat us right away. The menu is short, thankfully, and I got the impression their offerings change depending on what’s in season, and what they can source locally. I don’t remember what I got, but I do remember that it was kobe beef and it was delicious! Next time I’m in Lincoln, I’ll DEFINITELY be back here. Oh — don’t miss the aioli fries!

Never disappointed with food or the service. Super friendly people all the time. My favorite burger place in Lincoln by far. I’ve tried just about every burger and it’s hard to choose favorites. When in doubt go with the Kobe Burger and sweet potato fries. The only downfall is the price… kinda pricey but worth it.

We took a detour here on our road trip from California to Kansas City and I’m so glad we did. The burgers. fries and dipping sauces were delicious!!! Truffle fries were the best! Duck fat fries were a little salty for my husband but perfect for me. More for me :)

Great food! There have been a lot of new/newer burger joints around town as of late and this one can definitely stand up to the rest. They have a great selection of unique burgers. I love that they have 6 – 7 different sauces to try with your fries. Beware they don’t carry regular out of the bottle ketchup or catsup! If your a traditionalist. Service is a little touch and go, when I stop in for my hour lunch it usually takes 10 – 15 to get service but my food always makes it out in time for me to eat and be back.

Went there last night, had the Picante Burger with regular fries and I was amazed! Typically, when I order something spicy, the establishment usually interprets that as «lets make this inedible with all the heat and make it hard to taste anything other than burning.» But not here, the burger has pepperjack cheese, purée of spicy peppers, jalapeños, banana peppers, hot sauce on request. With all that peppers I was expecting to not taste the burger, but only the peppery fire. Not the case at all. It went well together, it had the spicy kick of pepper, but not overwhelming and overpowering. I love that, the taste of peppers, cheese, and burger without the skin on my tongue being singed off. Granted, I was sweating eating it, but it wasn’t entirely the burger, I blame the partial spring humidity… but the burger had a small hand in that as well… I REALLY wanted to get the loaded fries(I can’t find them on their online menu) because they had everything a loaded baked potato would have, sour cream, bacon, jalepenos, cheddar cheese, and a million other things that would have made them awesome, but sadly I didn’t have the appetite for a burger and the equivalent of 3 loaded baked potatos. I just can’t bring myself to be that big of a glutton… yet. I almost went with the fire fries which were touted as house cut fries tossed in a chili-garlic oil, side of siracha aioli, but not being sure how devastatingly hot the burger would be, I balked, for now. I went with the regular fries, which were perfect. The right size, not flimsy limp, but not overcooked, they were great. The way a good fry should be. Service was friendly, attentive, modern. Food came out lightning fast. They had a beer special going on, with more beers than I can remember, at least two dozen. My only complaint, which is out of anyone’s control and was actually incredibly funny, my water glass had a crack in the bottom and kept leaking on the table, slowly flooding it. At first I thought it was condensation, you know, from the humidity, but after I picked it up, sure enough, it took a leak on me, literally. Again, nothing anyone could have prevented, and it was a running joke through the night for us. I plan on coming back, but first, I’m starving myself for three days, so I can do the Picante Burger AND the loaded fries.

Okay, they finally earned it. One Star. Lured back by the promise of their delicious duck fat fries, I made the error of stopping in for lunch today. What started out pleasantly, with the ordering of drinks turned into a very poor customer service experience. I should have known, based upon our very average service the last two times. Upon trying to place our order my son ordered the salmon burger. To which our waitress replied«we are out of salmon, I’m so sorry. Its the only thing we are out of, I promise.» So my son ordered something else. After waiting at least 20 minutes, about the time our meal should have been ready, the waitress came out and told us they were out of duck fat and did we want something else. Our meal should have been ready(it wasn’t busy) and they were just getting around to notifying us there was no duck fat? The duck fat fries are the ONLY reason I put up with the normally poor service. Never again. Never. I don’t care how good the duck fat fries are, the service here is just not worth it. The only good part was I offered to pay for our tea and soda that we had ordered before we immediately left but the waitress told us not to worry about it. Done. Done. Done.

Burgers are great, truffle fries are great. A bit pricey and don’t go for the duck fries. I still feel sick thinking about them. Also, the burger you order doesn’t come with fries so it gets even more pricey. Monday’s are good for students. Burgers are half off with a Ncard. Dempsey’s is a good spot for a bite to eat and a drink. Maybe shoot some pool. I rarely go just to get a drink. Brat

Good burgers but not great burgers with some unique options. The Thai Peanut Burger is probably my favorite with peanut butter, bacon and a chipotle pineapple chutney on top. This was pretty good. The burger itself looked like a preform frozen patty and it was overcooked a bit when I asked for medium it was medium well. For this I had to doc a star. We also got the Picante Burger and warning to those who don’t like it hot, this has an entire raw Jalapeño cut up and put on top and bottom of the burger plus pepper jack cheese, hot sauce and sour cream. YIKES! The truffle fries are very nice flavor but ours were slightly overcooked. They were dark brown instead of golden color you expect in fries. Dont expect much more than burgers and beer at this place but they do a nice job at it. The service was just ok, and the place was almost empty so that worries me a little but it was the holiday weekend.
