Orchid Thai Cuisine

Orchid is our favorite Thai place in the Rocklin area, service is always good and the atmosphere is very pleasing. Pad Thai and Lobster fried rice are excellent.

Always a good place to eat! Very friendly and attentive staff. The Thai food is as authentic as it comes. That along with fast service and large portions is why I keep coming back.

The food here is really good which explains why they have large crowds even though they moved their location to the outskirts of town. There is ample parking here and the restaurant is larger than its previous location. The inside atmosphere is quite nice and the «zen like» music playing in the background is very relaxing.
Today I ordered the vegetable stir fry with chicken and was not disappointed. It was very tasty and the portion was just right for lunch. I’ve had their curry here before and it is very delicious. So much so that I’ve taken the sauce home just to pour over rice later.
The staff is very friendly and attentive even when they are very busy. Give them a shot, you won’t be disappointed.

We love Orchid Thai! I have a special order that is not on the menu, and they always accommodate me. Once I called in an order to go and even though it was after the kitchen had closed, they made it for me. Fave takeout for sure! Large portions, quick service, friendly staff.

A beautiful Thai restaurant with affordable dinner options, a sweet bar and delicious food.
Located about 45 minutes outside of Sacramento, it is one of the few Thai options in the area… not quite worth the drive as there isn’t anything spectacular that sets them apart from other Thai Restaurants. It is good food, but nothing that you wouldn’t find at other Thai restaurants.
I ordered Basil chicken with their hottest «Thai Spicy «option. The spiciness seemed to be based on the amount of red crushed pepper they added to the dish. The food was delicious, but the number of pepper seeds were insane and made for a crunchy meal.
The venue has sports restaurant feel with Large TVS surrounding the top portion of the walls mixed with a Thai theme of statutes, waterfall, and a bamboo forrest.
Pros: Decently priced, nice options, taste good
Cons: Spicy food lovers may want to bring their own spicy sauce as crushed red peppers didn’t do it for me.

Their food is amazing! My co-​workers and I come here for lunch sometimes, we call in our order and they have our food ready by the time we get there. I always get the red curry… delicious! Their mango with sticky rice is to die for! I tried a new dish, it’s called Pad Phet stir fried also delicious. Tried other thai places but Orchid Thai is the best.

Orchid Thai Cuisine a very beautiful inside with tranquil sounds of nature including running water, and birds.
Once you enter they have a very welcoming atmosphere and smells of thai cuisine that made the date night special.
Customer service was really nice, on top of everything you needed and very friendly. They all had pleasant smiles.
We have not been here in over 3 years, so with the kids out of town we hit the town tonight! And it was a delicious dish after dish! And the drinks were great too.
We started with the pot stickers and they had a crispy pieces of garlic bits all over the tops of them, they seemed freshly made and amazing. Then we had som crab won tons and again fresh made and fried and they were crunchy yet soft. Perfect the best we have ever had anywere. And the plum sauce that came with it OMG! So frign good, bet that would be amazing on some toast in the morning.
Next we had coconut thai soup with choice of chicken, ahhhhh so fragrant with the coconut milk, lemon grass, with green and white onion, plenty of mushrooms, and we made it wiith level of spicy at medium. It was soo good as it has always been. This is our favorite thing here. Then we moved on to the beef pad thai. Yet another homerun choice of the night. The beef was season perfect, tender and delicious, the noodles and flavors inside were spot on.
To end the dinner we had mango with sticky rice and its covered in sweetened condensed milk. Its amazing combination of warmth from the rice and coolness from the mango, we treat it as a desert do to the sweetness of the milk.
For our drinks we had choosen the hot jasmine tea with a wedge of lemon, its smell was amazing and the mood of the sounds going threw the restaurant made you feel relaxed and calm. And we also got the thai iced coffee. I love iced coffee and it also was anither great choice.
To a very beautiful named restaurant, an amazing ambience inside and relaxed and calming mood it made our date night the best!
So glad to have had the chance to come back and everything was simply great from beginning to end, and will be coming back!
Last thing, when you walk in theres a little tank with some blowfish looking fish inside a beautiful looking gold fish tank/​huge urn like shape. The fish almost never stop looking at you. Starts off funny like a staring contest then creepy till you realize they are fake, stuck on a string, watching multiple people amazed then realize what they were, made for some fun laughs!

I’m a sucker for a good yellow curry.
The Pad Thai is fantastic, as well.
They’ve never let me down when I’ve had a craving for good Thai food.

Best Thai restaurant in my opinion. The food is always fresh and hot and served in a timely manor. It’s always delicious and I love the decorations and feel. It’s a great family place too. Highly recommended– i get the Pad Thai every time

I always have heard good things about this restaurant, so I was excited to try it out. My friend, my friend’s daughter and I ate here on a Sunday night. We ordered a few different dishes, the food was pretty awful. We ended up getting sick afterwards, it wasn’t a pleasant experience. I’m guessing it was either the drunken noodles with beef or the Shrimp Pad Thai that made us sick. I won’t be going back here.

I miss Karaōke on Saturdays.

Varied Thai menu suited for all types of palates. Large portions priced right, there’s almost always a full house. Peaceful music makes this a pleasant environment to have a feel with friends, family or when you’re flying solo. Full bar and happy hour available for a longer experience. Best Thai in the area. One of my favorites that I have shared with others and now is their favorite. Don’t miss trying Orchid Thai.

I am not exactly sure how I feel about this place.
Some of the food is good and some is just meh.
I liked the pad thai. It had good flavor and it wasn’t wet like other places.
The pad kee mao was just so so. It needed more basil and spices.
The last thing I tried was the green curry. That was the worst of the three.
The green curry tasted like coconut milk with a hint of green curry.
WTH? Curry is supposed to have lots of flavor. When the coconut milk overtakes the curry, there is definitely something wrong. It almost tasted like Tom Kha. Guess I should’ve went with the red curry. Although the menu states that all their curries are made similarly. With curry and oh yea coconut milk. Too much coconut milk. But hey if you like coconut milk then this is the place for you.
The staff was friendly and I probably would go back to eat something other than their green curry. Just a fair warning not to order the green curry here. Maybe I’ll try another colored curry next time. Oh if you like hot, order hot because the middle heat is not hot.

I have been here too many times to count and have never had less than a stellar experience.
Yesterday my mother any I decided to come here for lunch.
Service was very prompt and courteous. We were seated immediately upon arriving and offered drinks equally as fast. They have a few «Twisted» wines for $ 5 a glass. I have never had this before so I ordered a glass of the old vine zinfandel and it was excellent! The food did not take long at all to come out of the kitchen. We ordered a sampler appetizer of chicken satay, crab wontons, and coconut shrimp. It was awesome. I really love the dipping sauces it comes with. Often times I feel that the food is merely a vessel in which to enjoy the sauces. Not to say the appetizers themselves weren’t delicious, because they certainly were! For the main dishes my mother had the pad prik king and I had the pad see ew (like always) and just like every other time, it was excellent. They have a bunch of dishes for under $ 10 on their lunch menu, it’s quite a lot of food. Considering a meal at McDonalds will cost you about $ 8, this is a screaming deal.
The restaurant is very beautiful and I like the area it is in. Parking is easy.

My husband, mother in law, and I came in for some take out. Tracee was working at the bar and we ordered with her. Medium spicy green beans & chicken, medium spicy asparagus & chicken, and 3 orders of rice. We love the jasmine rice that they use. Tastes and smells so good.
Of course, to kill time, we ordered a few drinks as well. Mom got a glass of Toasted head chardonnay, and 2 Crown & cokes. Tracee asked us how our day was, how our job were going, and told us how she was doing. She is obviously well liked by everyone, it seemed like all her regulars were visiting her! She is so wonderfully nice, it keeps us coming back (as well as the great tasting food, too!)!
The timing was perfect! We finished our drinks, and our food came out! Everything packed nice and thought, nothing leaked… Which is my worst fear when something I order is saucy. We live around the corner, so everything stayed nice and hot until we got home. Yes, it tasted great! Some of my favorite food to order take out from! Can’t wait until me next visit!

The food isn’t terrible. Not the best I’ve ever had. Rum Thai is better down the way.
Just wanted to make a note future customers to CHECK your takeout before to you walk out the door. We ordered green curry but it’s red.

I’ve had this place booked marked for a long time …
Finally came in for lunch today, Wednesday afternoon around 1pm! Thankfully, it is very close and easy drive to/​from Thunder Valley casino lol… I am tired of eating at the casino and this is a perfect new option. It’s in a great area that has other businesses, tons of parking, and we even noticed charging stations for NEV.
BEAUTIFUL restaurant, nice ambiance, RELAXING lovely music, comfortable booths/​seating … and can I say again how lovely the music was… It was so calming that I almost felt like I was in the spa :) They have a full bar, lots of seating, open space, high ceiling for great lighting, and an outdoor patio with Waterfall! I would consider this an upscale Asian restaurant from what I saw in the design and décor. They have a gorgeous jeweled golden dragon/​Buddha display with waterfall which is much better to see in person! Lunch today was super comfortable. Our server was extremely attentive and friendly, Staff working today were on point and excellent customer service!!! If I could give more stars I would because the service, food, and atmosphere today were amazing and made me feel really great to get so much attention! Thank you all so much.

both come with Jasmine rice, the rice was PERFECT, soft, fragrant!
Total spent was about $ 40 and completely worth it! Very satisfied and full belly. I highly recommend this place if you are ever in the area visiting Lincoln/​Roseville or hitting up Thunder Valley casino as I do consistently. This has to be one of the BEST Thai restaurants I have ever been to, food was excellent and Definitely plan on returning. I would like to try the Drunken Noodles next time and Mango ice cream. Another thing we really liked is how they conserve water, and only give you a glass if you ask for it! That is awesome!

So far it’s the best Thai in town.
The Drunken Noodle is very delicious. We also tried PaNang curry and some steam rice. It have a really good flavor of the kaffir leaves which makes it stands out from everything else my wife and me have ever tried.
The service was excellent. They were fast and checked on us couple times to make sure we didn’t need anything. They also made sure that we loved the food which we did.
After all we satisfied about everything, food and service. We had a good time here.
Can’t wait to come back to try something new tonight.
P/​S: fresh summer roll is a good start for your app, and mango sticky rice is a tasty dessert too.

I came here during Valentine’s Day weekend and truly was feen’in for some Thai food! I am always skeptical about first time places but this place caught my eye because of all the good reviews!
It was a big plus for this restaurant to be about 5 minute drive from the Thunder Valley Casino which was where I was staying that weekend so I decided, «why not give it a try». OMG, I am SO happy I did!
As I turned into the plaza, I immediately noticed the restaurant; it truly stands out in the corner and has a outside area to eat! How nice! As soon as I walked in I was immediately seated and the young man brought us water right away. The inside of the restaurant was big and spacious. I am guessing that they turn it into a night event during the evenings; I mean they should if they don’t already!
Great customer service! My drink was always filled and my server checked on how we were doing the whole time.
Everything on the menu looked so good! I wanted to just ask for everything! I started with an appetizer and ordered their Fresh Spring rolls and Crab Wonton! I truly was amazed at how delicious the Crab wontons were! It’s a must try when you come here, seriously!
For the entrée, I ordered the yellow curry and it came with rice, I was happy about that because in the other places that I order my Thai at in Berkeley everything is separate. My entrée dinner was so good that I couldn’t even stop to take a picture for Unilocal!It was THAT good! I must say.
I would definitely be back for more when I come to Roseville/​Sacramento area again!
