Our first time at Slice. Despite the love that most people give, we weren’t impressed. Even though they didn’t have a lot of customers, there was a long wait to get our pizza after we ordered. It appeared that this was because they have a thriving take out order business as well. So, unbeknownst to us, there may have been 20 pizza’s ahead of ours. We ordered the cheese bread which was average. It was very greasy. So greasy that you could see the grease pooling on top of the cheese. We made a tactical error in our pizza selection. The menu board is somewhat confusing. We ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger pizza. What we didn’t realize was the sauce is a different(read ketchup tasting sauce) type of sauce. The pizza was very disappointing. If we had realized that they used a ketchup sauce we never would have ordered it. Overall, we might have enjoyed a different pizza better. But given some of the excellent pizza places in and around Lincoln, I don’t think we will be back.

Tried The Slice tonight. Enjoyed our pizza very much. There sizes larger than most pizza places. I will definitely go back.

Pizza is weak, prices are high for the quality of pizza. I personally think there are better non-chain places in town for your money.

New to town and the kids wanted pizza. This place did not disappoint. Really amazing pizza. Kiddos had a cheese pizza and a supreme and both were great. Husband and I had half pizzas, his pepperoni, bacon, and banana peppers and my half was the Thai. Absolutely amazing. The crust was the best I’d had, perfect amount of crunch and soft. Fresh toppings and really friendly staff! Overall really great experience and great atmosphere. Will be back.

Ordered the taco, supreme & chicken bacon alfredo pizza– super delicious. Great customer service! Like talkin’ to old friends. Not from around the Lincoln area but would make a special trip just for this pizza!

Friendly and quick service at a decent price for lunch. I tried a slice of buffalo chicken and a slice of the special ‘burnt ends’ for about $ 8 after tax. The toppings were excellent but the crust reminded me of my least favorite frozen pizzas where the edge is like a thick cracker. I see a lot of potential and think they can improve.

We were looking for a small Pizzeria for lunch, and we found Slice Pizzeria. The business looks new and everything looked clean. My wife was wanting a Calzone and I was craving a Pizza, so we ordered a small one of each. The service was friendly, but we were told«The Calzone takes an extra two minutes to cook than the pizza.» Whatever, two minutes isn’t bad. My pizza comes out and my wife sits there and waits for at least 10 – 12 minutes, and gets up to check on the calzone, and they were just pulling it out of the oven. We were not quite sure why they couldn’t have started the calzone before the pizza, so they both could have been done at the same time. The food tasted great and the service was friendly, but there seemed to be some disorganization in the kitchen.

Wow I was surprised! The variety of pizzas was vast and quality outstanding. I had a group of 25 including 15 kids. The facility was large enough to handle us easily and quaint enough to feel cozy. The service was great but the flavor of the regular pizza sauce took top honors. We had the Thai pizza, the Alfredo, the jalapeño pepperoni, the Hawaiian, regular pepperoni, and Chicago deep dish. All of them Exceeded expectations. The deep dish was a little runny by still had great crust.

Very friendly staff. Owners personally stopped by our table. Get the cheese bread for an appetizer.

I’m not one to write reviews, positive or negative, but had to let it be known I’m very impressed by Slice. Won’t go into details as to what happened but my first time going in wasn’t the ideal experience. I went and talked to the lady who took my carryout order and she had my problem fixed within a couple minutes such that I had my pizza in hand and walking out the door. She had no idea it was my first time in and I made no indication I was mad or upset, simply thanked her for her help and understand things just happen sometimes. I honestly would have been back regardless of that first experience but realizing that it wasn’t a good experience I was stopped before stepping out the door and offered compensation for the trouble and her sincere apologies. The pizza itself is great and customer service top notch. The combo meals are a great value and a lot for the money. I definitely recommend this become your new pizza place.

We went there last night and ordered a large 16″ deluxe pizza. We sat down and watched the Superbowl playoffs on the big flat screen TVs. The décor is family friendly and looked clean. Service was fast, especially with the many carry-out/delivery orders that were taking place. The kitchen is somewhat visible from the dining area, so there are no illusions. The pizza had a ton of toppings on it, which I really appreciated. The crust is fairly thin, and more cracker-like than doughy. The piece keeps its shape as you pick it up. The sauce was the best part, and I could tell there was fresh, peppery basil in it. However, there was not enough of the sauce! Some of the toppings kept rolling off because there wasn’t a bit of extra cheese to «seal» them down. Prices are fair, as you get a lot of pizza for the money. The staff was very kind and thanked us for stopping in. Overall, it tasted good and the service was good. I think there’s better pizza in Lincoln, but it’s still a decent place.

My family and I eat there often(but not as often as my kids would like). I tried the wings yesterday for the first time and didn’t expect them to be as tasty as they were. I even ordered a second of the Thai while my family ate Buffalo pizza. We always start with the garlic cheese bread. The crust is made like the pizza, I believe the owner said all the crusts are«par baked» which gives them a crisp bottom while keeping the rest of the crust soft or chewy. However its made it is DELICIOUS! Calzones are great, but a little warning I think they are made from the crust of a small pizza, so you better be hungry! As for the pizza, what can I say it is all simply amazing and doesn’t taste like any other pizza joint. From the«par baked» crust, to the anything but ordinary sauce, and the toppings always seem as fresh as they could be, I simply have not had a pizza as good as these(this side of Chicago) anywhere else. The staff is always pleasant and the dinning area and restrooms are always extremely clean. The owner or manager on duty always tries to make a point to come out and ask how every thing tastes. This is not a franchise or a chain restaurant and the service you get is a step up from those places. I highly recommend this place if you are in the area. The food does not disappoint.

I had dinner at Slice with my sister and we LOVED it! We started out with cheese bread and it was delicious. The dough did not taste like any other pizza place i have been to, much better! We also ordered a medium pizza(half deluxe and half hot and sassy). The ingredients were super fresh tasting and there was absolutely no grease at all which I thought was impossible! The portion was more than enough, we each took a few pieces home. My sister got a salad and it was a really good size. I also really liked the fact that I could have a beer with my dinner. Not a lot of pizza restauraunts in lincoln have that available! I also commend the unique pizzas that slice offers! It was difficult to decide which one to try! I was also impressed with their specials! We got our cheese bread for free because it was part of the daily special! Definitely try Slice, it was a great experience and the employees were fantastic!

I have been here a couple of times to pick up pizza to take home and also for lunch. Slice is special because everything is so fresh and the sauce is unlike anything else in Lincoln. Their lunch specials provide a quick way to grab pizza the way YOU like it. You can order up to three toppings on two slices of pizza. Heck you can even order three different toppings for each slice. We have also called and picked up pizza to go. Service has always been professional and prompt. It’s convenient and a great addition to the north side of Lincoln. One last thing. .. every time I’ve been in I’ve been thanked for my business. Not just a thanks or thank you, genuinely thanked. It makes a difference and makes me want to come back.

I’ve been here twice & had amazing experiences. I’ve tried the Hawaiian pizza and the«hot and sassy» pizza, both of which were to die for. My last experience was the most memorable though because while we were enjoying our meal, the owner came to our table, had a conversation with us & offered us each a free slice of smore’s pizza for dessert. How could we resist? It was just as good as the rest. Needless to say I will be back and not just because of the good food but because the owner is an all around good guy who genuinely wants to please his customers!

I went here for lunch and was really impressed with the new eatery. It’s way bigger on the inside than it looks from the outside. The décor is nice with a checkerboard floor and red and white color scheme. Lots of TV’s to watch. The staff was very friendly and willing to help. I ordered the lunch special which included 2 slices and a bottomless glass of pop, all for around $ 8. You can custom make each slice with up to 3 toppings. The slices are the size of small car. You get your money’s worth. Next time I’ll take a pic and post it, yes I will be back. The toppings were plentiful, cheese was great and the sauce okay(needed more though). My biggest complaint was that the pizza wasn’t baked long enough or the ovens needed to be hotter. I want my pizza to come out of the oven with a little char on the bottom, a crunch to the crust and the cheese bubbling. This was not the case. Had the pizza been cooked a little better I might have went with 5 stars. But a solid 4 stars for this new venture. Good luck to Slice!

As you walk in, the red, white and black décor is very nice. It could use something to deaden the sound. The seating/tables are comfortable. We were there on their 2nd day of business. We talked to the wife/owner and she was receptive to our comments. We had Garlic Bread Sticks. Not much more than a flat dough with buttery/garlic salt on it. The marinara was quite spicy. We split a lunch special of 2 pieces of pizza and a drink(plus ordered a 2nd drink). Coke products. I was impressed that the lunch special wasn’t set pizza flavors. It was made to order and you were able to order up to 3 toppings. My husband had pepperoni, mushroom, beef. I ordered green pepper, black olive, mushroom. The food came within 10 – 15 minutes during a lunch rush. The lunch slice was ¼ of a 12-inch pizza. It came out on aluminum(maybe?) pizza pans. The pizza crust is firm enough to hold toppings when you pick it up and nicely browned. It was quite flat – not so much a thin crust, but kind of like a crust that didn’t rise. The same spicy sauce was used on the pizza, but not as prominent with other toppings on it. The beef was the normal beef«crumbles» that don’t really taste like hamburger you’d brown up at home. Few pizza places have that real-style. I used a fork and it was a little tough to cut through.(The fork, in a new business, had uneven tines.) The crust/bread sticks leftovers were even tougher the next day. While I didn’t order the salad, I saw them. They are greener than just iceberg lettuce and I saw cucumber slices. They serve beer. They offer gluten-free. I’m not sure of the care and practice around it. I am interested in trying the PBJ pizza. Also, the dessert pizzas: Bavarian Cream Pizza or S’mores Pizza. They come in whole pizzas. I suggested they consider having a more«individual» serving available.
