Never had a bad experience here. The staff are young but professional and friendly. The food is exceptional, and the prices very reasonable. Very very busy on weekend mornings but that’s understandable seeing as this is the best pancake house in the area. The apple pancake is a tasty behemoth that you should try if you’re feeling brave. The wait time for food is low, the coffee is always filled, and the experience is always positive.

This breakfast joint is a Chicagoland staple! The pancakes are super good. The omelettes are my favorite. The apple pancake… OMG! YUM!

Great food with good service. The only downside is it feels cramped in the restaurant.

I absolutely LOVE their omelets!!! Their pancake comes with the omelet and is great. But the best part is their oven baked omelet. I recommend you to get Santa Fe omelet or Meat Lovers. They are both REALLY good: D

I only gave it 3 stars because 2.5 isn’t an option. I must say, if it wasn’t for the food and ambiance, I would never come here again due the service or lack thereof. This breaks my heart because once upon a time the service was supreme and matched the price you pay to dine here worth every penny. However the last 3 times I’ve come here it is all very clear to me not to come expecting good service. They tried to seat me not knowing that there weren’t any tables available because they weren’t cleaned. I was directed to wait while they attempted to find a bust boy to clean the table. I was sat, and 5 minutes went by with me being passed by numerous waiters and waitresses without one of them greeting me. Finally the guy who sat me asked if someone had been over, I told him no and he had someone come take my order. That was the last time I saw the waiter. The same gentleman who sat me came out with my food and brought it to the wrong table because the people in the back gave him the wrong table number, then about 15mins later after not being acknowledged during my meal another waitress came and dropped off my check. The disorganization, lack of communication, and no sense of urgency will be the downfall of this location. Majority of the staff is just going through the motions barely aware of their surroundings and when you pay $ 17 for an omelette, this is absolutely unacceptable and though this is the closest location to me, I will definitely be going else where. Disappointing.

My boyfriend, who is a Chicago native, really talked this place up and it did not disappoint! Most entrees come with a side of pancakes so they’ve got you covered in case you’re in a crisis of whether to get sweet or savory. They upcharge(less than $ 1) for«fancy» pancakes but it’s WELL worth it. I ordered the Santa Fe Omelet, and they aren’t kidding about it being spicy. It’s not overly so, but my eyes/nose were running a tad. It was so good, I almost forgot about their homemade salsa on the side. I opted for the bacon pancakes, which was by far the best choice I could have made. I didn’t think I could, but I finished my whole meal. We had such a great meal, we went back to another location the next day!

Customer service — the lady who looks like is in charge of the front counter was there to take my order. I believe her name is Suzanne. I apologize for the misspell of the name. Her friendly smile is just beautiful and makes for any customer to feel right at home. She was friendly and patient as she took my order. Today’s review is just a re-review of my interaction with the employees. I hope to get my service from her every time. So, here’s hoping she’s not off next time I come around.

I need three things to love a restaurant. 1. Baby friendly, 2. Tasty food, 3. No wait for a table Pancake house wins on all three. I can’t vouch for brunch/lunch time when I anticipate there probably IS a wait for a table, but for dinner its nice and quiet. We are here several times while in town. I absolutely fell in love with the fall special pumpkin pancakes. My baby likes the waffle and scrambled eggs.

Consistent food and good atmosphere. I’ve only ever ordered the Belgian waffle and I devour that within seconds lol. There’s never been a time where it wasn’t good. Always made perfectly and writing this review is making me get a craving for it! The staff has always been friendly. I love the wood cabin like décor inside too. Overall a great place to go if you love breakfast food like me!

I do get what all of the hype is about this restaurant. We had a great meal. I am so glad I came at an off hour(Saturday at 2pm) so that we did not have to wait for a table. I had decided before we arrived that I was going to order the French crepes with strawberries. Well, wouldn’t you know that the special for this month is 25% off the French crepes with strawberries! Score! The crepes were absolutely delicious. I loved the light orange sauce that was on them. I planned to take a picture but once the plate arrived, I dug right in and forgot all about taking a picture. The hash brown potatoes were the best hash brown potatoes I have EVER had. The bacon is thick cut and very good. Even with the 25% off of the crêpe entrée, the price was $ 6.49, which I thought was a fair price. Without a discount, the prices are a little on the high side. It is a really pretty restaurant on both the outside and the inside. We sat next to the fireplace. There is outdoor seating also.

I really don’t get the hype. Probably the only available brunch area in the north west suburbs in Chicago. The food is overall mediocre and the service is not that great either. I went there with my family this weekend. The place already seems really crowded around 9am, which is kind of early for brunch time. We asked for outside seating. The server brought us drinks. We ordered the oatmeal trio(~$ 6.50), bacon lover’s eggs and bacon(~$ 13.25), and apple cinnamon pancake(~$ 10.25). The Apple Cinnamon pancake is very sweet and cinnamon-y, a bit overwhelming. Bacon and eggs has 7 slices of bacon, and 3 eggs poached?(I asked for sunny side up and they say they don’t do that). Bacon seems very soft and squishy. As for the oatmeal trio, the server forgot to serve the fruits. We didn’t realize that toward the end. When we asked for it, she didn’t bring it the first time, so we asked for the second time. There was also an issue with the checks, which was very confusing for us… we also asked for hot water three times and the server just completely forgot about us. We were very frustrated and unsatisfied toward the end. Wouldn’t really recommend this place.

This review is for their takeout(yeah, who takes out breakfast food… me). My boyfriend and I got Blue Crab Eggs Benedict(~$ 15), Greek omelet($ 10), and Cherry Kijafa crepes(~$ 10). Portions were great. Could probably make 1.5 meals for two people. The Blue Crab Eggs Benedict was a slight disappointment. The crab was decently yummy but the rest of the dish was forgettable. The hollandaise sauce was just OK. The Cherry Kijafa was also just OK. I ordered it without powdered sugar. It still had a weird«donut taste». I don’t particularly like donuts :/. The cherries didn’t taste very good. Okay, the good: the Greek omelet. It was delicious! Next time I go to Walker Bros, I’ll stick with the Greek(if I can avoid trying new things!). The service was pretty great considering how very, very busy they were. They were too busy to answer their phone so we waited in a huge, huge line to get to the cashier. In hindsight, we could have probably asked to cut. Anyway, the manager, I believe, Susanne finally picked up and was so gracious. She was wonderful and got us right on our way. Food came fast too. +1 star because it’s not very fair to review takeout food. You need the full experience!

Ill keep this one simple, Walker Bros is a traditional breakfast place w/no frills which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Location and Ambiance: Multiple locations w/solid ambiance at all of them. Coffee: Solid Food: Exactly what you would expect w/no frills. Staff: The staff has always been nice. In summary, worth a visit. Thanks, Connor Brady

Our large group enjoyed Mothers Day brunch here. Solid service included fast refills of coffee and waters, friendly ordering, timely arrival of food, and check at the ready. There were 9 of us and everyone enjoyed their food, which ranged from Belgian waffles and corned beef hash and eggs to crepes and omelettes. Bigger and brighter than other locations. The only drawback was the annoyed look when I asked the server to take an iPhone pic.

Walker Brothers is always a wonderful choice for all of your brunching-anytime needs. I met someone here for brunch on a Saturday, and because he had to work until about 1:30, we wanted somewhere for brunch that wasn’t closing/rushing people out at 1 or 2(or earlier). This particular location seems a bit bigger than others, so it feels spacious and not annoyingly crowded. I think the high ceilings and lodge-esque décor help!(Though I am not sure about the huge mounted animal head?) Our waitress was nice enough and our food came out a lot faster than we’d anticipated. He got the french toast and enjoyed it, and I went with the old standby, the Santa Fe omelet. It was, as always, perfectly fluffy and full of cilantro and veggies. The side salsa is also surprisingly good. Of course, if you want Coke products, they only have Pepsi products, sadly. Still, it’s a great experience and it’s honestly hard to go wrong with any of their food :)

Did you know that this location has a private party room? I surely didn’t until yesterday… nor did I really know«catering» at Walker Brothers would work — but boy did it. I was a guest at a baby shower here yesterday, and the room was set up perfectly for all of the fun, gifts, and food we could handle. We had one server who was responsible for keeping the buffet line stocked, coffee carafes and water glasses full. Regrettably I don’t have her name, but she was great. I was a little worried about catering here, as I pretty much order one of three things at any Walker Brothers(Danish Garden, 49ers, or Potato Pancakes, all with a side of bacon,) and I never EVER deviate. The buffet line wasn’t so bad! We had scrambled eggs with cheese on the side for sprinkling if you desire, buttermilk pancakes, french toast, bacon, sausage, hash browns, and fruit. Plus coffee and orange juice. I was absolutely stuffed after a zip through the buffet line, and was able to enjoy the rest of the shower with a full belly. I also barely had room for dinner last night! Admittedly, the crowd at this location is a bit uppity — I got death glares for«cutting» in line when I arrived, even though I was clearly holding a gift for a party. Also, mothers were basically parading their children into the private party room to see the balloons and decorations. Are you kidding me? This is not a party you were invited to. Please stop blocking the entrance with your kids, so the *actual guests* can get through. I know Walker Brothers provides kids menus with crayons(at least they used to…) that should keep your child entertained. I’ll have to plan an outing with my sisters to have a breakfast-for-dinner date sometime soon to get my regular Walker Bros. fix.

This place is adorable. The ambiance is really nice. We ordered the Dutch baby pancakes, Swedish pancakes, Apple Pancake, and Venetian Benedict. The Venetian Benedict is really delicious. I was a little disappointed with the Dutch baby pancake, the eggs sank to the bottom or something. The bottom of our Dutch baby pancake was thicker than what I expected and wanted. The Apple Pancake is disgustingly sweet. We ended up not eating most of it. I really liked the Swedish pancake here. It’s very thin and there are some crisp parts. Our server disappeared in the middle of our brunching. We had to wave another server to fill up our coffee. Coffee is good here. Originally, when writing this review I was going to give it three stars but because of how much I loved the Swedish pancakes, I’m upping my star. Even when I was already stuffed, I just wanted more of the Swedish pancake. Yum! The disappointing Apple Pancake and Dutch baby pancake, and the disappearing server didn’t matter as much because of the delicious Venetian Benedict and Swedish pancake!

Be sure to come hungry to this classic breakfast spot or have a firm pact before you arrive to share, as all of their luscious breakfast treats are massive. We had a group of 10 and arrived at 8 am on a Saturday and got in right away which was unexpected. Our group ordered a wide cross section including chocolate chip pancakes, crispy French toast, pecan waffles, egg sandwich and of courses a baked German pancake. The food started coming out after only a few minutes and we dug right in. The food was fresh hot and yummy. A standard order of pancakes(I got pecan) is 6 but you can get a more manageable half order of 3 which is more than enough for most folks. The baked German pancake was about the size of a large cast iron skillet and I think almost everyone at the table had a piece and there was still some left over. They also have extra thick cut bacon(3 strips to an order) and fresh squeezed juices including passion fruit/mango which was good. The entire bill for our group of 10 was $ 111 with food and drink(pre-tip but with tax) so a really great deal considering the amount and quality of the food. If you like breakfast, it is worth trying this place, definitely recommended. When we left around 9:20 they were on a wait.
