Great service great food. Conner knew the menu and knew my needs before I did. Was able to help me decide what to order since it was my first time.

I live here so eat at Fatz quite often. I’ve had a few things(Reuben) that weren’t to my taste but on the whole, the food is quite good. The steaks are good – I usually have mine medium rare, unlike my friend who has hers like shoe leather! Oh well, to each their own. The people here are very friendly and helpful. If you have a problem, you have only to let them know. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone(who likes good food). Forgot to add: Their Old Fashioned Hamburger is as good as it gets! I get it with Blue Cheese instead of Cheddar – love it! I like the new menu except they have dropped the Cobb Salad, which I liked…

Thanks for the toxic wings. Thought I would die! Wow. And bartender closing out my tab at 9 after one beer. Sign said they closed at 10. Guess he wanted to go home. No wonder we had given up on this place.

Bottom of the barrel chain restaurant. Food is usually microwaved/reheated. Service is average. The menu is really an odd collection aside from staple items. There are plenty of non chain restaurants nearby that are worth a look. Keep on driving past this one

All I can say is one of the worst places I have eaten at. Had a salad with chicken. God knows if it was really chicken. Had a funky taste. Service was poor. Would never go back.

I stopped here on the road on business and was pleasantly surprised. I was looking for something quick, but not fast food. As it was past lunch, I figured that this place would be quick and much nicer, which was definitely the case. The biggest surprise was the EXCELLENT service and really, really nice people who made me feel really welcome. Upon entering, they asked me if I had been there before, which I had not. They found me at the bar later and offered me a fresh sample of their specialty, the Calabash Chicken, which was hot and very good. As a result, I had the Calabash chicken salad with sweet vidalia onion dressing and found it to be really good. As I got up to go, the bartender Jess offered me a to-go cup, which I found to be thoughtful. As these kinds of restaurants go, I normally am not too big of a fan, but this place was a very nice surprise in a little town in NC. Thanks for the hospitality!

They served a fresh salad, but topped it with too many unhealthy things, like a ton of cheese, bacon bits and croutons. The bowl of chili was luke-warm. I had to ask for it to be microwaved. After that, it didn’t help, anyway. The chili meat was pureed, so it was like tomato-y baby food. The baked sweet potato was burned, but we could salvage the very-most innards, and we had to ask twice for fresh butter(they served margarine). At the end of a lunch-menu order for three, it was nearly $ 50, with a decent tip(the server was decent). Like someone else on Unilocal said. If you wanna get Fatz. Eat Fatz.

I have ate here twice, about a year or two apart. Both times major disappointment and to high of prices. The management was rude. The last time we went we order chesse fries. The menu said cheddar cheese bacon and chives they come back w fries no cheddar cheese. More like wiz cheese. Also my food was room temperature not hot like it has just been cooked same with the person I came w. Management did take the other plate back and recooked it. But i was still beyond so disappointed.

I can’t get enough of this place. Food is always awesome. Calabash chicken is amazing. I highly recommend the potato soup as well. The staff is always great and so accommodating. Once my mom had to send her steak back because it was over cooked a bit, bit the manager came right over and made it right. And have us free kids meal coupons for both my kids and have us a free dessert. Wonderful people. Wonderful food.

Service and Smiles! My hat is off to Fatz! Walking into Fatz was a young lady holding the door for our entourage. There were eight of us. We were promptly seated at a nice corner table and were served these nice little buns that were warm, lightweight and buttery with cinnamon butter as a side. Our server came and brought us everything that we asked for. Everyone seemed to want something different to drink, but it was understood and delivered. Of course with eight persons there were also a variety of questions and meal choices, but everyone was pleased, although there was some confusion among our younger guest,(the menu wasn’t clear and thus there was a mix up with the sides). There was also a problem with one of the meals, to which the manager sought to rectify personally. A new meal was brought out and no charge was given,(very impressive). Once this young man discovered the occasion for our visit he also gave complimentary desserts. I understand now the reason for the name,(however, it’s probably someone’s nickname) The team worked well together,(I think this is key to success). The food was flavorful. The atmosphere was definitely family friendly and overall a great experience for this Midwestern gal. Thanks Fatz :-)

Comfort food so comfortable you will be ready for a nap mid-meal. Let me just say right off; endless baskets of warm mini rolls with soft whipped flavored butter spread is a great idea and should be mandatory at all restaurants everywhere. I went here with my co-workers as we were all visiting Maiden for the week and had a hard time the previous two days finding good eats in Maiden. We decided to take the short 15 min trip to Lincolnton in order to find a restaurant with enough of a selection to please all of our distinguished palates. It was a little out of the way but well worth the short drive down 321. The staff was welcoming and our waiter was very attentive. Everyone enjoyed their grub and left Fatz and happy. We will definitely be back on our next trip and will be recommending it to our fellow co-workers. Tip: The F on the menu next to some dishes means it is a Favorite. Having ordered a few of these items, we all agreed they were our favorite too!

How can you go wrong with eating a place named FATZ! While I am not, I certainly could easily be at this place. The pictures posted here are too made up and fancy for the place. But I can assure you that you can’t go wrong with damn near anything order from their menu. Much like a Ruby Tuesdays I’d say, but better. I’m relatively certain the Onyum Burger is bigger than my head and has to be mashed down just to fit in my mouf. Nothing wrong about that. Waste some calories on their butter that comes with their mini yeast roll balls they start you off with. In combination, they are quite addictive. Feeling like you want to get fat in a meal, double down your burger for extra goodness. The Calabash chicken was good too. Service is ok. Nothing to write home to Mom about. But overall, the wait staff«served» their purpose and we had an enjoyable family afternoon meal.

How can you not love a place named Fatz? When it is spelled with a Z. Maybe I am just getting old, or maybe I just think to much of Fats Domino or Minnesota Fats or too little of people who cannot take the time to spell correctly(or blame it on their phones when they do not), but the name bugs me. Regardless, Fatz is currently in the process of taking over the casual dining space in the area. It seems like everywhere I go there is a Fatz. Or I hear about them on the radio. According to the web site, they are up to 47 locations, so they are definitely expanding quickly, but they are in no danger of eclipsing your favorite fast food joint anytime soon. As to their food? Decent, but nothing outstanding. Where they really fall short is service. We showed up for a lunch on a nondescript Monday afternoon and while things started off well, they quickly fell apart when our server flat-out disappeared and it took a solid half-hour to get our check and get out of dodge. Totally bizarre. Maybe she was smoking, maybe she went elsewhere to eat, I really wish I knew.

Becky M is totally right — this place is great! The signature chicken is delicious and the steak was fantastic. Loved the special sauce on the Maui Maui and the service was wonderful. Order the big beer — you’ll need it.

Fatz feels very much like Ruby Tuesday or Applebees. Pleasant and comfortable. The offerings are extensive and the prices competitive with other restaurants of this type. Our order is taken quickly; drinks and warm rolls always arrive quickly. However, our meal is usually slow to arrive. Can’t figure that out — even when the restaurant is uncrowded. This Fatz is not a place to go for a «quick lunch.» We usually order salads, specialty tacos or sandwiches, and they are always delicious.
