I love this place, they have a variety of items to choose from and the best daily special menu that has the best prices. They also have live bands and a lot of bikers frequent here. It’s totally worth it.

Zippers is one of the few choices in Lincolnton for a non-fast food breakfast. My wife and I have eaten here before and the food and prices are ok but the service has never been that good, but on 3÷3÷15 it was beyond awful. We walked in and sat down, and it was almost 10 minutes before someone came to our table. When she walked up, there was no good morning or how are you doing, just«What can I get y’all to drank?» She took our drink order and left menus, then 5 seconds later another server came over, again no good morning or how are you doing, just«Y’all ready to order?» I told her no as we had just received our menus 5 seconds ago. After she came back and took our order, we waited a long time for our food to arrive and it wasn’t that busy. But the straw that broke the camels back was when my wife went to the restroom, I flagged our server down to get our check. In kind if a smart-ass tone she said«It’s under your toast basket» as she passed the table without even stopping. To which I replied«Excuuuse Me! I didn’t see it there!» Needless to say no tip was left and this was our LAST visit to Zippers. My wife and I our beyond sick and tired of paying out our hard earned money to be treated like this and it’s why we are eating at home more often than eating out.

A previous Unilocaler had posted a photo of pork chops and eggs with hash browns. That sounded good to me. I walked in through the bar, and the place was easily seventy-five percent filled with diners. There were not many open tables, except for those that seated eight to ten people. I located a vacant two top, took a seat, and waited for a waitress to take my order. I probably waited ten minutes for someone to come by. I placed my order and waited some more. It was twenty-five minutes before my food appeared. I thought about finishing my coffee and just getting up and leaving, but I was hungry. Pork Chop? About a ¼″ thick. Could have used some salt and pepper during cooking. A little tough, just like mother used to make. LOL. What she did to an innocent pork chop should have been illegal, and probably was in Alabama, Mississippi, and West Virginia. I’m «one and done» with their pork chops. *** 2 stars *** Scrambled Eggs? Are eggs, are eggs, are eggs. They were yellow and warm. *** 3 stars *** Hash Browns? The star of the show. Brown. Crispy. Delicious. I would definitely order these again. *** 5 stars *** Biscuit? I’ve had better and I’ve had far worse. They were homemade and not the pop ‘em variety. *** 4 stars *** Coffee? Ditto. *** 3.5 stars *** Hot. Black. Strong. Acidic. Every time that I would get my coffee«dialed in» with cream and sugar, the waitress would magically appear and top off/warm up my coffee, making me have to repeat the process. LOL. Bill? $ 9.50, give or take a few cents. I left a tip, but not as much as usual. The service was slow, and the food was average, except for the hash browns. Décor? This restaurant and patrons could easily fit in anywhere in the USA. There was the obligatory group of eight old men sitting at one table, sipping coffee, discussing politics and how kids these days are all idiots. Some things never change. Lincolnton’s «City Lunch,» my usual breakfast venue, has 100% male patrons. Zippers had a balance of women diners, couples, retirees, young people, etc. Impressions? Aside from the place being in total chaos, the food that I saw looked fairly decent. I wouldn’t order the pork chops again, but the bacon looked good. The eggs were OK. The hash browns were fantastic! The coffee was decent. I even saw a cheeseburger that looked good. They offer a meat and three lunch for $ 5.99, and the choices are abundant for both meats and side items. I saw meatloaf and stewed beef, which are two of my country classic favorites, and every side item imaginable, including deviled eggs. I may try lunch here one day. The restaurant was clean. There is a separate bar. There is ample parking. The prices are reasonable. The food is decent to good. This appears to be «the» place to get breakfast for the locals. I would eat here again, and probably will. My rating should also improve.

Chicken casserole was pretty good. Fried green beans were good. The waitresses were nice. It was a little awkward to hear the waitress behind us grossly flirty with a table full of old men. In assuming the men were regulars given how they were being supper gross with the waitresses as well. My 2 kids were a bit grossed out by that too… because they could hear the whole deal buuut at least the food was decent.

Myself and my family are in and out of this place all of the time. Its the mom and pop place of the town. They have a huge staff for the small restaurant and their menu is definitely not lacking! Breakfast all day, amazing at that. Burgers are the best in town and come after five on Tuesdays through Saturday and have some fresh seafood! Due to all of our sit in fish camps in town going out of business, this is your best bet for a great plate! Only fault, not open 24⁄7! Ought to be Zippers Diner!

Great Breakfast ALLDAY! Converted to a great restaurant from an old Burger King. Very clean and has separate full bar. Very cozy and friendly staff. Also very inexpensive.

Decided to try Zippers out for my breakfast today… This place was slammed at 10:30…its a pick any seat type place. The hostess came over and asked what I’d like to drink and let me know my waitress would be with me shortly. Same kind of food as most places around here, but eggs are eggs. I ordered dry wheat toast, eggs over medium, hash browns, and bacon. I had an unsweetened tea with lemon(lemon juice packets)… I“m not sure what it is, but I think the town of Lincolnton doesn’t like avocados, which is NOT the same thing as guacamole. An avocado is a beautiful fruit that should be enjoyed with all types of food. not just mashed up to accompany chips and salsa. It’s also a healthy fat for your diet… All in all, it was A-OK. The bacon was cooked to perfection, the hash browns a little to greasy for my licking and the eggs cooked just right. They had apple butter, nice addition the jam selection. My waitress was really sweet and apologized for not having avocado’s or Tabasco… whatever, I was happy when I was done. No one there judged me. or gave me funny looks, it was nice. The crowd was fun to watch… tons of different folk all mixed up in one place. The owner/manager was on top of it. A lady at a table next to me ordered chef salad(I bet it would have been better if it had avocado’s on it. HA!) It was huge and looked fresh. Her hubby opted for what looked like a BLT thingy with fries and gravy… I don’t think I will ever get use to seeing gravy on everything… the only time we had gravy in our house was at Thanksgiving. Again, for me, it was A-OK. The bill only came out to $ 5 something… great deal. Oh, they had a drive up window… interesting… I forgot to ask about that. They take AMEX, no wi-fi

Great Home Cooking. Breakfast all day. Two can eat as cheaply as one at Cracker Barrel. Bar specials, live music. Friendly service, good food.

40c wings, $ 1.50 Bud Light cans(we went for the Yuengling — yuppie townies). We got to see a great slice of life in Lincolnton, all housed in the old kids playground of a Burger King — BEATTHAT. After the third Harley burn-out in the car park we decided to have a go and we certainly turned some heads in our rental Town and Country. Thanks Dollar.
