Ahh, North State Books, the place to go if you are looking for a needle in haystack! They have every book you can imagine. It’s one of those stores that you want to take a whole day to peruse. The owners know where every book is, even though you feel like you’re in a maze of bookcases and stacks of books. Their prices are fairly competitive and they have lots of antiques that are a little pricier. I have written a check there, but I don’t know if they accept out of town checks. No debit or credit cards, this store is old school and I like it that way!

Books in stacks and boxes every where, but if you are looking for a good read they are sure to have it. I was in there today and they have been moving some genres around so hopefully it gets more organized. The owners/employees(though I think it may just be a family) are nice and have helped me anytime I needed it. This is my go to for building up my home library.

I love a good used book store. There is nothing quite like that smell of old books. This place has a lot of books, but it is definitely hard to navigate around here. This is the kind of place that is great to check out if you’re on a book adventure. The shelves are completely crammed with books, along with stacks of books pretty much everywhere. The books are sectioned out, and the books on the shelves appear to be in some sort of alphabetical order. However, when it comes to the stacks of books, this is where the organization ends. Most of these books are not even facing the same direction. The shelves are really crammed tightly together. There was a whole section of the store I had no idea how to even get to. That being said, their prices are very reasonable, with a lot of books for less than $ 4(at least the paperbacks). I think this place is cash only, but I couldn’t tell. The staff was nice as well. If you have a little extra time and don’t mind putting in some effort to find a gem or two, this place is definitely worth checking out.
