Applebee’s

Went here for happy hour one weeknight. Drinks and waitstaff were good but the apps were the blandest I’ve ever had at an Applebee’s. Wings and nachos were terrible. Hopefully they’ll get a new chef or someone who knows how to add some flavor. We will never return here. Best to go to Clark.

Steak dinner good, service good. Atmosphere ok (music not overly loud). Bathroom needs lots of attention and carpet needs a THOROUGH STEAM-​CLEANING or, better yet, complete replacement. Table feels sticky and on-​table ordering devices are visibly dirty and most likely very germ-​laden. Would have rated higher with more cleanliness.

Very disappointed. The steak was salty, the vegetables were raw and came cold, the salmon didn’t taste fresh it tasted very fishy. The only thing I enjoyed on my plate were the mashed potatoes. Will never go to Applebee’s again. What a waste of money.

I typically do not write reviews, though I read a lot of reviews. Took the chance and went into applebees in linden nj. That chance was probably the best decision I’ve made. I sat at the bar because I was alone, and the bartender Anthony has got to be the best bartender I’ve ever came across. He made sure everyone sitting at the bar was ok, myself including, he took the time to talk to every person, judging from the people sitting at the bar area I came to the conclusion, they aren’t friends outside of the work place, but they are friends in the work place. I can see why people come back, he’s definitely got a good heart, and seems like the type of person to listen to you, even if his day was far worse than yours. I tip my hat off to Anthony! I will definitely be a regular customer there now.

Had the shrimp and sirloin parmesan. It was excellent. Haven’t eaten at an Applebees in years but glad i did. The bartender Anthony was friendly and talkative.

I will NEVER go back to this place ever again! We waited over an hour for food, that we did not get, and the place was not busy. The spineless manager should be FIRED! He would not speak to us! We paid for our drinks and left.

I’ve been coming to this Applebee’s for many years. This is one of the best Applebee’s around. I never had a problem here with service or food The staff is very friendly and food always good. Very well managed.

As soon as I entered there was a funny smell and had a bad feeling but my mother was starving so I took one for the team. The server was nice and attentive so I gave it one star for that. Other than that our salads didn’t taste fresh and left a weird after taste and so did the burger. I think I will search for another place to eat if I’m ever in the area no matter the circumstance.

I usually don’t write reviews. I went to this Applebee’s last night with a friend of mine we had the worst service ever. The server was very rude and he seemed like he didn’t wanna wait on us at all. I tried to get his attention a couple of times to refill our drinks but ignored us and walked passed us several times and didn’t say a word. When we got our check I asked him if he could split the check and he goes how do you want me to split it. I’m like never mind and just paid it together

My go-​to chain restaurant. I can confidently say that I have never had a bad meal here in the last few years and the service is always either good or great. The staff is delightful.

My first time in a Applebee. We were shopping in the area and dropped in for lunch. The ambience is similar to what u would find at other chains like chili’s or tgif. The chairs were a little worn out and needed cleaning. We ordered the pomegranate and mango iced teas and they were just awful, did not taste the flavoring at all. Refills are not free. The food was fine though. We got the 2 for $ 20 deal and ordered the spinach & artichoke dip, chicken pasta and chicken lime fiesta. Portions are huge and we had to get a box to go.

So this particular Applebee’s has a new manager she is such A wonderful lady she greeted us she just checked up on us it was such a great experience. My last experience was not the best there was a A previous manager who was just terrible. He was just horrible I remember bringing My family that just came from Boston to eat at Applebee’s we had such a horrible waitress we had to complain our drinks were filthy it was just terrible. She had such an horrible attitude that waitress should’ve been fired I don’t know how they decide to keep these people and hire them but that was definitely a red flag we actually stopped going to Applebee’s after a while just today I decided to go back and give it another try with my family and had such an amazing experience thank you for the new management.

I just had lunch at this Applebee’s on Fri. My kids and I arrived at around 12:15. We were greeted and seated promptly. However, I later dropped something on the floor and bent down to pick it up. I saw that that floor was filled with trash. Dirty napkins, straws and other garbages. It just ruined my appetite. Which means they don’t clean the place up at night or morning before opening for lunch??? The foods came out in a timely manner but was cold. We ordered the lunch combo all 3 consisted of the 4-​Mac and cheese. It all cold and way too sweet. When the waitress came with our bill, instead of asking us why we didn’t finish half of our lunch, she was only concerned of telling us where to look for the tips suggestions. I’ll never go back there. Waste of money.

I used to love frequenting Applebee’s because of the simplicity of its food. It was basic American style dining in a homey, neighborhood-​centric setting. Unfortunately now, they have re-​invented themselves and it’s most certainly not for the best. The new «Bar Snack» menu style is complete shit. Whomever engineered the menu was trying to do something that they didn’t need to do, nor had no business doing. All the new appetizers, such as Kobe-​style meatballs, Pot Stickers, Brisket sliders… don’t seem like they really belong. On top of that, they don’t even taste good and are poorly constructed and plated. Not appetizing at all. The only thing worthy trying in my opinion is the Sriracha Shrimp. I’ve had it on two occasions and the sauce is good-​IF they don’t drown the shrimp in it like they did my 2^nd time trying it.
Quality of their steaks has gone down too, and I really didn’t think one could ever mess up a steak. I’m afraid I don’t want to go back there, at least for food.
Sometimes it’s nice to be predictable.

Was here two times already. Service is good. Steak is good. I like the milkshake. That is my favor.

Two thumbs up to manager Gardy at Linden store. Great customer service. He was very accommodating to my wife and I. In this day and age customer service is rare. Grady has it.

The service is very low. Had two apetizers on Tue night @ 11:30. Service was bad bc me and my friend ordered 3 apetizers and after about 30 min we were told they’re out of one of the apetizers. So it takes 30min to figure it out? AND when the waitress told us, they just closed the kitchen, so we couldnt order something else. The place usually fails. Plus I ordered WONTON TACOS. The aftermarh was frequent bathroom visits.

You know they have the usual applebees grub. On Saturday I went and had a good time and found good value in the money spent. A combo meal with a small dessert for an extra $ 1.00. You can’t beat that. It left me full and not tired. The host who took us to our seat was a character but our waitress was very kind.

It really depends on what waiter or waitress you get, familiar faces will treat you well, some unfamiliar faces will prob treat you badly because you know they can spit in your food if they don’t like you.
Update: as I continuously to dine here with friends only because it’s a great place to dine with friends. The food I had recently tried such as Lemon-​Shrimp Dish, which was diced tomatos and cilantro that had a balsamic or vinegar like taste topping the shrimps, along with some rice pilaf, it tasted fantastic.
The thing I didn’t enjoy was the rice, it felt bland, it needed some lemon on there, salt and pepper, also a little more flavor from sautéing the shrimps. Overall, great food. Also I always recommend getting boneless wings, spiciest level if you’re up for it. It’s always and super delicious, I never get tired of it.

While visiting an old and very dear friend, she suggested we grab some lunnch.
Im not a huge fan of chain restaurants but it was not a good time to be a snob about it.
We wanted something quick and cheap… and not from a drive thru. Applebees had their 2 for $ 20 deal where two diners can grab an appetizer and entrée each for the total of $ 20. I didnt want to have such a heavy lunch. The chinese chicken salad looked good, surprisingly.
So i ordered that.
The serving was quite large. ice berg lettuce with crispy chinese noodles, crispy fried chicken, almonds and cabbage with a sweet dressing. This salad was not healthy by far. But dammit, that salad was freakin delicious. I asked for my dressing on the side and was glad i did. With just a drizzle of their dressing the salad was the perfect lunch. (even if it was probably 700 calories).
The service was realy slow. But it was 2pm on a Friday.
