Galema Unique Taste

If I could give NO stars, I would. To start, I work in the restaurant business. It takes less than 15 minutes to make eggs and some french toast. A FULL HOUR after I ordered my food, the delivery driver called to tell me they were on their way and to ask where specifically I wanted my food delivered (I’m at a local airport). I gave her simple but detailed directions to find the airport and asked that she call when she arrived so I could meet her outside. I later found out that the delivery driver was also the owner. She could not follow the simple directions to my location, spoke heavily accented barely understandable «english», and was rude. Nearly TWO HOURS after placing my order and no food. Spoke to someone at Galema who refused to start having my order remade (cold eggs were not something I wanted to eat) until the owner/​delivery person returned from wherever she wandered off to when she left to deliver my food. Order refunded through Grubhub. When Grubhub contacted the restaurant, Galema responded that they could not gain access to the area of the airport where I am located, but there are NO security checkpoints to get to the main building where my directions would have led them. POOR customer service. POOR communication. LOW intelligence. Absolutely would NOT recommend.

Ordered breakfast from here today for delivery and it was perfect. Food came hot and everything was delicious. I had a breakfast platter and home fries. Will definitely walk over one day and try some more things.

It should be a 4.5, but the owner is so nice, it knocks it to a 5. There’s a lot of Haitian food in the menu, but I’ve only had the burgers, because they’re that good! Ask her to make the homemade fries like the guy with the Mohawk likes. Do yourself a favor and check out this place! Honestly!

This is a hidden gem in Linden. Family owned and operated it was a very clean and comfortable place in downtown Linden. I had a burger that was excellent. The owner/​chef prepares everything fresh and from scratch. Linden City Hall should be all over this place. Give it a try you will not be disappointed.
