Another fine meal I’ve gotten myself into. Two eggs, bacon, french fries, toast, coffee, and orange juice all for $ 8 after tax. Great food and a super efficient wait staff. The wafting bacon goodness is heavy in the air as the Sunday morning crowd finally let’s up. If you’re looking for a great meal with a mom and pop feel, this is your place. :-)

This little restaurant has the greatest food! I recently stopped by for lunch and had the Philly Cheese Steak wrap. The meal was cooked to perfection the meat was tender and delicious and the accompanying grilled onions and melted American cheese was out of this world. In parallel the service was outstanding and the waitress vey attentive and courteous. The price was extremely competitive!!! Definitely recommend this place!!!

Always love to support mom and pop places. Especially when they’re cranking out delicious food at great prices. This place reminds me of an old school coffee shop where you see all of the regulars chatting away and enjoying every bite of their food. We usually come here on the weekends for breakfast. The staff is always friendly and the service is outstanding. Most importantly the good is great and the prices even better. If you’re around, check this place out.

Really enjoyed my Gyro omelet. I thought this place had charm and the service was friendly which knocked my rating from 3 to 4 stars. I only tried once so I will have to try a few more times but I do look forward to it as I am a diner person. Keep up the good work!

Hometown goodness brought to life. This diamond in the rough luncheonette is by far my favorite stomping ground. I love the old school atmosphere and the friendly service. If I had a poodle skirt I’d be at home. The owner is a hands on man that makes sure not only employee’s are on their game but that you are satisfied. He walks around and greets all who come in. Everything is made fresh daily and the price, well you feel like your robbing them. Extremely affordable with great portion sizes.

Having moved to Lindenhurst two years ago I always noticed this place and finally made it here on a weekday for lunch with my wife and one year old daughter. As soon as we stepped inside I was brought back to the old luncheonettes that I remember where everyone from the neighborhood passed through, the waitress knew your name and favorite dishes and there was always a guy sat up on a stool sipping coffee while reading the news as if he had nothing else planned for the day. Lindy’s is that place. We were greeted as soon as we entered and sat in one if the booths as a very friendly waitress brought us over a high chair as we scanned the menu. It had all the regulars that would be on most diner menus, but nothing really jumped out at me. My wife decided on scrambled eggs with sausage, home fries and rye toast with an ice coffee. My daughter had a short stack of silver dollar pancakes and I had a chicken gyro. All of it was good. Nothing wrong with any of it. Pancakes were cooked well and fluffy. Eggs were good, big breakfast sausage instead of skinny links were a plus and my gyro was good, lettuce crisp and not wilted, tomatoes fresh, nice tzatziki, like I said everything was good, just nothing life changing. What was amazing was when we received our bill. $ 18 and change for the three plates and two ice coffees. I can’t remember getting out of a place for less than $ 40 so for me the value was definitely there. I’ll defiantly be back and test the menu out to see if there are some hidden gems in there.

Came in on a Friday for lunch and left happy and full. We were greeted right away by the owner an sat promptly. I started with the split pea soup which was thick an very flavorful without being too garlicky. It was served with the traditional croutons on The side, which was a nice touch. For lunch I had the chicken gyro which was very nicely done. Again the chicken was well cooked and flavorful am the lettuce and tomatoes were very fresh. I wasn’t a fan of the traditional yogurt sauce because it had too much garlic for me, but my date loved it. I opted for a ranch dressing instead. By the time we finished the meal of with the homemade rice pudding, I was ready for a nap. The pudding was perfect; thick, creamy and the rice wasn’t over cooked like most rice puddings.

Woah. Why have I never came here before?! Cute diner style place, actually it’s totally a diner. The food is great! We each had a cup of chicken noodle, loaded with real chicken and veggies. I had a large greek salad with grilled chicken and yogurt sauce. SODELICIOUS! Chicken was piping hot, salad was cold and fresh, and the yogurt sauce was perrrrfect. My boyfriend had a bacon cheeseburger cooked just right(medium rare). Bacon was crispy and the fries ahhh. Sort of wish they were open later(close at 6 or 7?). But great spot for an early dinner!

I actually really like this place, its the cheapest place to get a sit down meal I’ve ever been to. The restaurant itself isn’t the prettiest and its pretty bare bones, but the wait staff is friendly and the price is right. If your in the mood for breakfast dishes, I really recommend the mediterranean omelette(omelette with tomato, onions, peppers and gyro meat, mmmm)

Always a great experience, the food is great and very very cheap, and the staff is always very courteous and pleasant. I usually come here about once a week, I really enjoy their breakfasts all day and their chicken platters. The only downside is that the diner closes around 5 – 6 o clock which means during the week we won’t make it after work. The food and service is always fast and great, Steve the owner is nice, and January, Marvin, Alice, and Maria are always extremely nice and quick to recommend things and bring them out super quick. A+++!
