Popeye’s Fried Chicken

Ordered an 8 piece meal and asked for honey mustard. Got 1 little tiny dunker of honey mustard. My entire family will definitely be able to share that, thanks…

If I could give no stars I would! This location is the WORST! Between the drive through– who can never EVER get your order right! And, understanding them– hah! That’s a joke. Today, I found a hair in my chicken– GROSS!!!
Never going back! Save your money and go someplace else!

The chicken is delicious but too bad the employees here can’t seem to get the order right! The saying they screw you at the drive thru must have been created as a result of this place ! GET IT TOGETHER ! I am not paying $ 10 to get something I did not want ! The pathetic part is the bagging ticket reads exactly as you order too bad the employees don’t bother reading it ! And get your speaker fixed !

Stopped in around 10PM on the way home from Rise of the Jack O’ Lanterns. Was craving something a little heavier than a snack.
The gentleman helping me was a little curt with me, but otherwise OK. The chicken was excellent and not greasy at all. Which was great considering it was fried. The biscuit that came with it was very good and tasted buttery and the mac and cheese was decent but probably not super fresh.
I really liked it, and I will definitely go back for some more chicken when I’m in the mood. Great stuff!

This location seems to get a lot of business. It’s decently clean 9 times out of 10, and the food is always fresh tasting. The staff is friendly and very helpful as well. I would definitely return to this location based on past experiences there. Definitely recommended.

The food is prepared well here but this location in particular on more than one occasion do not honor the promotions. I went there to get the beer battered chicken meal and they say we do not have that. And last night I go there and ask for the current spicy chicken tender promotion and the tell me simply «NO» and i say excuse me that say we no longer have that and wake up this this to a popeyes commercial and guess what they’re advertising that right the promotion in which I tried to order last night. And on top of that when I did get the promotion from them a week ago they charged 4.99 instead of the advertised price of 3.99.

Just had it 3 more times. Great stuff. My lips are still burning. Ya baby. Fries really good Mac and cheese always under cooked but all around YUMMY FOOD.

Wow… is there anything better than getting food you’ve been craving, and sitting down to enjoy every bite as your remember it? Damn straight there’s not.
That’s not what happened on this visit to Popeye’s!
Grabbed an 8 piece meal and 2 large sides and biscuits. Opened up the box expecting 2 breasts, 2 thighs, 2 drumsticks and 2 wings… as advertised.
Found 8 thighs. :-(
Now, thighs aren’t necessarily bad… but these were. How the heck to you overcook them? Guess I’m lucky they skipped serving me white meat.
I remember the Cajun rice being better. It had an «off» taste. Rice and beans were fine. Biscuit was the highlight.
Glad I finally got here to have what I remembered as the best fast food chicken… won’t need to visit again very soon.

Great chicken. I don’t like their fries anymore… they seem soggier than usual.
If you’re looking for good crunchy fried chicken and mashed potatoes then get popeyes

The service gets no better, took 20 minutes to get my order right, they don’t have the special of the Month Ghost Pepper Wings which are advertised throughout the store, they are also missing 2 thirds of the dipping sauces.

This place is awesome. I worked at KFC and let me tell you this is wayyyy better. Working in the food industry, i know when the frying oil is new or old and this place always has clean oil. I deff recommend the coleslaw and the cob !!

Popeyes is the best fried chicken on the planet. Love it. Juicy, moist, crispy fried chicken with dirty rice and a biscuit. OMG. I can’t believe it’s a franchise.

When it comes to fast food fried chicken, there’s Popeye’s and there’s everything else. From the fried chicken (especially the spicy variety) right down to the sides and biscuits, Popeye’s is in a class of its own. So good is Popeye’s that when I get the craving for fried chicken, I think nothing of bypassing the KFC location 5 minutes from my house and making the hour round trip ride to Lindenhurst for Popeye’s instead.
There’s really not too many more superlatives to add about the food, so I’ll close by noting this is easily the nicest Popeye’s location I’ve ever frequented. It’s spacious, it’s clean, it’s well-​maintained, and it even has large flat-​screen TVs in the dining area and a drive-​thru. It’s a real gem.
Now, if only they’d open one of these further east…

Seriously, I will never go to another KFC again as long as I have Popeye’s, and I don’t care that it’s a drive to get there!!!
What they need to do is put a location on Deer Park Avenue (rt. 231) since every other fast food establishment this side of the Mississippi is on that road! (even though this location is great, right on the corner of Sunrise and Straight Path) but we totally need more POPEYE’s Locations on Long Island!!! (…if anyone from Popeye’s corporate is listening…)

People shouldn’t be surprised that Popeyes has high ratings, especially this beast of a location! This place is located between Sunrise and the Straight Path next to a Dunkin Donuts and a Dominos. My brother and I saw the butterfly shrimp special for lent on tv one night and we came here the next day. The shrimp is greatly seasoned with a little kic to it, the fries here are always great (not for the heart), and the fish fillets they have are so flakey and fresh!
They got one of those cool Coke machines where they have over 50 flavors with the touchscreen thingy. If your craving chicken or seafood this place is much better than Long John or KFC.

They are a little slower then KFC but that should sway you.
They also have the Coca-​Cola combiner that lets you choose thousand of drink combinations.

Crispy, not greasy, fast food chicken? Who woulda thunkit?!
The place is pretty clean, especially for a fast food joint. The biscuits, oh my freaking G-​d, so buttery and delicious. It is a little more pricey than regular fast good, but the chicken strips are sooooo good. I’ll definitely come back!

POPEYE’s
Ahh What can I Say… Just look at the picture, get the keys, get in the car and go…
I eat like there is a famine coming and Popeye’s had me covered.
Spicy chicken was Awesome, Fries =Crispy not greasy, Popcorn shrimp just right.
They also have like a million flavors of soda and flavored water for us who like to think we eat healty.
Staff was patient and friendly, Bathrooms were good, parking is aplenty. There is a drive-​thru.
Seating is chic, open, sunny an nice.
So stop reading, go enjoy, burp and be merry.
Let me know how the slaw is, forgot to try it :-)

I’ve always liked Popeye’s and it’s been awhile since I visited one. This particular location is relatively new. Situated at the corner of Straight Path and Sunrise Highway (route 27), its large door and plate glass let lots of light into the airy feeling restaurant. A quick look around revealed relatively clean tables and one of those cool new coke machines with the touch screen. Although healthy options like grilled chicken can be found if you scan the menu, the thing to get here is fried chicken, obviously. So with a grumble in my belly and a smile, I order 3 pieces and red beans & rice. Everything was delicious and even better then the last Popeye’s I visited near Hofstra University. Food was hot and fresh tasting, service was quick and pleasant and even the bathroom was very clean. I will be back to this location.

Finally got a Popeye’s near me instead of driving to Uniondale. The only thing that is bad is the full feeling in my stomach from eating too much. Gotta love the fries. and the CAJUN RICE! I usually get the chicken tenders, but I have gotten the sandwich before and it is pretty good. The atmosphere is nice no tables on top of each other. The Glass doors and high ceiling give it even an Art deco look.
Plus the soda machine with flavor shots can give you over 100 varieties of different sodas. Grape, orange Vanilla, Rasperry Cherry shots.
All in all GOOD EATS!
