I moved to Lake Villa a little over a year ago so I needed to find a place that does a good no chip mani nearby (I am picky!) I’ve been going here and they do a great job every time! Plus, their prices are very reasonable!

I go tanning a few stores down and I thought this place would be great. I thought wrong. I have had them do my nails a few times and every time I go in. yes its later in the day but not to the point where they have to be irritated that I showed up which I give them well over an hour before they close. They will watch the clock, look to see if anyone else comes in while they are trying to do your nails. Don’t feel like they care about you when you go in nor are they personable to you and I hate that feeling.

First let me say that I can only get polish changes because my cuticles get open, painful sores after anyone cuts them. I have been here 3 times for polish changes. First time — Robert did an outstanding job on my polish, but barely shaped them. I just assumed since my girl in Palatine did them the week prior that they were still in decent shape. Second time — Not so good. Third time — went in there with badly shaped nails because they all broke due to the winter dry air and I had to file them, so they didn’t look good. He didn’t shape them at all! Just barely touched them with a file, but buffed the crap out of them (not good for the nail). And polish job was not that great either.
My girls at Ladies Nails in Palatine gave me wonderful polish changes. For $ 8 plus my $ 5 tip, they shaped the nail, pushed cuticle back, and always polished beautifully. I might have to endure the hour drive next time for some good service.
P. S. Do not get your eyebrows waxed at this place. She did a horrible job! I was almost in tears because I was standing in wedding that weekend. 2 totally uneven, different shaped eyebrows… They aren’t set up for it. She can only get to one side as the bed is against the wall. You can’t match the brows if you’re looking at each of them from the same angle.

You should not send people out your door with ugly nails. Now I have something to show people when I tell them your salon is not good.

My sister and I called this place at 3:30 on a Friday afternoon and asked if they could accommodate us for 2 pedicures and they said to come on in. When we arrived, they were already filling the foot baths for us. The polish selection seemed a little limited (I’m still not 100% sure, but I think there may have been more colors that weren’t displayed well).
The staff was very friendly and very helpful. They were engaging and skilled (a good foot massage is the best part of a pedicure, in my opinion). The prices seemed normal if not a little high for the treatment we received ($ 27 plus tip for each of us). I’d give this place 4.5 stars if I could (but not 5 due to the color section and the prices), but all in all, the quality of the staff makes this place worth checking out.

I haven’t had a good pedi in a while but today I did. This business was not busy but they seemed ready. Great massage along with good scrub and soak in nice hot water. The girl I had was very nice and made me feel right at home. Thank you! I needed it and not the cheapest, but certainly not the most expensive $ 27.00. Worth the funds!!! I’ll be back!
