The address to 3 Deuces is completely wrong. 3030 Warrenville Rd is the right add, but theres no sign around to let you know that 3 deuces is there. As long as you are at Sheraton Hotel, you got the right place. I went during dinner and to my surprise, we were the only ones there. The waiter was attentive, food — ill be back, even the water was glacier.

I enjoyed 3 Dueces; took my wife there to celebrate our 11th wedding anniversary. We had reservations for 5 pm and got there at 5:15 pm. There were several wedding receptions going on in the hotel where the restaurant resides as well as a convention going on, so it was very busy around there but the restaurant was closed. We finally got to a bartender that had a waiter open the restaurant for us. The waiter took very good care of us and was very attentive and personable. The food was good especially the red beans and rice and pork chop. The rolls that were served were excellent with the jalapeño butter. The only thing that was not so good was the sauteed vegetables which came to the table lukewarm and was not seasoned. Also, the ribs had been precooked and had a very hard crusted glaze of BBQ sauce. Not bad but I would have rather had cooked to order ribs. We took dessert home; Bourbon Pecan Pie. We were given a very generous piece but it was only so-so. Nothing spectacular and it was very sweet. The entire 60+ minutes that we were there, no other guest came in so we had the place to ourselves. All in all, I enjoyed the restaurant and the service. With a certificate for $ 25, we paid only $ 45 cash plus tip. Not bad at all. I recommend 3 Dueces!

Had Groupon coupon. Had crab cake for appetizer. Very good. Bayou Chicken was their special and it was good but a very small chicken breast… much too small. Husband had ribs and they were just OK… sauce was very good, however. He ordered the spicy cole slaw and then wouldn’t eat it as is was too weird and spicy. He liked the beans and rice. Dessert was the benyays(sp??) and they were good with ice cream. Very small restaurant but very comfortable. Very good service. Will go back.

Went to dinner at 3 Dueces, had a groupon(expired) and finally used it. The place is in a hotel, hard to find where it is at, and was completely empty on a Sat night. That was because of the 4th of July weekend, and was kind of concerned due to that. However when we got our food I will say I was completely impressed. The entire dinner was aweome, and my girlfriend and I will be back. We love going to Moe Joes in Plainfield but this place gives them a big time run for their money. Just need to make sure people know how to get to the restaurant. That is their biggest issue

I decided to give it a try since I stayed at the hotel it was located in. The food was over priced I could’ve caught a cab to the danada square for better food. Service was good. What I ordered was the Southern style chicken salad. It said it came with lime chicken what I got was fried chicken bone in with 3 onion rings a top romaine lettuce. For the price I paid I could’ve gone to McDonald’s for a cheap salad.

I have very mixed feelings about this place. I found it on a Groupon so I wanted to try it. After I called to make the reservations for 8:30 on a Saturday night, about an hour after I actually wanted to eat, I arrived and was asked if I minded sitting in the bar. So I can’t comment on the actual service and décor of the restaurant itself. That being said by this time it was way understaffed. It took a solid 25 mins to get out my appetizer which consisted of a lukewarm crab cake that in it’s defense tasted very fresh and filled with crab and had a very good remolade sauce accompanying it. The greens in the salad that were served with it could have been better and some of the greens in it had wilted. The Bayou Chicken signature dish was very good. The chicken was perfectly fried and crisp and the sauce was quite nice. It came with broccoli that was steamed to perfection as well. The downside is going back to that understaffed part is that they only had the one bartender working the bar area. So many tables were left with the dishes not cleared down and I went through a couple of long stretches before she came back over to my table. I would like to try it out again and sit in the actual restaurant, but the $ 41 Ribeye makes me a little nervous, especially considering the mix of quality that I had at my meal and the not so great Service

I had the taste for Cajun food, and came across a $ 25 certificate on , checked out the menu, and bought the deal.(The menu is rather small, but usually it indicates that a place will only have to focus on the quality of a few items, which to me is a good thing.) The restaurant is located in the Lisle Wyndham hotel, and in order to reach the restaurant, you need to walk through the lobby, and through the bar. It is located in a separate room just off the bar area. The décor is simple, lighting very low, with candles on every table. I think they were going for an intimate setting, but you still know that you are eating in a hotel restaurant. I’m really not sure if there is any way to completely mask that. Our server, Karin, was great. She was friendly, engaging, and very familiar with the entire menu. From the beginning to the end, she kept our water glasses full and our plates cleared from the table. Food and drink varied from dish to dish. My husband and I ordered entrees and shared them, and well as different sides. The French Quarter Martini was good, although rather sweet. It was very similar in taste to a Hurricane, just severed in a martini glass. We ordered crab cakes for an appetizer. The cakes themselves were absolutely fantastic, a large amount of lump crab meat cooked perfectly on top. The two cakes were presented along with mixed greens with remoulade drizzled on top. I was not a fan of the the remoulade, since it was very salty. The red snapper entrée really was not that good. We ordered it blackened and grilled. There was not even a hint of blackening seasonings, and it looked like it had been broiled instead. Also, the fish was rubbery and quite chewy. The Bayou Chicken entrée made up for what the snapper was lacking. An airline chicken breast served over dirty rice, and covered in a thick, light brown almost gravy-like sauce. It is hard to describe the flavor, but this was the favorite of the two entrees. We had different kinds of sides to share as well. The red beans and rice were standard but good. The Cajun cole slaw was my personal favorite. I love cole slaw to begin with, but add the Cajun spicy kick to this creamy concoction, and I fell in love! The spicy smashed potatoes, really were not smashed. They did not have that almost mashed consistency. They were more like oven roasted, slightly pressed on potatoes, and lacked any spice at all. For dessert, the begniets were delectable! I know that they are nothing but fried dough, but they taste so damned good! These were paired with vanilla ice cream and a dab of whipped cream. The coffee was fine, nothing special(hotel coffee) but the desert ended the meal on a high note. I am glad I got to try out a new place, but I’m not sure I’d return. For a bit more money, I can easily go to Papadeux or Heaven on Seven for a bit better of a Cajun experience.

I am guessing this little place is brand new. This seems to be a side project of the Union restaurant. My friend and I went on Chef’s night, Wednesday. Special menu of small plates& dessert for 25 $. In the end we didn’t get it because not everything appealed on the special menu and they didn’t do substitutions on that. We did order some appetizers and entrees off the regular menu. Everything was quite good and flavorful but not 100% authentic. I find it funny that Cajun is so high priced in Chicagoland. We were given a complimentary dessert because the one my friend ordered wasn’t in stock and our waitress didn’t know it. Not the greatest waitress, seemed very green. They were pushing that they have coupons out there and I would say use them and try this place. Small and in a hotel so if hotel is busy it could be busy.

Found this restaurant on Groupon so we gave it a try. It’s situated inside the Wyndham Hotel. Not too hard to find from the entrance. You’ll see a bar area and you just need to head towards a little room in the back. It’s really small. It’s a hotel restaurant so it’s to be expected. The ambiance was a little weird to say the least. At least when we first got situated. The menu is cajun/creole. Or Louisiana comfort food from what I gathered. Our server was attentive. Took our orders fairly quickly and checked back often. We started out with warm biscuits and a side of Jalapeño butter. The biscuits are delicious. I asked for a second order and our waitress came back with two biscuits and said that they’re baking more. I order the red fish, my mom and brother ordered the blackened shrimp fettuccine, and my stepdad ordered the Jambalaya. The food was pretty good. Nothing out of this world. My fish was a bit rubbery and the pasta was a bit too creamy for my tastes. We ordered the beignets for dessert and I just about died and went to heaven. It’s pretty simple really. It’s just fried dough dusted in sugar and served with a side of ice cream. Like funnel cake except«meatier.» When we asked for our check our waitress came back with a bag of «goodies» and it was a few extra biscuits to take home! I didn’t even ask for it, so that kind of won me over. For the four dishes and two desserts the total was about $ 109. With the groupon, it was $ 50 off. I’d say it’s a bit steep for what it is. Just a couple cons about the restaurant: 1. Really small. Really feels like a hotel restaurant… if that makes sense. But it does kind of give a «homey» feel about it. I mean, it’s attached to a bar area so they might expand into there if they have a lot of customers, but when we got there at 7:30 there were only 3 other groups. 2. Not many options to choose from the menu. I don’t know if this restaurant is relatively new, I forgot to inquire, but its menu is only one side of a sheet of paper. If you’re just curious about their menu they have some kind of event on Wednesday nights where it’s a flat rate of $ 25/person and they serve you little dishes from their menu to try and sometimes they’ll add in some«chef inspired» dishes as well.
