Speedway Gas Station

This place has the absolute slowest diesel pumps. There are only two, and they are usually blocked by cars getting gasoline. When they are available, it takes over five minutes to fill my 30 gallon tank.

I know we’re talking about a gas station here, but it’s on my way to and from work and I come here quite often. The cashiers here are always friendly and helpful — one guy told me I’d get a better deal by buying a slice of pizza as opposed a frozen one. They also let me know about my speedway rewards points and what I need to get a free ice tea, etc. I recommend!

I consider myself to be a «Speedway aficionado» since I have been to over fifty Speedways in at least four different states, so…
Service has been consistently good with some rare exceptions. It can get busy/​crowded at certain times of the day, but the staff are usually quick to respond. Fresh food from the roller grill and pizza are always well-​stocked. The Speedy Freeze and soda fountain machines have been upgraded and are usually well-​stocked. The coffee, cappuccino, assorted cold drink, and refrigerated areas are also usually well-​stocked and maintained. Counter and floor surfaces are kept clean and well-​tended. The outside parking area and filling station areas are regularly checked and kept clean.
The recent expansion was definitely needed, however, space in-​between the display areas is still a little narrow. You might have to walk around the other way if a patron is lingering at one spot. The bathrooms are generally clean and well-​maintained, however, I have bumped my shoulder against the poorly-​placed hook on the back of the door several times. On my last visit it was still there even though I have brought it to the attention of a manager several times.
This location is great for access to the I-​355 Veteran’s (North-​South) Tollway, EXCEPT when returning to the tollway. Making a left turn is dangerous during busy rush times times of the day!
This is the closest Speedway to where I live and one of three that I frequently visit. Gas prices at the others are always less since they are not located next to the tollway.

This Ogden avenue off the highway location has been my go to fuel up spot for a couple years. Although gas prices suck, I have learned that pumping slower in the fuel world allows for maxium performace. By performance I mean more squirt for your dollar. And by more squirt for your dollar… okay I will stop there.
The fill up tire gadget thingy is bad @ss! All digital reader makes one look forward to a low tire air indicator light to appear. Mucho fun.
