Also known as Puretone Audio, since they sell some audiophile stereo equipment. This is a great place to pick up vinyl — one of the few true record shops left, and in Litchfield of all places. They’ve got racks of records to dig through: some jazz/​blues, a lot of rock, a bunch of indie, and a decent selection of CDs and SACDs. The prices are really reasonable and pretty much the same you’d pay online. Karl, the owner, is a good guy to talk music with, too… A bit out of the way, but worth a trip.

Woodbury, CT
This place may not be easy to find, and the hours are iffy, so it’s a good idea to call ahead to confirm hours of operation, and maybe get directions. While it is on the main road, it is located in a building with another business, so their sign may not be readily visible. Other than that, it’s an interesting shop filled with vinyl and cd’s and carries a line of Rega turntables amps, speakers, etc. Nice.
