If you know anything about good pizza you will hate this place. In. Reality they don’t have pizza. Its an open face sandwich. The crust is pre cooked, the sauce is too over seasoned and the cheese doesnt get a chance to be cooked to golden brown and delicious because of the precooked crust. I would give zero stars if i could. It makes me sad that people think it’s good pizza.

My review is inspired not by the food but by the rude behavior by the bartender ‘serving’ us on a Saturday afternoon(long hair, bad teeth)…he was miserable and had a horrible attitude… my girlfriend and I left after two drinks… I do however, love the concept of records on the wall and the carved ‘Obama loves Isis’ in the men’s room

Really cool little spot. We were driving by and from the looks outside decided to stop for dinner. The place has a hole in the wall type feel and the décor looks like a teenagers bedroom. The ceiling is covered in old record album covers and it feels sort of damp. We got a table right by the fire place which added a nice feel to our meal. The pizza was great. We got a special, the Criss Cross. Oh and the pizzas are all themed just like that. The toppings were generously piled on and the they were delicious. Overall, if you’re in the area, stop in for a special pizza.

I’ve eaten at Bohemian many times in the past but never again. I ordered the mac and cheese and was enjoying eating it until I got what I thought was a hair in my food but turned out to be a huge clump of hair all baked in with the cheese. It was so disgusting to know that I had been eating something filled with someone’s hair. Besides that, the place is rundown and dirty with filthy old seat covers.

On all of God’s Green Earth, there is no song I detest more than«Bohemian Rhapsody» by Queen. When I hear that sucka on the radio, my hand moves at the speed of sound to change the station. But I’m here to say that my prejudice against the Rhapsody didn’t affect my judgment when it comes to the Pizza, because I absolutely LOVED Bohemian Pizza. The décor is quite trippy, with hundreds of record album covers on the walls and ceilings, leopard print booths, signs with inspirational sayings peppered about(Love you yesterday, love you still, always have, always will), a wooden Indian, colorful chalkboards, a fireplace, and a huge ceiling mural of a Pizza Super Hero. Our server was a delight– sweet as could be with a great personality and attentive. After she brought the bill, we told her it was our first time here and she literally lit up and told us about all of the other foods on the menu. What a great ambassador she was! And now on to our lunch. We started with a 12-ounce bottle of Pegleg Imperial Stout and a 16-ounce can of Johnny Appleseed Hard Cider -$ 4.75 each. They served a complimentary loaf of fresh bread with a seasoned dipping oil that had two garlic cloves swimming in the bowl. A very nice touch that tasted great. We split a Caramelized Pear Salad, «Baby mesclun greens topped with caramelized Bartlett pears, gorgonzola cheese, & toasted almonds, served with red wine vinaigrette on the side.» The large is $ 8 and the small is $ 6. We got the large and inhaled it. This was a terrific salad! The greens were fresh and crisp, the caramelized pears(BTW, when have you ever seen those words before?) were delicious and silky, and the dressing and sliced almonds were the perfect complement. Pizzas are one size, at a base price of $ 14.95. You can add on ingredients or try one of their specialty pies. There is a choice of three sauces(Red Tomato Sauce, Ricotta Base, or Pesto Sauce) and individual slices are available, which is nice. We ordered a tomato sauced pizza with portobellos and sweet Italian sausage. The pizza was as massive as it was outstanding –8 big slices of perfection. The crust was as thin as a saltine cracker which is fine with me. I hate wasting calories on puffy pillowy pizza crusts. The sauce was excellent– great bursts of tomato flavor with no bitter spices. The sausage was great– big thick slabs. Absolutely no skimping here. But the star of the pie was the cheese. It’s hard to explain, but it seemed quite a bit thicker, cheesier, and«stringier» than I’m used to getting. Whatever the reason, it was wonderful. We loved every minute of our Bohemian encounter, and hope to be back soon to explore the rest of the menu. They have all sorts of pub-style starters like nachos, quesadillas, mozzarella sticks, three kinds of fries, and a rarely seen Pierogie plate. Main dishes include burgers, pastas, wraps, and burritos.

The food really delicious. I had a burger and my husband had the Margarita pizza. Burger was done to my liking and things came out fast. My one complaint is that the place was so dark inside it was hard to read the menus or see what we were eating.

this review is purely for their Pizza Margherita. It was awful. Frozen-pizza quality dough. Sickly sweet sauce. A couple dollops of low-grade mozzarella. A couple pieces of basil which when combined with the sweet marinara, was really quite bad. I would recommend getting the pizzas their with lots of toppings. I’ve actually enjoyed the more wacky pizzas(maybe i was buzzed). But they simply cannot and should not do the classic Margherita. I like the place and the vibe for what its worth.

I came here with my other half for a lunch together on my day off. I knew as soon as we pulled up that this place was unique. He has been here with a friend of his on several occasions. I saw that there were varieties of salads, apps, burgers, sandwiches and pizza that you don’t usually see most other places. I ended up with«The Squealer», a 6 oz hand-formed burger served pink or no pink with pulled pork and frizzled onion rings on top. It came with a choice of fries or mixed greens. When it came out it looked huge with a healthy portion of salad greens as well. The burger was juicy and cooked perfectly. His wrap looked good, too. We finished it off with one of their signature cupcakes. We had the Heath Bar crunch flavor. I can’t wait to come back and try their other items, too! The pizzas look interesting.

No stars for the bohemian had to due one start just to post review. Let me just say there is a stop & shop up the street go there get a celeste frozen pizza you will enjoy it more. To call this place a dive would be a improvement. Christmas light hanging inside, the bulb in our lamp was out. This place is a old hippie joint. They decorated it while tripping. You have been warned go some where else. I suggest a little cleaning the fan has about a inch of dust.

This would not be considered my typical venue. It’s a halfway point between one of my editors and myself, and he was the person who originally suggested this as a meeting spot. Admittedly, I was a bit put-off by the appearance of the place, but I got over it. Let’s talk about food. It’s damn good! From their pizza(love thin crust!) to their wraps, to their specials, everything has been close to perfect and comes out at the correct temperature. My only fault is I’ve yet to try a dessert — only because they are sold out before I can order one. I need to get there earlier in the day. My other criterium is service. I have no problems there. The servers know us by now and are happy to leave us alone until we call for them. We’ve never felt rushed or had the servers push us to order. They will give us a heads-up before the kitchen closes if we lose track of time. All are extremely cheerful and friendly, and will stop and chat if we ask them a question. They know the menu and specials and are quick to make suggestions if asked. The bar needs to be experienced — words won’t do it justice. There’s a wide range of patrons, just as you would expect from a neighborhood watering hole, skewed more towards tradesmen and younger hipsters. Just about every inch of wall space is covered by old record album covers. A jukebox provides music, usually drowning out the two televisions. While most of the beer is in cans, there are some surprising finds on the bar — a couple of top-notch single batch bourbons hidden behind the normal swill, for example. The crowd is friendly, and they don’t judge. A big plus is that the restrooms are clean — you wouldn’t normally expect that in what many consider to be a dive bar. Go for the food, stay for a while drinking at the bar. You won’t regret it.

The wife and me stopped in this past weekend to grab a bite. I had heard mixed things about the place. We ordered some wings, a pizza, a couple of beers and a glass of red wine. It was… just alright. The wings were the best. Pizza was okay but nothing to write home about. My first beer was cool. The second one was cold. The place was dark. We needed our phones to read the menu. Once I turned my phones flashlight on I used it to check around where I was seated and noticed a few cob webs in the corner next to me. I mean not a huge deal but our bill with a 20% tip came to $ 60. For that, I’d just as soon eat elsewhere. Sorry but it’s the truth as I see it.

Amazing! My fiancé and I ordered wings and the Green With Envy pizza. The pizza had the right amount of everything. It was cooked to perfection. The pizza had ricotta cheese, basil, mozzarella cheese, zucchini, and bacon. Absolutely delicious. The wings were crispy with the right amount of spices. The atmosphere was quaint and unique. The walls and ceiling are covered in album covers, loved it. It was unnecessarily dark but was barely lit with Christmas lights. I will go there again just to try some of there other pizzas.

Bohemian Pizza is great for what it is — a dive bar/restaurant with quirky décor, graffiti, inexpensive food and drinks. If you live in the Litchfield area, you know that these things do not co-occur often. First of all, let’s be honest, the place is a mess — it’s a fun mess with a seemingly disabled hippie limo parked outside with plants growing through it, a sign that looked like it’s seen better days, and record covers of people you’ve heard of in stories from your parents gracing the walls. There is a LOT of graffiti on these record covers from patrons — and it’s ridiculous, sometimes lewd, and incredibly funny. It’s not a place you’d take your business associate, or go to be wowed by culinary delights, but maybe a place you’d hang out with friends for a couple of hours, have a pizza and drinks, laugh with the servers, and have a great time. I’ve never been to the bar side(«Ditto Bar») but Bohemian is fun… and their truffle fries are great.

Had a chance to FINALLY bring the 13 year old boy. The only one that had yet to dine here. I took away a star because the arcade game that the kids love to play while they wait wasn’t working and the dead flies on the sill at our table. Other than that it was business as usual. Kids loved their ridiculous portions and Jason and I tried the Macaroni and Cheese pizza. Sooo decadent and good. Much better than anticipated!

After a wine tasting at Haight Brown, we were in the mood for some pizza. This spot had been mentioned to me by a friend, and it was super close to the winery. On the drive over, I saw this cute little place all lit up with Christmas lights and said«Look at that place! I want to go there! Oh– that’s where we’re going!» Needless to say, I was smitten with the appearance of the exterior, and felt exactly the same about the interior. It’s dark, divey, quirky and kitschy, with old records lining the walls and a canoe on the ceiling. Totally my kind of place. We went with a simple cheese pizza, and it was pretty solid. It was super cheesy, and the crust was good but not exactly crispy, which caused me to eat the first few bites with a knife and fork. I know, there’s something blasphemous about eating pizza that way, but sometimes it’s for the best. Instead of continuing with wine, I went for a Pineapple Martini. Pineapple is my favorite and I just couldn’t pass it up. It was garnished with a huge pineapple wedge that had been soaked in vodka. Are you kidding me?! It’s like they knew I was coming. Yay! I’m a fan and I’m sure I’ll be back when I return to the area.

Bohemian Pizza is a dive. A glorious, near-perfect dive, with all the postives and negatives that go along with that designation. I love dives. My mother used to call them«joints,» which may have been a more appropriate name given the recreational predilections of the staff at near-perfect dives. Here are the characteristics of a perfect dive: 1. Outsde — Organic architecture. You can’t fake the funk. If you started with a modern steel box, you aren’t going to get there. The building should look ramshackle, old, lived-in, maybe on the verge of falling over. 2. Inside — Funky, eclectic décor. Something you weren’t expecting on the walls or ceiling, like, say, a vintage ice racing sailboat, a collection of Ernest Borgnine portraits, live turtles. 3. Staff — friendly, but in the words of Johnny Rotten pretty… vacant. 4. Welcome — Your first impression should be «What in the world am I walking into? Am I welcome here? Is this place a front? Which of these people work here?» That should quickly be followed by a hearty and genuine welcome from whoever actually does work there, or their friend who is just«hanging out». 5. Food — surprisingly fresh and good. Bonus points for intelligent graffitti, clean bathrooms with creative and sex-appropriate décor(like vintage pin-ups and classic Hollywood beefcake). Extra bonus points for extended spirit collections, live music, bathroom markings that make you think before opening the door, and a bar that opens hours before food is served. BP covers many of these bases, and scores a few bonus points as well. Pulling into the gravel lot, you are presented with two doors — one for the bar, one for the restaurant. In fact, both have access to the same dining area, which sits on either side of a dual hearth with the kitchen at one end and the small bar at the other. The building looks like a 100 year old bungalow that was built to last 25 years.(#1, check!) The restaurant entrance essentially drops you in the middle of the open kitchen, where staff and friends are splayed out on various chairs. One of the corps will generally speak up «Sit anywhere you like»(#4, check!). The dining room is ringed by cheetah-draped booths with a few tables in the middle under a low roof, with a cold-killing intensely burning fireplace in the middle. There are two old canoes suspended on the ceiling(roughly 100-yo wood-canvas canoes which long ago lost their canvas, if you care. I do.) The walls are papered with 70’s era album covers ranging from Linda Ronstadt to Sinatra.(#2, check!) What few bare spots remain have been painted with unattributed bon mots such as: «Opportunity is missed by most people, because it comes in overalls and looks like work.»(That’s Edison, btw, and it scores a bonus point!). The bathrooms are deceptively clean(at least midday on the weekends, I suspect the late night crowd might treat them unkindly) and have enough on the walls to pass the time(another bonus point!). There are trivial pursuit cards on each table to pass the time between ordering and chow time. Service is a little clueless, but to me its part of the charm. Our waitress was flummoxed by my wife’s questions about the 25-deep beer list, finally admitting that she wasn’t 21. Let’s be clear though, if you are the type that will seethe while waiting for a server to notice your glass is empty, rather than hop down to the kitchen hangout and ask, then you might get frustrated. The overall vibe is a crew of staff that want to do a good job, but somehow can’t quite pull it off. All that is forgiven when the food comes, anyway. We tried the Chicken fingers, the Mac and Cheese, the Caesar salad, the special corn chowder soup, and a «Italian Stallion» pizza. Every dish vastly exceeded expectations. Soup is a bellwether for a kitchen. It takes time, knowledge, and care to make a great soup, so if your meal starts out with a great one, you know the meal will be excellent. Definitely true here. The salad was fresh, perfectly dressed, with nice croutons, the chicken was fresh fried and was served with crisp fries. And oh, god, that mac and cheese! Rich and creamy with smoky bacon in every bite. It took alot of willpower not to finish that off.(#5 check!) The pizza is excellent as well. But lets be honest — this is pizza, the greatness of which is in the eye of the beholder. As I say, pizza is a religion and converts are rare. If you have a crust style you like, and this ain’t it, then you’ll be disappointed. I found the crust dry and sawdusty, but I like chewy crusts that are charred in coal ovens. You may love it. I did, however, love the sauce, which is mild but flavorful, and the cheese and toppings, which are top quality and generously applied. There was even a large-ish layer of chiffoned fresh basil. My wife summed it up best: «Whoever cooks in this place really cares!»

A staple during our breaks at summer camp. The food here is really good. Crazy about the pizza! The atmosphere here is very interesting. It has a biker bar feel but at times I feel like it’s trying too hard. It’s really dirty in here folks, the bathrooms are atrocious– try to keep that out of your head while you eat. The wings are good, the nachos are terrific and I am a really big fan of the pizza. The service is not great here. Waitress forgets things and often disappears. I prefer to sit by the kitchen so I can watch food prep and, if I see that our food is sitting in the window, I’ll try and make eye contact with someone in the kitchen so that we can get it. So yeah, if you can get over cleanliness and poor service for some terrific food, give this place a try
