Church’s Chicken

Was first told that I would have to wait 3 minutes while the cashier made mashed potatoes. Cashier returned 4 minutes later to say it would take an additional 11 minutes for chicken. I asked to speak to the manager on duty and the general manager came to the window. After discussion she agreed to comp my drink and small side and I parked in front of the store to wait. While waiting I checked my receipt and realized I was not given the price advertised on the main road signage for the 10 PC I ordered. I walked into the store to let the manager know about the mischarge and she told me that the special advertised was no longer valid and it is not their policy to give the discounted price once the promotion has passed. Even after I explained that it’s just good business to honor the price that’s advertised, after all its not my fault the store is advertising an old promotion, the general manager said the store is franchise and therefore not regulated by corporate policy.
I asked for contact information for the owner since there is, according to the general manager, no district manager and was told that I could not have the information. Went to the Church’s website, and the site is down.
With all the options for fried chicken, that I shouldn’t eat anyway, I would think the franchisee and the company would try a little harder.
