Enterprise Rent-A-Car

I don’t even know where to start with this review. This place is a joke. First off I called a day before to be picked up and they told me they didn’t have anyone available so I pushed my vehicle pick up time back an hour to 1:00. When i got there the vehicle wasn’t there. I was told it would be there in 20 minutes. It took 45 minutes to get there and it was a vehicle I wouldn’t be caught dead in. I reserved a standard size SUV and they wanted to put me in a Dodge Journey. To me its not a midsize SUV. The one bright spot in this fiasco was Assistant Branch Manager Jeffery Evans. He actually went out of his way to get us a vehicle. Kudos to him. It was a Jeep Grand Cherokee with all the bells and whistles. They took their time washing it while listening to the stereo in the vehicle blaring loud music. The vehicle was still filthy when they finished. I got it home and had to clean it up myself. It was equally as bad when I went to return it. When i got there they were helping other customers but when one associate finished instead of acknowledging me he went behind the counter to goofy off. One of the associates who was on the phone had to tell him I was there. It took over 20 minutes to drop it off. Needless to say I won’t use this company again. I’ll go back to Avis

Customer service was great, HOWEVER the car that I was given was dirty and it reeked of smoke. It smelled like an ashtray. My wife had warned against going to that location because she had a rented from them before and the car was dirty. She was right and I was wrong about this location.

Love the team here… I am not a regular but do use when I have to travel out of town, although I have had problems with the car it self the guys are always friendly and helpful.
I had a flat tire in SC last year and when I call Enterprise for assistance I was basically told I was on my own to fix, they did not offer roadside assistance however I was able to secure my own roadside assistance and get the car to Firestone and replace the tire which in turn was billed to Enterprise. (The tire pressure light came on while I was still in GA)
The next time I rented after that I didn’t even make it out of town before I had an issue in which I had to take to another tire place to get it serviced which was somewhat of an inconvenience as I was in a hurry to leave town.

I will preface my complaint by stating I have never had any major issues with Enterprise at any branch prior to February 13, 2015…
My initial issue started with an old customer rewards card I had from Enterprise which happens to be dated. For starters, I spoke with four representatives, the first of two being at the local office in Lithia Springs. At the suggestion of the agent (s) at the Lithia Springs location, I contacted the corporate office and had them book my reservation due to the agents at the local branch being unfamiliar with how to enter pricing for the rental. Upon arrival to the branch, it was discovered my «free weekend» notes were not entered in the system correctly. I was also told by a manager (John C.) that he would validate my rewards card, however, I would not be able to take advantage of the promotion on a holiday weekend (Valentines Day& Presidents Day).
Another rep (female) advised John C. (who was on his way out for the day) that she would assist me from this point. Still perplexed at the «holiday» restrictions associated with the promotion, I inquired about the amount needed to secure the rental on my major credit card. I was told $ 250.00 plus the amount of the rental which was somewhere near $ 450.00. I didn’t have enough on the major card, and the complexity of using a debit card was more than I was interested in doing. I advised had I been given the info upfront, I would have secured the funds on my major credit card prior to arriving and was now under time constraints (car reserved for 5:00, branch closes at 6:00).
I left the local branch in an effort to make a payment via Western Union to my credit card and immediately discovered I had not been given back my rewards card. I returned to the office two minutes later and asked the (female) rep for my reward card. She replied she had given it back to me. I advised she had not and that John C. last had the card because he was going to validate it. She then paused and took a 10 second look at one of the keyboards behind the counter to see if the card were lying there. Once realized the card was not in view, I suggested the camera be challenged by reviewing the tape. I asked her to speak with John, but was told he had already and that I could call him. Um, excuse me, is that not your duty? Not only was the comment annoying, it was certainly unprofessional. I then questioned how were we going to remedy the issue. She responded by stating she would put in writing that I had a free weekend rental. Okay, I now have a card which states (in red ink) that I am entitled to a free weekend rental, no holidays. I then ask for her name and she replies «Camilah Campbell, branch manager, it’s on the card». I’m really feeling the passive aggressive, nice, nasty demeanor with a hint of sarcasm by this «manager» who in my opinion needs additional training in customer service. Let me add the card is signed John Cox, which in my opinion isn’t valid, but let’s see what the next level of action will bring about…

This location has the friendliest staff and they get you in and out quickly. I definitely enjoyed my rental experience (the car was clean and had a full tank ready to go) with this branch and will be sure to rent from them in the future!

Don’t drop your car off without doing a run through with staff. The area is busy and you leave yourself open to damage that YOU will have to pay for. If you get a car from here just say no to the drop-​box option, especially on a Saturday. What happens while it is parked at their office you are responsible for and they have no mercy. Trust me, I am paying for that lesson now.

Really friendly and helpful people but they need twice as many people working there since it is so busy.

I spent more time than I would ever want to at this location recently, dealing with a car repair debacle. They really helped me out, particularly Erica, who does the «we’ll pick you up» job, and Javaris (I hope I got his name right), who put me in my 2^nd rental in a week.
I observed a lot while here that made me think this is a hard job. People are awful when renting cars. I heard the dumbest complaints from other customers. Therefore, I’m cutting them a break with 4 stars. They maintained their smiles and helpfulness through the constant chaos, and they were working very hard to turn over cars coming in and cars going out.
I really feel like they need more staff to do a 5 star job. They seemed stretched thin and there was a lot of waiting involved on my part. I do think, though, that the employees I encountered were doing their best with a crappy situation. I loved both of my rental cars — a Kia Sorento and a Nissan Altima. Both very nice!

A few months ago, I was involved in a minor fender bender and wanted to pay out of pocket for the other party’s car repairs. Of course, this meant that I would have to cover the cost of a rental car while the car was in the body shop for two days. After a quick online search, this Enterprise Rent-​A-​Car just so happened to be the one that had the best rate — $ 32.64 per day — for an Economy class car and was located pretty close to the body shop.
Before booking the rental car, I called this Enterprise Rent-​A-​Car to ask for a rough estimate of a total for the other party to rent an Economy class car for two days. The other party had to make the reservation using their own credit card and wanted me to pay them before doing so. To make a long story short, they needed to add an additional driver, which costs an extra $ 10 per day. Additionally, there’s a $ 150 refundable deposit which you get back on the day you return the car as long as there are no additional charges. Chris, the employee who assisted us, was helpful and accommodating to the fact that we were not going through insurance.
After the rental car was reserved and the other party had their additional driver pick up the car, everything seemed to go smoothly. That is, until the body shop notified me that the car *may* need to be kept in the body shop for an additional day. I called Enterprise and asked to speak with Chris, who was familiar with our situation. I was informed that he was busy at the moment and was asked to hold. I was on hold for over ten minutes, then hung up and called back. The employee who answered again was not friendly nor apologetic about the fact that I was kept on hold for so long. She simply told me that they were incredibly busy. Eventually, I ended up speaking with someone other than Chris, but they were completely confused about the reservation and unhelpful.
Fortunately, it turned out that the body shop did not end up having to keep the car for an extra day. However, I was later informed that the other party’s additional driver had added optional insurance to the reservation. Somehow, this increased the total cost for a two-​day rental of an Economy class car to $ 130+, well over $ 60 per day. Being unfamiliar with everything involved in renting a car, but I thought this was craziness.
Overall, this Enterprise Rent-​A-​Car gets 3 stars for doing an «OK» job of answering questions and helping me over the phone. I actually never stepped foot into their office or even looked at the car that they provided to the other party. However, during the one or two times I was able to speak with Chris, he was informative and helpful. I would have appreciated if the other employees I had spoken to were as courteous. Since this Enterprise location is located pretty far from me, I probably won’t be utilizing their services again. However, I was thankful that I was able to get all the information I needed to take care of the other party’s rental car via telephone.
