Tasty Delights Wings and Fish

So even as I type this review Im trying to decide how to rate this place.
Hopefully I will have made a decision by the last sentence.
Ok so lets break this down the easy way… Food, Service, Conclusion.
Food: :
Very yummy. I ordered the fried fish and 6 wing combo, hubby ordered the wings and fries.
Every thing was cooked to order. The fish had a coating on it that made for a great layer of yummy seasoned crispiness. The wings were fried just the way I like them. Although I did ask for them to be fried hard, I have a thing about soft chicken skin. The fries were seasoned, hot and not overcooked, this is always a plus as some places want to either overcook or undercook your fries. Everything tasted delish. I was hoping that my food was not soggy by the time we made it home however they did punch holes in the Styrofoam box to keep that from happening. The prices are pretty reasonable and inline with most of the other places that sell wings and things. They had a few desserts on the counter, one being a red velvet cake that looked to be homemade. I wanted to try a slice along with the fresh made funnel cakes that they advertise however the service we received wouldn’t allow me to spend any additional dollars, I’ll touch on that situation in the next paragraph.
Service: Now this is where I have a few issues. Now let me just say im about as laid back and relaxed as a person can get however I never let manners and just the sheer essence of being courteous escape me. When we arrived there were no other customers in the restaurant. We walked straight to the counter only to be stared at by the young man with the hair net covering his braids standing at the counter. No hello, no… is this your first time here… nothing. Just looking as if he was angry that customers walked in only to interrupt his afternoon. Ok so hubby was ready to walk back out but me wanting some good olé fried fish gave hubby the side eye and nod to say… lets just stay.
We begin to just place our order, no response from angry man behind the counter.
We pay for our food… wait …they have dessert signs everywhere but no offer of dessert or suggestions. ok angry man is really not here for this today.
No thank you or come gain or even kiss my grits. Just angry man handing me the food once it was done.
Conclusion:
The food is great and I would love to support this business however they must do something about the person taking the orders and dealing with customers. I cant see myself handing over my money to someone who cant at least speak.
So for now because of angry man, I’ll give them a 3. Im a sucker for small businesses.
