Capitol Bistro

I popped into this place with a friend for a quick lunch and that’s exactly what we got. We both had a sandwich and soup and it really hit the spot. We were in and out with full stomachs and pleased taste buds in no time at all. The place is kind of tucked away and hidden but it’s worth finding this diamond in the rough.

If you’re in around the Capital at lunch time this is a great spot. On nice days they offer patio seating which provides areally plesant break from sitting at your desk! Great Food! The Caesar Salad is excellent along with the Fiesta Turkey wrap and the BLT. Daily specials kep the menu interesting.

I didn’t even know this place was here, but I went recently with an associate, and thought it wasn’t a bad place for a bite and a chat.
For a counter-​service establishment, I thought there were a lot of choices, many of which looked pretty good. It’s a small «joint,» but there is outside seating for the times of the year in Arkansas when the weather is enjoyable, and the view of the Capitol is a nice feature.
I ordered the tuna salad, but they were out of tuna that day, so I went with the chicken salad on sour dough and chips. (They have the «good» chips there.) They give you a number and you can choose your table while you wait for your food. You know the drill. I ate about half my sandwich. It was loaded with chicken salad, and I couldn’t eat the rest of it. But it was good.
They have little table tents with Bible verses on them, which I thought was interesting, since they are located so near the seat of government for the state. I do not care for this kind of evangelism, but the food was good.

Good lunch option. Has a decent size selection of sandwiches, soups, & salads. I tried the BLT (minus the T) with chips, and my friend had the chicken salad sandwich with pasta salad. With water to drink, we both paid around $ 7.50/each. The restaurant is small, but they do also have outdoor seating.
