Ate there for my first lunch in town while I was unpacking boxes. Sandwiches were great! The grilled cheese sandwich has amazing, the pesto added a lot to the sandwich. The caprese had amazing heirloom tomatoes, my only complaint was that it was on French baguette, so the bread to caprese ratio was off, if it was on the ciabatta or another bread it would have been amazing! Definitely will be returning many more times!

Rude… act like your bothering them! Apparently they do enough business to ignore customers. Can’t give much more of a rating as I walked out after 10 minutes of feeling like I was a delivery person waiting on a signature.

Just stopped in for lunch — I am now obsessed. Most delicious tomato-basil soup I’ve ever had in my life and the sandwiches melted my face off the H.A.M. And the pressed prosciutto both get my vote!!!

This place is fantastic. You can feel and hear the staff behind the counter talking and explaining the cuts and preparations to customers. Care and respect for the ingredients.

Meat!!! H.A.M. Is a one of a kind experience in Little Rock. They carry the largest array of charcuterie, locally sourced meats, house made sausages, and worldwide acclaimed prosciuttos/serranos. The list goes on and on! Knowledgable and laid back staff will always help you find exactly what you need. You can also get a tasty sandwich or soup of the day!

This isn’t a deli it’s a joke. They have okay sandwiches the prices arent great. You’re better off somewhere else. But cold cuts are good if they’re not on your sandwich.

I really like their sandwich options here. For Some of them, the bread gets in the way(Bresaeola) because there’s not quite enough meat on the sandwich, but for the HAM and the Brick-pressed Prosciutto, man it is fantastic– especially if you ask for it pressed! A hint of Olive Oil, lots of meat, some warm cheese… It’s so good. I also like their lentil salad in lieu of chips. Unique, tasty, and much more filling than a generic bag of chips. It’s expensive. Expect to pay $ 10 – 12 for your sandwich once tax is included. This is the only reason I don’t rate them higher. You could really get a solid lunch anywhere in Hillcrest for the price they charge for their sammies. Regardless: the people are super friendly, it’s got a great vibe, fast service, and most importantly: great food!

Small, somewhat quirky little store that sells interesting food products, from homemade meats to locally grown shiitake mushrooms the day I was there. It’s clear they support local food producers, which is important to me.. The staf was friendly, service was quick, and most importantly, the sandwiches we got were awesome! We especially liked the prosciutto, tomato and fresh motzerella sandwich on a baguette. The turkey Swiss cheese sandwich was also good, with real fresh turkey — not that pressed, filler– stuffed junk you can get at the grocery store. I loved the option of a lentil side dish — something healthy, and tasty too with a light dressing. Will definitely be back.

We came to Little Rock for a few days and were craving a good deli sandwich. We used Unilocal and found HAM. Boy are we glad we did! It is very small but the people were friendly and the food was delicious! We both had the muffuletta with the lentil side salad. I don’t think I’ve eaten a better sandwich! If you want a great sandwich with great service go here. If your looking for ambience go here and take your sandwich to go as it is close quarters.

Had a H.A.M. sandwich with chips and an Abita Root Beer. Was great food. My friend had a ham & swiss that he loved. I will definitely keep this on the top of my mind for sandwiches.

Awesome locally sourced meats, cheeses. And other stuff. The filets from here just always turn out awesome! All different kinds of freshly made sausages and butchered meats. A number of delicious sandwiches for lunch. Never had a bad one here! Very friendly staff and Brandon the owner is a very knowledgeable«meat man»! I highly recommend it!

Today was our lucky day! H.A.M. was busy today. When we walked in they only had enough bread for 4 sandwiches. Everything we had was amazing. Next time I might skip the sandwich and go straight for the charcuterie. The meat was so special and the bread try to steal it’s thunder. The staff was welcoming and very helpful. The shelves are lined with local food treasures. The cases are full of delicious meats. This place is a gem!

Real food. Real good food. Friendly people. This place gets my vote hands down. All sandwiches and meats are phenomenal and the soups melt my face off too. Skip the fast food chains and opt for this place.

An asset to ‘da Rock. I asked for a half pound of «duck ham»(smoked duck breast), but the proprietor assured me a quarter pound would be enough. Then he cut it beautifully into paper thin slices, which were amazing on the toast with guac appetizers I made later. The ground beef looked freshly ground and excellent as well, as did the sausages. Go give these folks your business.

Had the Grilled veggie sandwhich which arrived ummm Not Grilled which threw me off. Although tasty the word grilled should be removed if none of the ingredients including the bread never touches the grill and is served cold!

I was a bit apprehensive moving from Santa Monica, CA to Little Rock until I met Brandon at HAM. This settled me in and I must have stayed over an hour snacking on fine meats and cheeses. Just a wonderful find and my favorite butcher in the city.

I’ve picked up some sausage that knocked my socks off. I’ve had their meat trays at events and Stone’s Throw and it’s always amazing. HAM knows meats, I always feel intimated when I go in because I know nothing… but always walk out with my mouth watering and something good.

Tiny, yet darling little restaurant in historic Hillcrest. I’d been wanting to try this place for awhile, and finally had the opportunity last week. The place was very busy, but the staff was continually pleasant and efficient. I opted for The H.A.M(aka club), which was a darn good sandwich. The meats and cheeses were excellent! The bread was pretty hard to chew through, but that’s to be expected with ciabatta-esque bread. The only negative I saw was that they were offering their Friday special — the famous HAMburger. However, by 12:30, they were sold out. Since this has gained a lot of publicity– and is clearly a fan favorite — I would expect them to plan to make enough burgers to last through the lunch hour.(This is just a personal observation, as I don’t eat hamburgers, but noticed many disappointed patrons.) Overall, great food! Great local company.

Trust. Its such a hard thing to earn, once its gone, its gone. I saw some ground lamb in the display case, I mentioned to the proprietor that it looked brown. He said that it was because they didn’t pump oxygen into the tank to keep the meat oxygenated and red and assured me that it was fresh. At a place that I didn’t implicitly trust, I would have asked to smell the meat. I didn’t. Mostly because I believe that anyone that claims to be a craftsman should pay attention to the quality of his products, I actually thought it’d be offensive. I went home and unwrapped the package. I sure could smell it then. It was vinegary and brown all the way through. It was slimy. How could an experienced butcher have made a mistake like this? Before this experience, HAM seemed like the last bastion of hope for the independent butcher shop. I do acknowledge that even the most fervent of people can make mistakes, but there’s simply no excuse for selling meat that’s rotten. I say this in broad strokes with a touch of anger: go to whole foods, or fresh market. You can still get the same hipster ambiance, but you get a professional dealing with what matters — quality.

I think it is about time for me to review this place. The menu changes depending on the season and availability of certain items but they’ll be more than happy to recommend a sandwich that is to your tasting. I had the Brick-Pressed Prosciutto($ 8.50) during my recent visit with the sandwich consisting of La Quercia’s Prosciutto Americano, provolone, red onion, tomato, aioli, and arugula. Probably one of the better sandwiches I have in Little Rock, much better than the crap you get at Panera. I won’t be surprise if they expand to the River Market whenever they get the chance to as it will make a great addition to the downtown area, especially during the lunch rush(well, lunch rush for Arkansas standards). I’ve been away so this place in Ohio and this place is like heaven to me when it comes to fresh cuts of meat. However, it fails in comparison to what I was use to in Ohio at West Side Market. I’ll still frequent this little shop for their food and meats and will continue to recommend them. So much potential here and they should kick it up a notch. I won’t make a recommendation on what sandwich to get as it frequently changes and they are all delicious as well(well, i’ve been 4⁄4 on my sandwich decision here).
