Cost Plus Furniture

I bought 2 bedroom suites including mattress and box spring, an office desk set made by Ashley’s which I saw at Ashley’s for 30% more, a scratched dinning table, and TV media center. The prices here are the best that I’ve seen in Little Rock. They don’t have as much on display as other stores do but they can order things. I really wanted to order a couch, love seat, and recliner set, but didn’t because once you order it you’re pretty much stuck with it, if you like it or not. I also didn’t have any success haggling with them, with the exception of the scratched table. I’m not sure if that is because they could tell I was excited by the prices in the first place or if they just don’t budge. I also have a problem with the financing. It’s a third party lender who approved me on the spot but not for the amount of my entire order. I left the store and they called me an hour later saying my credit line has been increased to my order amount. A few days later I got a cost plus credit card from the lender. I thought it would be a retail loan, not a credit card. it will show up on your credit as a maxed out credit card loan. I will give an update on delivery and set up service.
I still haven’t gotten a bill for my furniture, I can’t reach the billing company either. I’m wondering is it some kind of trick so they can say I paid late and charge me interest. Delivery was ok though. There was a small gash in my TV stand and the guy said they did they on purpose to give it an antique look. (bs) He was very helpful though, no other problems with set up. He was even going to set my TV up on the stand and everything but I was missing some screws.

I don’t know why I always go here last when I’m furniture shopping. I guess because it’s a little far out. Every time, though, it’s worth the drive. This place is not fancy, and they know it. That’s part of the reason they can offer such great prices: low overhead. I bought my couch, bed, and tv stand here (on 3 separate occasions, over the past couple years). They had the exact same tv stand that I loved at Dillard’s – for half the price!
