Squeezed in next to an asian food market is this hole-in-the-wall eatery that is quite delicious! I love their duck, and their potstickers are delicious. Prices are great too

I’ve eaten here several times and really like their shrimp dishes. This is just my taste, but when I’ve ordered chicken dishes, they seem to use dark meat chicken, which I don’t like much. However, every beef and shrimp dish I’ve eaten has been really good. It’s the best for authentic Chinese food in Little Rock!:

Nice atmosphere but the food is extremely bland. The Kung Pao Chicken and Chicken w/broccoli was presented well, but lacked a significant taste in my opinion. Service was adequate and staff was friendly & helpful. I won’t eat here again, but not because of anything other than the lack of taste in the food.

Everything is awesome here! Get the hotpot! 5* just for that alone. JUSTDON’T GETSPICY or you’ll burn your face off(and not to mention what comes later lol). The Kim Chi base is perfect! Hurry before it’s gone for warmer weather!

Having lived in China for a few years, I was nervous to try this restaurant, but I can assure you that Mr. Chen’s is authentically delicious! I give it 5 stars because it is not your«stir fry some meat/veggies and add an overly sweet, canned sauce on top» type of Chinese restaurant. I never see Chinese people in those types of places! But you’ll definitely see Chinese families, university students and all others in Mr. Chen’s. Try any dish that sounds good and you won’t be disappointed. Unless you like the Americanized Chinese dishes… they don’t serve those here! Prices are fair, portions are big and flavors are great.

The food was amazing, I had the combination fried rice, egg rolls, and orange chicken. The egg rolls were the best I’d ever had. Service was amazing, never had my drink go under half full. Definantly recommend to everyone. The building’s sign just says superstore, but don’t think the resturant inside is any the lesser for it.

This restaurant is located alongside an asian grocery store. There seemed to be quite a language barrier when we arrived, but that in no way took away from the experience we were about to have. My family and I ordered the crab Rangoon starter, roasted duck, Mr. Chen’s crazy spicy chicken and Mongolian beef. The crab rangoons were amazing and the others dishes were as well. The Mongolian beef was the best I’ve ever had. The spicy chicken was spicy when combined with the flower peppers they are cooked with. The roasted duck was my least favorite but was very edible and had flavors from the East. My only complaint is that it was freezing in the restaurant and could feel no heat at all. The food came out hot but we were left cold while waiting. This was a great experience and I will return very soon.

Not the best area, but such good food. Large portions and so flavorful-great for sharing. Prices are reasonable and it’s in a grocery store so can pick up stuff on the way out.

Probably one of the best authentic Chinese food you can get in Little Rock. Highly recommend the crazy spicy chicken(basically diced chicken battered and fried with chili peppers) and the tofu with crispy bean blend. In late Fall and Winter, they also serve hot pot which I would need to try since Little Rock doesn’t have a hot pot place. The service at Mr Chen’s is pretty good. If you are in North Little Rock, I would try Mr Cheng’s, which has the same food and menu as Mr Chen’s but with different owners.

The best Chinese in Little Rock. Huge portions and reasonable prices. I’ve had great service every time I’ve gone. Wish they’d do a dim-sum.

Chen is a grocery and restaurant in one place. When we walk into restaurant, we did not have our hope up too high for this restaurant. But the food did wow us. We were immediately seated when we’re at the restaurant. We order the chef fire wok intestine with veggie, Mongolian beef, and the crispy frog leg. While we were waiting, we saw the kitchen door was open and the chef may be 30 plus year old. I can imagine his skill may be in the average level. The intestines came out and it was stir fried in high heat old in high BTU. The intestines are crispy and very nice. The Mongolian beef is cook sweet soy sauce and beef is tender. The surprise is the frog leg is deep fried and coated with five spice seasoning with a bit basil. All the food are fantastic. Unfortunately they are not in Tampa so I can visit daily.

This restaurant attaches to a grocery store. It offers very authentic Chinese dish and the pricing is very affordable. We had 3 dishes and they were all incredibly delicious. Praised the skills of their chef Chen! The service was good. This is a great place for good Chinese food In little rock.

Thé best authentic Chinese in Arkansas! This is good quality Chinese food for«Chinatown» in Queens, NY, much less Little Rock. We are lucky to have this place. If you want some tingling numbness in your mouth, order the beef in hot oil or Ma Po Tofu. Large portions of spicy and numbing Sichuan food! The Chen’s crazy spicy chicken isn’t super spicy but it does have the tingling Flower Peppers that make your mouth numb. The steamed dumplings are good– but they do not have XLB(xiao long bao, or soup dumplings) as some have reported. It’s best to go with a big group, buy a bunch of $ 6 – 10 entrees and split it to get the best taste. Even their Americanized stuff is good… Orange chicken, sesame chicken, etc. Service is slow, but helpful if you have questions. Go here!

Probably the most authentic Chinese food in Little Rock. It’s in a not so nice area so we always use Chef Shuttle to deliver, but we’ve dined there before. The people who operate it is Chinese so that’s a plus. We’ve order: Cashew Chicken: Chicken, mushrooms, and zucchini in a brown sauce — This is probably my favorite dish. It’s a bit salty but with the white rice it makes the saltiness less subtle. Chicken Fried Rice: Delicious Beef Chow Fun: Kids favorite(minus the bean sprouts) House Tofu: S P I C Y but pretty good. I can’t do spicy but it was tasty(after downing a gallon of water!) Egg drop Soup: A bit bland Dumplings: Just OK The price is pretty good and so is the quality.

I was reluctant walking into a grocery store and then going to eat in a restaurant in it. I’m glad I did! Very authentic Chinese food at a great value. You must try the steamed dumplings & the shrimp noodles. You know is a great restaurant when it’s full of the Asian community eating!

What to say about Mr. Chen’s? Well, I’ve got several things. One, the menu. There are so many good options on that menu. I e never gotten a bad thing off their expansive list of dishes and appetizers. In fact, just last night, I went there with my folks and we sampled three entrees and two appetizers between us with more than enough leftovers to bring home. We tried a couple new items last night and continually try to sneak in a new one upon each visit. The tilapia and tofu in hot bean sauce was new to me, as was the oyster and tofu soup. Both were great. The shredded pork, tofu, and bamboo shoots is a tried and true favorite as is the basil chicken. Finally, if you are able to get your hands on an order of the pan fried turnip cakes with sweet chili sauce, do it! The staff is quite nice and just the right amount of attentive with their customers. The food is made fresh and brought out as each dish is finished. So if you expect all your food at once, don’t. It’s a mystery of what will come out first and last, but that’s half the fun of dining there! Finish your meal with the orange wedges and a fortune cookie on your way out. I will be back, and I’d highly recommend folks to check it out. If you’re feeling feisty, walk the aisles of the attached grocery store. They’ve got a lot of really great items tucked away in their aisles. I’m a very satisfied customer!

Best Chinese in Little Rock. I have had the opportunity to visit SE Asia, as well as try Chinese in San francisco, NY, Chicago and other large cities and this place gives them a run for their money. The location itself is not the best or most convenient from West LR, but their partnership with Chef Shuttle fixes that problem. My personal favorite is the Braised Pork and my wife loves the Basil chicken(paired with the combo fried rice)

The food was over all tasty, but not remarkable. I’d may be the Chinese food equivalent of a big mac. I stopped by one day on my way to Nashville. I had the tofu, which was pretty tasty. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, considering the sadness of the asian market next door. The quality of the food is good and food was tasty. While is not remarkable, it is a solid option for anyone craving an authentic taiwanese food experience.
