Ernie Biggs, has a live band, which plays country music located on the bottom floor and they have a dance club and DJ which plays pop, hip-hop /rap and dance music upstairs. This was very unclear as we walked past Ernie Biggs and wondered if we had approached the right location. So, you take a flight of stairs up and the space is relatively small and dimly lit. There’s a long bar which measures the length of the far wall. There are also plenty of tables and chairs which circle the dance floor. To enter there was a five dollar cover for ladies and ten dollars for men. The drinks are watered down and we believe that they are refilling their top shelf bottles with cheap liquor and up-charging at top shelf prices for drinks… Horrible, horrible business practices.

Shawn is so hot! My friends always beg me to come here just to bask in his presence. The drinks are good, but not always the cheapest. I guess you can afford to charge more when working with such raw talent. We’ll be back whenever I am in town, my guy friends just can’t stay away! Xo

I’m originally from the area but I’ve moved away since high school so I don’t know a ton about the night scene in Little Rock. With that said, my friends took me out to Ernie Biggs and I had zero to little expectations but went with an open mind. We went on a Friday around 11:30 and I was surprised to see a line formed outside the bar. So yes, factor that in your timeline as well as the $ 10 cover. FYI, if you don’t have cash, the bouncer will hold your ID while you pay the cover at the bar and then have you bring the receipt back so you can get stamped. The place was BUMPIN’ upstairs! I had never experienced Little Rock this way so I am glad we went! There was a good mix of people and everyone was so friendly! Go if you are looking for a fun night out with your friends! Who can say no to $ 5 mixed drinks/$ 3 beers? Just remember that smoking is permitted indoors. I’m knocking off one star due to the relatively high cover and lack of efficiency behind the bar. Why would you have staff behind the bar if they’re not tending to customers?

Drove in on a Monday from Ohio and found this place to be very welcoming. Good music and lots of fun. Yes people smoke in there so if you don’t like smoke don’t go! Don’t write a bad review over it!

Who is the idiot that runs this place? My friends and I came to town for a concert. Not just any concert, but a GARTHBROOKS concert. Not only was it a Saturday night during happy hour but it was the night of a huge concert, and they had ONE bartender! The place wasn’t even full and we waited over 30 minutes to get up to the bar, without being served. They may have great food and drinks but their service is a joke. Skip if you want served in a reasonable amount of time.

This place is into letting people in so they can hang. It’s loud, smokey, and an all around good time. I requested B*Witched C’est La Vie and they played it– that’s all I’m really looking for out of a piano bar. Arrived with 7 of my buddies and the bouncers cut us a slight break on the $ 10 /person cover. The bar tenders were great. Twice we went to the bar and ordered a round of shots all around and the bar tender was loving it– 7 vegas bomb shots got our server hooting and hollering. The«showman» service fits; the piano performers were into it and loving life. While some of the«birthday roasts» got a little graphic(our buddy Ronak will attest to that) the performers were great and covering all the classics. Shout out to the violin girl who stood on the piano and killed it during the Devil Went Down To Georgia rendition. They piano performers were talking any and all requests so the music was all over the place. Miley made her expected appearance and I seem to recall a little gangsters paradise in there somewhere. The $ 4 Shiner Block was perfect to sit back and relax with. We were sporting the Woo Pig Sooie gear so one of the highlights was when my buddy traded his University of Arkansas hawaiian t-shirt to some tiny girl for her T-Shirt; it’s just that kind of a place. Ernie Bigg’s… keep up the good work. I’m already looking forward to next year’s trip.

If you are going to be a piano bar, then be a real piano bar. Play songs people like and will sing along to. Overall, this was the worst piano bar I have ever been to. Light pour drinks, $ 5 cover, slow service and bad music. This place sucks out loud

It was a Tuesday night… Not much going on… again, Tuesday night. I am a huge fan of live music so when I saw a couple of guys on stage, one playing a mandolin and the other an acoustic guitar, I decided to give it a try. There maybe 30 people at the most in there. Most looked college age and VERY liberal… hippy…(exactly like I was at their age). The guys on stage were the opening act I learned. I caught the last few songs of their set. They were decent players, but could not sing worth a crap. While they were playing I got to observe the crowd. There was a particularly interesting table with 6 or 7 older gents with long hair… 3 of them sporting crazy ass tie-died t-shirts. Well… Soon I learned that Tuesday night is the night for the Grateful Dead tribute band, and these guys were the members… and roadies, I guess. While I am by no means a Dead Head… I like the Grateful Dead just fine. The tribute band members were all very good at their individual instruments. I heard amazing lead guitar… excellent bass… very good drumming and solid keyboard work. All together… they were just ok. I enjoyed it but they played too many slower songs. When they would just jam to an upbeat song, it was very enjoyable. All in all… it was a fun outing. Had there been a cover charge, I might have been pissed off. But since it was a free outing(other than a couple of beers) it was fine.

Great place to chill! Age limit suggestions 21 – 33 on top floor and 34+ on the bottom floor. The bottom floor was very boring to me not much going on. The top floor is much more live and has better music for a younger crowd! I loved the music and great suggestions came about. The waitress’s were incredibily nice(which is weird but awesome) and the enviroment was ok… There was a drunk guy wobbling around and said something to my friend which wasnt cool. I would have expected for a bouncer to have done something at that point. Other than that I liked the top floor met many friends that I didnt expect to meet! Good place to chill.

Never been to a piano bar before and it was fun! They have two-three guys just dueling it out as customers pay money to have their songs played/stopped/played again or to just have them sing about a random topic they write on a computer that shows up on a television screen. They get the audience really involved in what they do and I think that helps make it more fun. The waitresses were really good about getting our orders and making sure we know they are ready for us as soon as we sat down. The upstairs dance floor was tiny but it was still cool to see that we have an option to just hop on up there to dance and have fun with our friends after we were done with the piano part downstairs. I read some of the other reviews and don’t really understand why anyone would even want to have an «intimate» conversation in places like this. It’s the same thing as trying to chat with your friend at a concert and then saying it’s bad because the singer was too loud. –_– Anyhow, these guys sing in all good fun, so if you have a sense of humor, you’d enjoy it.

Sing us a song on the dueling pianos man… This place is really a two for one and I’m not talking about the pianos alone. There is a dance club upstairs that goes off after 11. The piano bar is fun, the stick is fairly well rehearsed, jokes/lines expected and the audience participation was fairly supportive. Cheap drinks(we are in Little Rock) and if you want to get dance to a repetitive urban dance beat and sweaty just go upstairs.

I was in Arkansas for work last week and my coworker and I stumbled upon this joint while we were there for work. I must say this was my first time going to a dueling piano bar and it was great! We got there before they opened and they let us in for free and we posted up by the bar and began getting our drank on!!! The staff was mad cool and the waitress were cute! I was surprised of the hoochie beauty in Arkansas. :) Once they started the piano players played requests and it was fun! I kept the songs flowing and they all did a great job! We ended up kicking it with one of the piano cats«Jim» and he was mad cool. They have a DJ upstairs who was«whiz-ack!!» dude couldn’t blend a song to save his life! yawn to the upstairs part! it was full of local yocals that were annoying. i had this swarmy drunk dude all in my face talking about how many hoes he can mack. lol. other than that i had a ball. the bartenders were on-point and quick. so if you find yourself in billy clinton’s hometown hit up Ernie Biggs for a good time!

Most LR bars close at 10PM. This bar is open until 2AM, at least on Sundays. That’s the best feature of this place. Never a big fan of dueling pianos. People getting wasted and singing(poorly) to bad Billy Joel songs. Anyway, drinks were crazy cheap — $ 2 Stella Artois, which made the place bearable.

THEREISNOTHINGINTHEWORLD I HATEMORETHANERNIEBIGG’S. I still have yet to even remotely understand why people choose to visit these kinds of places(also see Willy D’s, which is practically the same awful establishment). I am convinced people go here only because they do not 1) know how or 2) want to carry on interesting, entertaining, and enlightening conversations with friends, as any sort of decent conversation is drowned out by stupid pop songs turned dirty and(in my opinion) misogynistic. The drinks: overpriced and nothing to write home about. The service: bitchy(I would be to if I had customers screaming orders at me over the crass version of Margaritaville). Seriously, my friends from out of town came to LR for a weekend and asked me to meet them down there. I flat out said no, and that it was an insult to our friendship to expect to enjoy an evening together there. If you love your friends, go somewhere else(but not to Willy D’s).

I am reviewing the upstairs of Ernie Bigg’s. I went here with the group of law students. We got there about 10:30PM. Possibly a little earlier. There was a cover of $ 5.00. Compared to Atlanta, where bars can be so much more than 5 bucks. This wasn’t terrible or anything. The upstairs had a DJ that was nice. I went up to request some stuff, even though he didn’t have any 80’s music, he was very nice and was willing to try to find the stuff. The bartenders were very fast and helpful. I only got bottled bud light for $ 3.00. Which is cheap compared to Atlanta. The atmosphere was nice. Young adults in the lower to mid twenty’s. There was a small space for dancing right in front of the DJ. Not many people were dancing. A lot were more chilling on the sofas and tables they had throughout the place. Smoking is permitted in this place, which I’m assuming they are permitted in Little Rock, so that was the only annoying thing about the bar. I parked in the public parking that was about a block or two over under a highway bridge. Even though it was free parking, I wouldn’t have felt safe walking by myself at night. So if you have a buddy system, it is definitely fine. They played a lot of hip hop music. The music was more recent songs that you know and you can definitely grind too if you want to dance. So you get clubbing music minus the techno mix, but you don’t have to get all dolled up for the place. Disclaimer: I didn’t hang at the downstairs piano area, but it look packed at 10:30PM with no sitting area. So the group I was with wouldn’t have been able to go there anyway.

When I want to go out to a piano bar, I am wanting something a bit more intimate. The setup is dualing pianos against the wall and a small bar at the rear of the building. The exposed brick adds to the mindless clutter or random chairs and piano players who constantly are batteling over ways to raise tips. Sure tip them but it should not be a battle between players to see who can raise the highest tip. I tipped one night and asked for anything from Harry Connick Jr. He was like, «I’ll see if I can play it.» He attempted it and only got through part of the song. I noticed this one night when there was a swat expo in town. They had each of the teams ‘auctioning off’ songs. It was not what I called fun.
