The ambience is very casual. The prices are mid-range. I had the Ruben-esque. It was cery plain and pretty much just Sysco food applied to a theme. But… that was my bad for ordering a fast food ruben — my search for the perfect Ruben continues! The staff was VERY nice and prompt with everything. The music was good, but all over the place(electronica, country, etc) which I don’t mind too much, but I feel that I should give you a heads up. My friends had the brats and the soft pretzels. I tried one of everything and it was all quite good. The queso fries were also quite delicious, and satisfied my yearning for a guilty pleasure. I would come back for their beers and brats for sure… but not the ruben.

A great restaurant and awesome they are open late. I did come in and placed a to go with a waitress, Ash M, and then walked around right by the door outside. I was fully expecting to get a nod from her once my food was ready. After awhile I was shocked how long it was taking. Finally at 30 minutes I walked in to see my order sitting on the counter. She never gave me the nod and by the time i came in my pizza was not hot like I would have enjoyed. Disappointed with that for sure and will be more aware when I come back.

This is very laid back bar. Great waitresses and bartenders. Awesome selection of craft beers also local brews on tap and bottle. Down stairs they have some pool tables and a dart boards. I frequent this bar and have no plans of stopping anytime soon

Good spot to grab a beer. For food, I have only had the pretzels and cheese dip, they’re large and delicious. I like going here for a laid back atmosphere and the service is decent. I’ve been here several times and when they have been busy it’s a little harder to get their attention since it’s a «seat yourself» restaurant but it comes with the territory.

My husband is a beer aficionado of sorts, which brought us to the Flying Saucer. He was surprised that they have an exceedingly limited number of local beers on tap, which is the main reason we visited. We also found it humorous that when he asked for a recommendation, our waitress asked if he likes coffee beers, and he answered no, so she recommended Stone’s Throw Dark Helmet. He could taste the coffee on his first sip: it’s even listed as a coffee beer. There are over 200 to choose from, so the chances of her picking a coffee beer should have been slim. No? The bar has a few tv’s that show sports, and bar patrons yell at the players on the screen the same as if they were at the game. One woman even pulled out a harmonica and started playing. There is a good mix of customers of all ages, races, and social classes, which we find enjoyable. The waitresses wear low cut tank tops and mini skirts, and I really don’t care to look at a woman’s chest. If you have to show your chest for good tips, you’re not a good enough waitress. Just my two cents, and I’m not a guy. :) The food is typical bar food. The pretzel tastes good, but is as airy as Wonder Bread on the inside. The German Plate comes with a tiny bit of sauerkraut and low quality sausages. I don’t recommend ordering a mixed drink, because they don’t know how to make them well, even with a recipe. We’d come back again, but will search for a different place for next time.

This place is pretty cool, to bad it is in little rock and not conway! They have a HUGETAPWALL as well as a pretty cool downstairs area with pool tables, couches and other seating areas. It gets pretty packed for obvious reasons — its cool — you can order your drink(s) at a computer, print the ticket and then hand it to the bar tender. Can’t speak any on the food as I never had any there however, the food that always ran from the kitchen to the table looked and smelled good.

So I have been to several Flying Saucers. They are OK but nothing great. However tonight was not my best experience. I had Kim, who said she had worked here eight years. It started off good but she almost never returned. They were not that busy! I had the pizza and it was good and a German wheat beer. The only real issue was the service. Took my order then someone else brought me the food. When the beer was gone I just had an empty glass. I finally flagged her down to get the check. Even then she barely spoke

Great for taking out-of-towners. Cool vibe, with weekly specials and so many beers. Hit up Monday pint night. The food is decent bar grub and a reasonable price. The rocket tots-a mix b/w tater tots and jap peppers are so tasty.

Amazing selection of beers on tap. All the servers are very knowledgeable about the beers and can advise based on your tastes. The atmosphere was fun on trivia night. We performed quite poorly, but there was still a lot of camaraderie among the groups that were playing. Food-wise the loaded rocket tots are the bomb! Nice and crunchy on the outside, they are literally loaded with toppings. The Mac n cheese and the wings were also very tasty. Fun atmosphere, great beer selection, tasty food, and friendly service. Highly recommend!

I was in town for a conference. On my way in from the airport I asked the cab driver where he would recommend downtown. He suggested Flying Saucer. When I checked in I asked the desk clerk at the Doubletree Hotel where she would suggest. She suggested Flying Saucer. So that’s where I went for dinner with some colleagues. They have a great beer selection. Menu items good too. I had the Sheboygan Bratwurst Sandwich along with German Potato Salad and pickle. All very well prepared. I really enjoyed the Potato Salad. Our server was okay… she was a little spacey and we had to flag her down for everything. But she was nice once we got her attention and was conversant in all of the menu offerings as well as the beer. There were a lot of people in there and it was loud. But for a weeknight it was bustling. Lots of young professionals and some middle age professionals. That was cool. Check out this place when you’re in Little Rock.

Visiting from California and my buddy took me to this place and have to say it’s really cool, fun Bar! Over 100 beers and the staff is friendly. Will go back when I’m in town.

Pretty good beer selection. The food isn’t bad, pretty standard for beer food fare. The service was OK– but they seemed preoccupied with other things whenever we wanted another beer… They acted as though it was a burden. The«tater tots» with bacon, cheese, and sauce are really good though. I’d skip the chicken sandwich or the«banh mi» though, as I thought they weren’t anything special for the price.

Only in town for work, so we checked out downtown little rock. This spot felt the closest to home(California) which was nice. MUSTGET: Six Point Resin IPA(New York) honestly though, why the eff can I not find this beer anywhere else?! it’s been driving me crazy since I’ve been back from AR but I will find it again one day. It really is a must try! Food: Nothing on the menu was really appealing. Tried to fancy up pub food too much I guess? We got the buffalo wings(which were delicious hahahaha) perfect crisp on the outside tossed in buffalo sauce… Drooling just thinking about them now. Anyway, makes me think I should give their menu another shot when if I come back here. Service: I’m always so in love with the«southern care» when I’m in the south. But I didn’t really get much of that in this particular spot. Which I’m not mad about(too used to no care back home lol) just had my expectations set. Honestly, bartenders/servers were acting it was crazy busy in there… Which it literally was not(all the tables were full, that’s about it). I might be hating just a tad. But I saw bartenders/servers in a corner just talking while the bar was full with one bartender. But who knows maybe they were on a break. 4 Stars because it really is a neat spot if you’re visiting. Mugs Café is still the greatest place in Arkansas(totally random statement). One more thing: a great place to watch sports they have a huge projector display and tvs in good spots.

Stopped in for a light dinner. Shared a Sheboygan side by side sandwich(brat sandwich) with spicy mustard, potato salad and pickle. The bread was very fresh and soft. The brat with kraut, German potato salad were excellent. The beer selection was huge. Draft and bottle. Looking at the menu we found that they have many locations. We will definitely try the one near us in Nashville. Overall the service, food and atmosphere was great.

Came here while visiting a friend. At first glance this restaurant is intriguing, saucers all over the ceiling and walls, a nice long row of tap beers with a rotating selection and nice well rounded menu. I was going back and forth between a few things but decided on the Chicken Cesar Wrap because it had sun-dried tomatoes and I love a well made CCW. Our waitress recommended I get the fries with that, so I obliged. I ordered a guinness on tap and ended up sending it back because it tasted sour. I then decided to choose my own flight, every beer was delicious but the Boulevard Chocolate Ale stood out the most. When I got home I even called my local beer distributor to order. I can’t give this place stars because this beer was delicious, they didn’t make it. I can only speak from the terrible wrap and cold, stale fries I was served. The chicken in my wrap tasted like bagged, pre-cooked chicken and the wrap was oddly dense and chewy. My friends salads were incredibly disappointing, lacking in all aspects; not enough premium ingrediants, watery, flavorless dressing and just small. Come here for a few beers and then maybe you will be tipsy enough to enjoy an app or two.

I visited the Saucer over a year ago and as a first experience it was great. Lunchtime stop and I had a sandwich that was just superb. I can’t remember the name of it to save my life though. It was a muffuletta type deal. I recently stopped in again this afternoon for a late lunch and a beer while wandering around downtown Little Rock. If it’s beer you’re after this is definitely the place. A full rotating menu with plenty to choose from to include explanations of the different brews available. It’s even broken down by local brews, alcohol content, special selections, draughts, and more. I ordered the banh-mi sandwich from the menu and an IPA. Mary, my waitress was attentive and friendly. The sandwich was so-so. Nothing to write home about, but the Sixpoint Resin IPA was on point! Atmosphere always great. Always busy so that’s a great sign. Stop in when in Little Rock for sure and have a pint; or two!

There was a time in the recent past where Flying Saucer fell out of favor due to poor management and the downfalls that go with such a state of affairs. However, I am happy to report that this is no longer the case as Flying Saucer is yet again under new COMPETENT management so they are back on «the pub crawl list» lol. A totally revamped menu, good food at a fair price, extensive selection of beer also at a fair price and polite, knowledgeable staff that gives excellent service. Jessica is an absolute doll! Whether it’s good beer or good food or great service all for a reasonable price you seek… ORALLOFTHEABOVE… Stop in. You’ll be glad you did.

I’ll admit that when my husband and two of our friends wanted to go «bar-hopping» down at the River Market, I was not looking forward to it. I’m not a drinker and bars just aren’t my kinda place. I was thoroughly surprised when I actually had a great time and got a good meal out of it. When you first walk in, you’ll of course notice the 5 bazillion plates on the wall for the people who have completed the«200 beer challenge». My husband, being a beer connoisseur, signed up for it. It’s 18 $ and you get a nice, gray«beerknurd shirt. Pretty much, you have to try 200 different beers and you get your own plate on the wall with your choice of picture and words. You wanna call yourself«Deez Nuts», go right ahead. Only 3 beers a day count though. Our waitress was Sara and she was adorable, sweet and very knowledgeable about the beers. My husband told her what he liked and she came up with recommendations. You can also order«tasters» of each beer before a purchase. He ended up trying 6 – 7, including the«European Flight», which is basically 5, 5oz glasses of European beer. They also had«Around the World», «USA», and«Local» flights. He highly recommends the«Hoegaarden». The food was phenomenal. I’d definitely recommend either of the two German meals with the bratwurst because the oil based potato salad was AMAZING and the bratwurst was juicy and tender. Or you can grab a Cobb salad which was equally wonderful. The food selection was pretty small, so I’d eat before coming here. This is a great place to try some new beer, not some new food. It was way too dark in here for selfies but the place was clean, the beer selection diverse, and our service was spot-on. We’ve found our new«place» in Downtown Little Rock. Highly recommend.
